'What are you vaping?' Thread - Week of June 3, 2019
submitted over 6 years ago by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a

This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the June Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread

Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.

If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.

Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping! We keep an archive of all the past threads in our wiki as well

Happy Vaping!

Presently vaping on my dreamsicle but if tonight's experiments work out it'll be a chocolate almond croissant for the rest of the week.

Failing that I'm thinking I may be mixing up more of the pistachio/nougat croissant that /u/kittybit8 and /u/alfredpudding steered us toward Saturday night.

u/Foment_life I'm actually vaping that right now! The hangout-croissant that is... lack of a better name.

It really deserves a better name, it's unreasonably tasty

Dragonfruit with Creamy Rice

Vaping in the Nudge 22 at day 11/12. This stuff is awesome and will definitely be getting remixed. Sometimes think it's overflavored but the flavor does nose-dive a bit when chain vaping so it might be at the optimized level. But I can't help but wonder if dropping the dragonfruit and sweet rice to 4% each (20% reduction) would go unnoticed. 25mls in and it's almost ready for a rewick - suckback is getting darker. Can't really identify strawberry as a flavor component unless looking at the recipe but it adds a nice level of sweet. Nice full body. More on the wet side - not dry at all. After vaping INW dragonfruit for the first time yesterday in BEWD and noticing a creamy quality, I'm thinking INW dragonfruit might be a perfect fit for this flavor profile. Finished 30ml. Wicks decently clean.

Three things:

Pluot Clafoutis by /u/humanpuck

As far as I can tell, this is a nearly flawless recipe. I have no idea what a cooked pluot would taste like, as I’ve only ever eaten them fresh, but now I can imagine that I do. The Liquid Amber really does give the stone fruit a cooked vibe. It’s interesting the way the fruits come across as situated within the custard instead of just on top of it, but the Liquid Amber isn’t getting weird with it. There’s a lovely, thick vanilla custard that is reminiscent of the only kind of clafoutis I’ve tried, a peach one, and a light crust note that works. I didn’t really get a sprinkling of powdered sugar at first, but the more of it a vaped, the more it came out. This seems like an exemplary use of most of these ingredients, especially the Blood Plum. Maybe FLV Apricot could have emphasized the cookedness of the pluot better than FA’s, but it’s really hard to say without knowing what a cooked pluot tastes like, and it’s a bangin stone fruit custard recipe just the way it is.

Golden Snozzberry Custard by Blue Team

|Co.|Flavor|%| |:-|:-|:-| |INW|Yes, We Cheesecake|2| |CAP|Vanilla Custard|2| |FA|Meringue|1| |FLV|Milk & Honey|0.4| |INW|Cactus|0.75| |TPA|Strawberry Ripe|2| |JF|Sweet Strawberry|1| |FA|Fuji|0.5|

This is addictively delicious. It tastes like nothing I’ve ever tasted before, which makes it hard to describe. The cactus is identifiable, but mutated into something more like a prickly pear and less like a cactus paddle. It’s not soapy or floral or aloe-y or anything like that, it’s just fruity and natural yet unnatural at the same time, like something grown on another planet. It tastes like the green-yellow-red color of a mango if that color were a flavor, with some gently citrusy notes and a wet fruity bubblegum syrup body. All of that is situated, somehow, in a creamy silky custard, which, even without sweetener, has a sweet, sugary finish, like the alien making this custard did not skimp on the sugar or maybe forgot to brûlée a snozzberry crème brûlée. This is is the best tasting recipe I’ve tried so far this year. I’m dumbstruck by how this was accomplished. On paper, I thought it looked gross. Cactus and cheesecake? Cactus and Milk and Honey? Cactus and CAP Vanilla Custard, especially unsteeped Vanilla Custard? Yuck, yuck, and double yuck. Now I eat those words and I feel unqualified to speak competently about DIY juice recipe development in the face of this actually working.

And this Counter Punch that I'm about to make a post about:

Co. | Flavor | % ---|---|---- INW | Cherries | 4 INW | Pineapple | 4.5 CAP | Sweet Guava | 2.5 CAP | Yellow Peach | 1.5 FA | Armenia (Apricot) | 1.5 TFA | Smooth | 0.25 FW | Sweetener | 1

Mainly vaping my failed attempts at a chocolate/pistachio cake I've been working on for a while.

Also revisited some of my first recipies to see how they handled 1+ months of steeping and I'm glad they are both doing really well. Citraspberry Soda I was a bit afraid that it might fade, but it's still as good after such a long time. PistachiOMG is just incredible after 1 month, very proud of that one.

Can't wait to try Sunmist by my fellow orange enthusiast /u/ben_gaming

I guess I'm off to mix some PistachiOMG! Maybe I'll add a bit of WF Pistachio Cream to the mix.

by staybertover 6 years agoThe Soda Man

That could work although I would probably not advise it, seeing as TFA Pistachio at 8% is pushing that note to the limits almost. Try the normal one and let it steep for a while, it's insanely tasty :)

I was feeling pretty let down with DIY until I tried this recipe:

Boss Reserve Clone #RemixMonth

I vape it everyday and it's now the first recipe I have made again in large quantity.

Does anyone have any suggestions for similar recipes?

When I was getting into that one, I was getting into Milk & Honey at the same time. I think you should give it a try.

This something I threw together on whim, but for a line of flavors I am creating called "Alien Fruit." This one is Alien Fruit: Jupiter. I only altered it one time by bumping the honeydew up to 1.2 % from 1%. Funny thing is, this recipe, IMO, is so much better than recipes I've spent weeks and months in development.

The flavor profile is a practically a perfect trifecta and balance of honeydew, papaya, and dragonfruit. That dragonfruit adds such a juicy and smooth texture to the mix and in combo with the papaya, tames TFA honeydew. I find it refreshingly delicious, especially with the addition of coolant, but it is't necessary.

Co. | Flavor | % :--|:--:|--: FW | Natural Papaya| 5 TFA | Honeydew | 1.2 Inw | Dragonfruit | 1.5 Inw | Cactus | 0.5 TFA | Koolada | 0.5

If one does decide to make this, pleassssse give me some feedback. I would appreciate beyond all belief because I want to improve anything there is to improve which in return makes me a better mixer in the end.

And oldie but a goodie. Cajolery which is my Seduction Clone that uses the original INW Lemon. Delicious. And a bunch of chocolates. Stay tuned for that one.

I've been hooked on a coconut melon strawberry recipe for the last few months. Since I started vaping 4 years ago, this is the only recipe that I've completely gotten addicted to.

Co | Flavor| % ---|---|---- FA | Juicy Strawberry|2 FA | cantalope | 2 FLV | Sweet coconut| 1 FLV|Wild Melon|3

EDIT: FLV instead of FLA

I being lazy this week so I'm vaping Chefs Flavours Tobacco Crunch and Mexican Fried Ice Cream one shots and they're both exceptional.

I just mixed some tobacco crunch up for the first time a couple days ago. How long do you let it steep?

1 points

by N3moHoesover 6 years ago

The 1st batch mixed @22% I let steep for 2 weeks. This batch I'm using now I mixed @25% because I purchased 100ml of concentrate and only steeped it for 3 days and it's just as good if not better.

Vaping on the fruity cereal mix I posted in the monthly thread and the first iteration of a clone I'm working on of a retired liquid company. "Apache Line" by Ohmageddon is a butterscotch Angelfood cake with a creme de menth finish. It's like nothing I've ever had but addictingly tasty! My first attempt is : WF Angel Cake @ 2% WF Butterscotch Cream Pie @ 2.5% FW Butterscotch Ripple @ 1% CAP Cake Batter @ 1% FW Creme De Menthe @ 1.5% So far it's actually good but not quite accurate!
