Any substitution for Bee Pollen?
submitted over 6 years ago by americanslang59

I'm trying to mix a juice and want a bee pollen flavor in it. No company makes a bee pollen concentrate from what I can see and I can't find this question asked through searching on here or google. Any decent substitutions or recommendations for a bee pollen flavor?

It's super candy like. Pretty sweet, kind of tart, and has a very very light floral taste. Texture is similar to Nerds candy. It's really fucking good and has a pretty intense flavor profile so I was surprised that there wasn't any concentrate.

Probably part Honey Bee and part honeysuckle.

I am interested in trying to find complex flavours like that as well. i.e Alcohol (Without any flavour) raisin, spice and bee pollen would be interesting too. you may want to look at Isolate Terpenes to create some sort of a "Bee pollen" Flavour.

Both reliable and quality sources of terpenes

What is 'spice'

INW - Shisha spice

INW - Hot chilli Spice.

And some other flavour manufacturer released a spice flavour. You know like getting a spice flavor to make like a spicy grilled peach e juice. or a spicy mango chutney.

Try FLV honey bee and Candy Roll. No clue how well candy roll with mesh but has that sweet powdery texture that could be fun with Honey Bee, wit Honey bee bring more like fresh honey from your beehive out back

You could probably use one of the various exceedingly floral honey flavors. CAP honey and FLV Honey Bee come to mind.

You’d maybe need something chalky. Sweet and tart with honey bee?

That could do it, unless you were aiming for something like pollen dissolved into tea where the chalk would be out of place

Bee pollen is kind of powdery. In a shake it’s just like a honey flavor with nutrients. Not sure a tea.

FA honey is supposed to be the least floral one out, isn't it?

Hmmmm. It's potent as all hell, so I'm probably just overusing it.

In Japan we have this Royal Jelly stuff. I wouldn't vape it but maybe it tastes like bee pollen

Why havent I heard about this being edible and delicious until now? Wtf. Just out of curiosity, how is it prepared? I'm sure it goes through some kind of processing, right?

So it's pretty expensive but a little goes a long way. I think it's just extracted from the hive and has very minimal processing. It's really awesome with citrus like OJ or lemonade. Specifically OJ mixed with ginger topped with some bee pollen is a god-tier beverage. I've also had cocktails and desserts that incorporated it.
