Convenient way to store flavors?
submitted about 6 years ago by altman63

I started out with 8 flavors just to make a couple of my favorite juices...I dont know how it turned into 60 flavors in a box along with a gallon of nic base on my dinning room table. Now, it's such a pain to find flavors that I'm looking for when I'm creating my own blends.

How does everyone store their flavors? I should probably label the tops of each bottle but the names get kinda long and I'd like to have the manufacturer visible too.

Yep, I got a 7-layer stand from ali-express for about 20eur I believe it was. Dimensions are around 30x35x40cm. Fits about 50-100 bottles depending on the size. I sort them in order of flavor profile so I know where everything's at. You could label the layers, but as you acquire more you will be moving stuff around. I just slide the whole thing into a cupboard when I'm not using it.

Usually I store my flavours in a little carry case thing that has different sections that you can take out, these sections have little compartments in them and I probably store about 100 different 10ml flavourings in there. I sort them in the 3 different sections based on their brand - flavour art at the top, TFA and CAP in the middle, and other brands in the bottom. I mainly use these for my 10ml bottles which is usually the flavourings I test, and I store my ‘favourite’ flavourings in larger bottles (30ml, 100ml) in my drawer. This works out pretty sweet for me, I can access flavourings pretty quickly as I just sorta remember exactly how I ordered them. I’m thinking of mixing my favourite recipes into ‘one shots’ so to speak, this would make it even easier for making recipes that you constantly have on rotation.

Go to micheals. They always have some great storage ideas for CHEAP. They are an arts and crafts store. They have a great selection of stuff to store paints, brushes, crafts, etc.

Well, I don't have the space to sort them on any type of racks, so they can stay out of the light. So, I have a big, opaque plastic box. I sorted them out on categories that make sense to me, and put all the flavorings on each category on a separate plastic bag, and I chuck them in the box. I haven't counted my flavorings lately, but I'm guessing it's around 200 bottles. When I mix I take out the bags and it's easier to find the flavoring I need within the bag of that category. When I'm done, back to their bags they go, and I store the box on its corner. It's not elegant, but it works for me in my 50m2 apartment.

I won a 5drawer toolchest from work. Top compartment is for all my everyday vape stuff. One drawer for juices, drawer for mixing supplies(concentrates, vg,pg, scale etc.) drawer for all my extra gear. Bottom compartment is where I keep my big bottles of vg,pg, nicotine.

I like it cause it keeps everything out of sunlight and is easy to find stuff. I'm working with 30 different concentrates so a desk drawer wasn't going to cut it anymore.

I use the plastic gallon tubs my Nicotine River Kit came in. I have flavors in bags grouped by use, brand, or type. I have a TFA cream bag, TFA bag, FLV, etc, and then a bag for just the flavors needed for my ADV.

I made a rack myself from cardboard boxes and painted it with a painting spray. Looks nice and it's marked and sorted by type (custards, creams, fruits, citruses, tobsccos, additives, etc.) and sorted by manufacturers in those brackets. So ie. Diyfs Holy Vanilla, TPA Vanilla Cupcake, TPA Vanilla Custard, CAP Vanilla Custard, etc. You get it

Everything is organized into bags by brand. If I have a lot of a brand, like TFA, I have a fruit bag, creams bag, and sweet/bakery bag. I also have a combo bag where I keep all of my additives and sweeteners regardless of brand. Finally I have a mixed brand bag for the few brands that I only have a couple flavors from. You can break each brand into smaller sub categories if needed but that general idea works for me.

10ml bottles fit right into lipstick racks, 30ml bottles fit nail polish racks. And all the racks are dirt cheap out of China via Ali express or the like.

I'd like to get those nail polish racks, but they a bit pricey.

I got these divider plastic baskets randomly at a dollar store in my area and they surprising fit my bottles perfectly. If I'm looking for something, I just pop one up till I find it.

I store them in a semi big plastic box container thingy. And inside are small ikea type plastic boxes just to keep things tidy.

IKEA Helmer, that is what all the cool gals used for their polish stashes. :) Why is no one talking about those?

I made tiny shelves for my 100 polishes though.

Flavourings just go in those plasticky drawer containers. Every type got their own drawer, or corner/row in a drawer. Can pick them up and store them away, and pick them up and put them down where I am mixing.

I think everybody needs to do/use what works for them. I went to Home Depot and there was a tool/bolt organizer. It's like a stand with about 25 drawers in it. I got one and can find what I want easily. I just put stickers on the drawers for labeling. I also have some cheap bins full of flavors I dont use often too. I have way more shit than I need. But I love sampling new flavors. Last I checked, my list said 488 but that was a few orders ago. I keep all my stuff in the basement where it's cool and dark.
