WEEK XX
Hope everyone's had a great week!

Had you mixed up anything previously that you've tested this past week or so? It would be great if you could share your findings here. Maybe you've found the ultimate flavor? Or was it one of those that you wonder why they bothered bottling it? Does it have a unique quality that maybe works for you? And be honest with us, we can take the cold hard truth. Even if your taste-buds don't agree with everyone else's, it's probably good to indicate what you're getting when you vape that flavor concentrate mixed on it's own. Because there is probably at least one other person out there may run into the same thing.

Going to use a previously mentioned flavor for purposes of an example:
PUR Country Apple - Pretty Good
Originally, didn't place much value on this as a stand-alone. Two months worth of steeping had passed since then and feel that it's really pretty good. Apple, to me, is one of those flavors that don't do much by itself. By adding a couple of drops of Super Sweet, it gives it a nice bump to more enjoyable for a while. It's not a candy apple then; rather somewhere between baked goodness and apple-saucy sweetness. Feel it's an accurate representation of what it is supposed to be. Hadn't used it yet, but thinking it will do well when paired with a strawberry or a tobacco.

Again, hope you can share your thoughts with us!
Everyone needs to try out Vapetrain's new Paw Paw. If you're a tropical fruit enthusiast like me this is a must have. Such a unique flavor and it's so hard to describe. Works hand in hand with peach flavorings.
Youve got my interest! Whats the profile, mango?
I made a bomb ass recipe with it that is my best to this date that I wish I could share with everyone, but I'm planning on trying to commercialize it in the future. :( If you get it I would suggest. 5% solo, 4% dominant role, 2-3% mid note, 1-2% accent.
I just mixed up FA Meringue, because I was tired of all the complex or sweet juices. I just wanted... something vague. Really nice! Im probably going to put something else with it next time, but its good when you just have vapors tongue and need to take a break for some day or two.
I think I have vape tongue, don't think I've had it before, but I got this lemonade recipe from Bullcity, and I cannot taste it at all. It tastes really good when I put a drop on my finger, but I've tried it in on an rta and rda, the flavor just doesnt exist even after steeping for 5 days lol
I’m assuming it’s the best damn pink lemonade recipe. For one, this recipe loses flavor very quickly and should be vaped within 3-4 days. After 3 days the flavor really drops. Also, I get fatigue from this recipe after a day or two. I usually only mix enough to vape right away. It’s damn good as a shake and vape but has no shelf life.
Well idk if best is the right word, at least for me lol Yeah I read that it was shake and vape, but I tried it right after mixing a 60ml bottle, then waited a few days, no change. So I decided to make a 30ml bottle and made damn sure it was accurate and still nothing. Its odd cause I can taste any other juice, even the grack juice that I also got from bullcity, but this lemonade I just cannot taste it in vape form. Idk I guess its just my taste buds lol
I'm going to agree with you here. this lemonade is a shake and vape and totally loses flavor over time. a lot of the lemonade can be maintained with potent flavors like INW Lemon Mix or like FA Lemon Sicily which are used is very small amounts because of it's potency but should be mixed in small batches and vaped quickly
I'm boring, my ADV is TFA/TPA wintergreen @ 3%, 50/50 3mg/ml smooth salts.
Same blend for Cap Strawberries and cream, which I quite enjoy as a single flavor.
The other two mixes I use are cran-grape, and a butterscotch/sugar cookie/tobacco blend.
I tried TFA Wintergreen once and all i got was 'dentist'. INW Mint Mix is much more my thing.
Was kinda wondering if sugar cookie would work with a tobacco. Which concentrate are you using for the latter?
The one I like most is hangsen Arabic tobacco. It's got a really unique flavor that's really, really strong. I use that and cap sugar cookie v2. Can't remember which butterscotch I use, though.
It's been a while since I made a batch and this is kinda inspiring me to do so this weekend lol.
Flavorah Watermelon is a little bland @2%. Not sure what I was tasting. Light watermelon flavor maybe but with a strange after taste. It didn't make me think, "Oh that's watermelon for sure!". I dunno... Maybe others have a better description. I'll have to try it again at different levels and also in tandem with something like strawberry.
It's a weak, fragile flavor IMO. It's one of those that needs help from other melons to help bring out some flavor. I did a quick mix of 3% FLV Watermelon, 2% FLV Wild Melon, 1% FA Fuji Apple, 0.5% CAP SS for a quick melon vape. Was lacking... something to boost it. Might try a touch of INW Cactus or koolada or something.
TFA Double Chocolate Clear. 5%. Slightly sweet, milk chocolate (think Hershey's, really creamy). Really reminds me of ganache with it's strong cream tone, and it has a sweetness to it that I found fine on it's own, and because of this it can really hold itself up.
Molinberry Glamour Chocolate. 4%. More of a dark chocolate, with that semi-sweet tone, no cream or additive mixed in, just straight semi-sweet chocolate. Has a dryness that reminds me of a baker's chocolate bar. This is a chocolate-chocolate flavor.
Between the two above, TFA seems more suited as the main flavor and wants to be mixed with a cream. Molinberry is very stripped down, but complex and I can see it working in some other interesting applications like tobacco instead of with just creams, so very versatile so where I see TFA's being used, Molinberry can be the dark swap-in.
TFA DX Peanut Butter. 5%. It's hard putting my finger on this flavor. Sure, I get that nuttiness. But it's light, and there's this slight buttery/cream note, and there's a dryness that strips away that peanut flavor for me. I do get a roasted undertone. Like it's close, damn close to a peanut butter as it has all the elements, but it's just missing that peanut flavor by a shy bit.
TFA RY-4 Double - 4%
I just started mixing and wanted a simple tobacco for cloud chasing. Mixed it with 80/20 VG base and 3 mg nicotine. It's got a light tobacco flavor, hints of vanilla and caramel with a slightly sweet exhale. I'm vaping it as it steeps and the flavor has become smoother with time. This is currently my ADV, but I have a few other tobacco flavors steeping, so we'll see how long that lasts.
Edit: I had the % wrong
Wow, you're using less than half of what percentage I use. Since you're able to get flavor with your mix, may try to drop it down a couple of percent.
I fucking love PUR Country Apple. Definitely a hidden gem. Also HC Cookie is...odd. It packs an interesting flour note that helps to drive its authenticity, along with a touch of light butter. But there's just something off about it. That said, it's looking promising in making cookie dough - a white whale of mine.
Cinnamons!
TFA Cinnamon - Really weird, busy cinnamon. It mostly tastes like a really Red Hots, but with hints of clove, wood, and citrus. I get how it should work to make it more like a bakery cinnamon than a candy but it comes across as just a mess. It’s a thick, full-flavored thing but beyond the Red Hots candy top note the weird stuff starts, first a lemony citrus, then some clove that’s strong enough to give me that slight numbness I get with vaping clove flavors or smoking clove cigarettes, and finally a woody flavor that I guess is supposed to be a cinnamon stick but tastes more like FA Oakwood or something. Lingering cinnamon and clove.
FW Cinnamon - Candy cinnamon with a hint of clove and more harshness than it should have for the amount of flavor. Cinnamon with a hint of clove sounds like a start to a nice bakery spice blend, but when the cinnamon taste like cinnamon bears candy, having a hint of clove is really weird. Like, let’s just sprinkle some clove on these cinnamon bears, that makes sense. I think it’s eugenol that’s supposed to make the cinnamon taste more like bakery cinnamon but it doesn’t fit together properly. Also making sense is cinnamon flavors be a bit rough, that’s a thing. But this one seems to hit me in the throat harder than it should. Thick but bland and not particularly sweet body more along the lines of cinnamon bears than Red Hots or Hot Tamales. The clove could get covered up, though, in a mix, so it might work for a good cinnamon candy, but the harshness I get from it would also have to be mitigated.
TFA Cinnamon Spice -Extremely potent, dry, cinnamon-forward cinnamon and clove spice mix. Very much a bakery cinnamon, not a candy one, with a little clove behind it, like you kept cinnamon and clove next to each other in unsealed containers and some of the clove seeped into your cinnamon. Not bad if you want a cinnamon and clove to mix with ginger and nutmeg for a pumpkin spice mix, or for some other reason, but probably not going to work if you just want some cinnamon. Relatively thin in the middle, with cinnamon and clove crowding the top, but a lingering cinnamon spice. Tested at 0.25% it is intense but not harsh for a cinnamon. Tastes like it could take over a recipe at 0.25% and possible needs a dilution to be useable.
HS Cinnamon - Candy cinnamon without the candy sweetness. Kind of like Big Red gum, but not as sweet. Has somebody to it but the body is just has a slight plasticky chemical note standalone behind the bright red candy. It tastes light enough to get covered up in a mix. Lingering spicy candy cinnamon. I’d use this as a candy cinnamon option or something like Big Red, Red Hots, or Hot Tamales, if I had to use Hangsen for some reason, but there are better options that come with their own sweetness and nothing off. On the upside, it’s not too dry, and could work in a cinnamon schnapps kind of situation. Not so much Fireball Whiskey because that’s a little different spice note, but something like Goldschlager or Hot Damn in a cocktail mix.
TFA Cinnamon Red Hot (no PG) - Red hot candy cinnamon without the sweet candy body. Very potent. A bit harsh, between the alcohol base and the cinnamon, but clean, without any off notes. Spiciness builds as it’s vaped so it’s like I don’t think this is very spice to wow yes that’s burning. I don’t want to call it a thin flavor because it has a deep saturation, but it is very one-noted. No nonsense, just red hots.
FA Cinnamon Ceylon - Mostly just a dry, very thin, top-heavy plain bakery cinnamon. I can’t remember who said it first, but there’s a little something off here and as soon as someone described it as a savory curry note and ever since then I’ve been unable to taste this standalone without thinking of curry. Like not enough curry that it’s actually there and you can clearly taste it, but like they extracted the cinnamon from a curry but couldn’t quite get all of the curry out of the cinnamon. Or maybe it’s just hard to separate that raw cinnamon flavor from a savory context. Tastes like it would work well for a place where you must want a little real cinnamon on top and don’t want any depth to it.
FLV Fire Cinnamon - Seems to be FLV’s answer to “just the top” cinnamon without the depth and fullness of their other cinnamons. Does have some body to it, but it’s light, neutral, and fairly thin, also a little dry, with some lingering spicy cinnamon. Not a full-on candy but not a clear bakery spice, either, seems like it could be versatile and go either way depending on whether it’s mixed with a sweet candy base or some bakery thing, but probably not the best choice for either. No off notes. Could also be the cinnamon in on top of a cocktail.
CAP Cinnamon Sugar - It tastes like CAP cinnamon - the same cinnamon in Cinnamon Danish Swirl, Graham Cracker, and Horchata - but with a bland yet sweet base. If that tastes good to you, go for it. If it tastes like metallic, like coins, don’t. It tastes fine to me, but if I think about it too hard, I can easily see the pennies thing. Very weak for a cinnamon flavor. Slightly powdery but not much other texture. Not granulated sugar, like the stuff all over those cinnamon-flavored powdered sugar donut. Similar softness to the cinnamon, too. Dry.
Best Candy Cinnamon: FLV Red Cinnamon - So that’s just Red Hots. Straight up. Extremely potent, 0.25% is full-flavored, full-bodied bright red candy cinnamon. Has a great depth and dense syrupy sweet mouthfeel with a lingering heat. Intense, but nothing chemically or harsh beyond what you’d expect from a red hot candy cinnamon. I want to play around with mixing it with apples just like my great-grandma did. She would boil red hots candies in water and then simmer cored apple halves in there.
Best... no THE Bakery Cinnamon: FLV Rich Cinnamon - This is a perfectly named concentrate, because it has a depth and richness that sets it apart from other cinnamon flavors. It’s a full-bodied cinnamon. If FA Cinnamon Ceylon is extracting the cinnamon from a curry, this is extracting a cinnamon from the gooey stuff inside of a cinnamon roll. It tastes the way cinnamon tastes after it’s been baked into something sweet and rich, rather than just raw spice. It’s just perfect unless you want a candy cinnamon or a cinnamon-on-top note without any body to it. I guess some balk at the price but it’s so concentrated I can’t imagine it being less cost-effective than most flavors out there.
You should receive some kind of award for testing out cinnamon. Not being sarcastic in the least.

Beyond using as an enhancer or "spice", really can't see ever vaping a cinnamon-forward flavor/recipe. It's got to be the most destructive thing to tasting (for me). Reason for saying this is after eating an entire theater-sized box of Hot Tamales candy, my tongue was raw for 2 full days.... to the point that nothing had any taste. Except salt, which really wasn't taste so much as that awful stinging. Hence the reason for thinking you deserve the recognition; potentially sacrificing your palate.
Hi im new to the community prior to my contribution, thanks to everyone for sharing your knowledge, this is just an awesome family!
Havent seen any comments on delosilabs flavors I got myself into diy for just 6 month already and my daily vape is Delosi chocolate coconut 9% Delosi Mega Sweet 1%
This is a tasty blend that stays with you, and it doesn't taste like sunscreen give it a shot
Also like Delosi Strawberry Milk 8% With cheesecake 3% The profile in this one is just a perfect strawberry milk, like the one you get with the nesquik sb powder! Sorry i know this last one doesn't count as a single flavor but its super simple and taste pretty good!
