Have any of you fine folk had any exeperience with diy flavors out of British Columbia, Canada? I recently made my first order from them (yay!). 48mg/ml free amine nicotine in VG seems good, although I have nothing to compare it to. The 48mg/ml nicotine salt base I received, however, has a strong odor and colour when compared to the basic nicotine. Mixed up a 30mg solution, and it was very harsh compared to any other nic salt liquid i've tried.

Is it safe to say its oxidized? Do you think if i asked them to replace it, it would be of better quality?

I buy from them exclusively now. Great selection and recent bought a litre if 48mg freebase. Good stuff. Clear and no smell.

Have zero exp with salts tho

I really like the Abbotsford company. No problem with salt-nic (six months ago, still in freezer batches, slightly yellow but no harsh).

I'd take a pic of it and ask them directly if you think you may have an issue. Customer service has been A-1.

I buy from them all the time and visit the shop regular, I guarantee the owner will swap that out for you no problem. Sounds like somewhere along the line it got exposed to air. I've bought a lot of product from them and it's almost always perfect but there's always that one time for every store. Call them up, and don't be shy - they're great to deal with and very customer oriented.

A little yellow or tinge of yellow is usually still fine. But odors or dark colors is a big no no.

I've bought from them more than I'd like to, mostly because it's tough to find anywhere in canada or quebec that has everything they do, and from other countries the shipping can get outrageous. As for nic - I would never order nic this time of year. Canada Post is gonna bake any shipment of nic. You don't want nic exposed to high temps, or it'll go bad. (Oddly, nic salts are supposed to be more resistant to oxidization than freebase, so your freebase surviving and salts being ruined is odd.

Also, make sure you didn't order the salts meant for masochists. Normally, salts are meant to be smooth, to appeal to those of us not into pain... but they make some for the weirdos too.

'Hit' salts is the most common description

I was under the impression that hit salts were in a pg base and smooth salts were in vg.

it's probably oxidized. nicotine should be basically clear when you get it.

Nic salt has been amber colour for me, regardless of who I've ordered from.

OP. Make sure before you try and replace. I have read Nic salts always have a dark color, so it's necessarily oxidised.

Also you get different types of salt. Some are harsher to give a throat hit.

Lastly. That 30mg, was it in a pod system or a subohm tank?

30mg in a low wattage rebuildable. And nic salts shouldnt have any color from what i've read.

It should be clear. Looking at it in a large container may look yellow, but never brown

The broke vaper is amazing, but he store is based out of Ontario. The shipping shouldn’t be too expensive though.

It took a few days but I got in contact with them. They offered to replace it but refused to acknowledge that there was anything wrong with the product. They said an amber colour was normal, and that nic has a slight odour. This was not a slight odour damnit! They did end up giving me credit towards my next order, so it wasn't an entirely unpleasant transaction. But the explaining away the odor and color as normal really pissed me off.
