#Preamble > Perhaps you noticed there was no Digest for the last couple weeks. Well for those who did: the first week was just plain apathy and the next I was actually on a road trip and couldn’t post. But, in my unnecessary defense, it did take 50 weeks before I finally took a break.

> In other news: I figure it’s about time to share the 2019 Recipe Book: For those who don’t know or don’t live in the subreddit, I put together a Google Doc of all the front page recipe posts throughout the year. I started doing it sometime around the beginning of 2018 for reasons I can’t recall and now it’s just a habit. So far, there are about 60 recipes.

> Coming soon(ish): I’ve been chatting with a few people about collaborating on the Digest to bring a little more content to the table and create something more zine-like that will likely be released once a month. Something similar to this but as a culmination of the weekly posts rather than an outright replacement. If you have any ideas or are interested in being a contributor, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here or on Discord.

• /u/ben_gaming/ helped people discover more possibilities with his “What can I make +2” Tutorial Tuesday

• /u/BulldogIrish shared a helpful gif with his method of Removing Chubby Gorilla Tops “The Easy Way”

• /u/mrgruszka hit us with another “pre-premiere” flavor review (his 16th flavor review to date) this time for oddly named Inawera Cultcumber

• When /u/eyemakepizza is not busy trying to turn salted nic back into freebase he can be found posting weird recipe profiles like “Pineapple White Chocolate RY4” with discontinued flavors you can no longer buy. But at least he gave it an original name... Seduction^*

• Another Grateful Newbie /u/PhantomStranger52 dove into DIY and showered the sub with praise for helping them along the way.

• /u/zutari asked “How can I get a Ramune flavor?” and /u/staybert AKA The Soda Man came through with some solid recommendations on where to start.

• /u/throwaway9732121 asked an intriguing questions about nic salts that, based on the upvotes vs helpful replied, still needs a better answer: Differences between Salicylate, Benzoate and Malate Nicotine

• /u/Team_won was looking for a good lemonade base and ended up getting 8 different solid recommendations.

• /u/Harry_Nice released another Nice recipe called Nice Lemon Coconut Cream Cake. Nice!

• /u/Kittybit8 must have been inspired by his recent appearance on the Noted podcast and decided to share his first flavor review for Inawera’s Black Cat for Pipe

• /u/Foment_life reviewed another obscure flavor, this time tackling FW Cherry Balsam Tobacco

• Annnd finally we have /u/Vapearound-ned who shared a UK-style PB&J recipe and, as is often the case when PB&J is brought up, someone linked to the mostly-defunct-but-still-interesting /r/GooberGrapeVape sub where some weirdos obsessed over creating a... Goober Grape that can be vaped.

 

Comment Highlights

• Besides being the master of cringe-worthy puns /u/ID10-T can also be found in the comments section of the Weekly SFT posts sharing a multitude of flavor notes on things like Guava and Rice/Horchata and Passionfruits. The theme of the SFT posts is brief notes and impressions rather than full reviews and /u/ID10-T has been nailing that theme and covering 41 flavors in just the last few weeks.

• /u/_zenith explained the chemistry involved in their answer to the question “How do nicotine salts maintain/increase blood absorption rate?”

• /u/EdibleMalfunction netted gold for his response to the 10,000th person to ask about speed steeping.

 

#Quick Tip > Suggest a recipe for my flavors: Most people just post their list of flavors and, more often than not, the list is relatively small. But one of the things people often forget to do is specify what they’re after. If you say you want a good authentic melon vape or a butterscotch custard then the people looking over your list of flavors trying to theorycraft a recipe for you can not only recommend something you can make now but something you might be one or two flavors short of making. It might just give you something to add to your wishlist.
