I like the premise. I've thought we could use a 'recipe workshop' recurring thread for the same exact purpose. Unfortunately i don't have anything in the "almost but not quite" phase of development atm.

I have something I just mixed as a 1-2-3 that's probably there, actually. INW Elderflower, JF Lemon, RFSC Sweet Tea (with cooling, of course) and it's pretty decent, but I can't claim it'd be anyone's ADV. So any ideas from anyone (other than maybe some vodka)?

How would you describe inw elderflower to someone who doesn't know wtf elderflower is, besides Angry Orchard's Elderflower Cider?

Honeysuckleish, mellow, minimal floral taste?

Edit: and no, I cannot contribute as of now. My taste buds and mixing knowledge are lacking

It's... A mild floral flavor. Sorta sweet (but not so sweet as honeysuckle) it's still distinctive... You recognize it if you're tasted it before (which often is in a hard cider, or St Gernaines.) Hard to describe the exact taste.

Actually, I think it's easier to describe Elderflower like this: it's not one if the 'dry' floral flavors like a tea, not one of the 'aftershave' florals like INW Raspberry Malina, more approachable like a TFA Honeysuckle/TFA Cherry Blossom/CAP Hibiscus. It strongly belongs to a beverage profile (apparently quite popular in the nordic countries, I believe, if memory serves) and typically amore of a 'strong accent' rather than centerpiece. Works really well with citrus. Easily a top 5 floral pick.

Standard for apple questions - FA Fuji. Mix it with other apples depending on the type of apple you want, but it's a workhorse. And you probably want FA Amber to cook the apples. Outside of that, I have no knowledge...baked goods and me vaping don't coexist peacefully.
