How can I get a Ramune flavor??
submitted about 6 years ago by zutari

I live in Japan and there is this really nice juice that Most vape shops have based on Ramune Soda.

I have no idea where to get started on making this and I would really appreciate some help.

Good flavors for the "soda" part:
FLV Citrus Soda / CAP Lemon Lime / VT Fizzy Sherbet

Good flavors for the Blueberry part:
FW Blueberry / TFA Blueberry Extra / VT Bilberry Ripe / FLV Boysenberry

Add some sweetener to make it candy-like.

Here is a recipe of a Blueberry Soda that me and /u/humanpuck did together: https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/152198#you_re_my_boy_blue_by_diy_discord

Here is my soda base, you can probably add any blueberry flavor on top of that to get something pretty good:

Amazing reply, Thank you. If I have the soda base, do I just but some flavor into it? I don't have to change the percentages right? for example I have FA Blueberry Wild. Would this work?

1.25%

(FLV) Citrus Soda

1%

(CAP) Lemon Lime

0.5%

(OTHR) WS-23

4%

(FA) Wild Blueberry

Yeah exactly. I'm not sure FA has a Wild Blueberry flavor though? I think you mean TFA Blueberry Wild?

I don't have any experience with that particular flavor, but just by looking at the avg % on ATF it sounds like a good start. You can always adjust the percentages depending on how prominent you want the "fizz" to be.

I do think you probably want some sweeter blueberry flavor, like TFA Blueberry Extra and/or FW Blueberry to make this as good as possible though.

Ramune is an old Japanese term for lemonade. Ra-mu-ne, le-mo-ne, le-mon-ade.

It just has a touch of lime flavor without giving it a bitter taste, then the carbonation changes the flavor quite a bit. But the catch is the flavor is obviously candy-like and meant to be artificial, even nearing bubblegum.

So I'd say go for lemonade, get either some lime or maybe some citrus mix, and then add cotton candy or other candy-making additives.

Thanks for your quick reply! These are the flavors I have. Will I have to get all new flavors? How do I replicate fizz?

I would like to know how to replicate that exact flavor, but I think almost no one here would have vaped it.

For fizz I recommend vt fizzy sherbet.

Maybe LA Lemonade with just a sniff of FA Lime Tahiti and a good amount of TFA Cotton candy. But there's probably some taffy or sherbet or something flavor out there that'll do things justice. I'm not into candies so this starts to enter a field I have no clue on.

Hi-Liq sells a Ramune flavor called Japanese Soda. If you don't mind the cooling agent that they added, the flavor is pretty spot on IMO.
