Week XIII

(Ableit a day late) it's still an ongoing, burning question: Did you try any single-flavor concentrates the past 7-8 days?? If so, what kind of results did you experience?

It doesn't matter if it's been reviewed thrice, used for years and in hundreds of recipes. The fact remains that a single flavor can seem quite different to each of us. Hopefully it's not because of any re-formulation that's transpired of late! Maybe you tasted something no one else picked up on when vaping it? Maybe it's nowhere close to what it is supposed to be yet it tastes darn good?

No need to get too detailed, if that's too much trouble. Just let us know how you felt about what you'd tried. It can be a "yuck", "blah", "meh", "yummy" or "amazin' delish" or on a number scale of some kind. You can admit to any off-notes or any outstanding benefits. Heck, you can even mention if it gives you heart-burn.
VT Fizzy Sherbet is a pretty good standalone even as low as 2%. Citrusy, tart, sweet, solid mouthfeel, no or minimal harshness or off notes I can detect. I can't really taste any "fizziness" to it per se, though I can smell it.
Vta yogurt drink is really good at 6%
How would you describe it? Creamy and lemon'y?
I think someone had previously mentioned a yogurt drink too. Might be the same stuff... guess I'll read back at some point to double-check to see if it's the same vendor.
EDIT: Yes, exact same flavor mentioned by another. So it must be pretty good.
FLV Wild Melon. Tested at 1%. Has a great honeydew, not-exactly-melon-but-different-twist to it. Clean and unique. I can see how this is used in a lot of melon recipes as a background flavor, but it's got a full body to it that I can see running as a single flavor at 2% in a RTA. I'd like to buddy this up with another melon and see how I can work it's unique flavor.
INW Grapefruit. Loving this. I have FLV Pink Guava and love that, but it's like 40% grapefruit to me due to more of the rind. This has a strong grapefruit flavor, crisp and sweet, but doesn't have a strong fleshy sourness. It's not completely sweet like a ruby red, but not sour like a white grapefruit--nice and balanced. Has good body throughout. Has a slight throat hit. Reminds me a lot of one of my favorite commercial juices, Skwezed Grapefruit. I know FLV PG doesn't mix well, so I'm thinking of mixing INW G as the main body with some tropical accents of mango and pineapple, maybe dragonfruit. It gets me thinking, that's good.
Yes, it's wonderful when something ignites the ol' brain cells. :) And the grapefruit sounds very good.
YES! I'm just throwing around ideas like INW Grapefruit with FW Blood Orange with a twist of TFA Sweet Pineapple and FLV Mango with maybe some FA Fuji, then see about a touch of TFA Dragonfruit. Just like, I wanna do so much with it! :D
> INW Grapefruit. Loving this.
I think it's awesome. Their White Grapefruit makes me think of cat piss.. Yuck.
Oh man... I love white grapefruit. It is like concentrated rind. It's skunky and bitter and nasty and insanely floral. It's like chewing on the rind you cut off but accidentally went a little too deep and got a little of the flesh... With a few grains of sugar. I probably wouldn't use it solo but it is super fun to mix with.
VT Banana Custard and TPA Banana Nut bread. Didn’t take enough notes to do a full review, but both flavors are very good.
VT Banana Custard is much more Banana than Custard. Has to be cranked up fairly high to get a good custard flavor. The banana in it is fairly authentic and very tasty though.
TPA Banana Nut Bread is very true to its name. Not much to say other than it is pretty much spot on Banana Nut bread.
How much % at TFA? And steep time? Ty
I mixed some of this:

Tasted fine after a week, after two weeks the banana nut flavor was completely gone. I can't find any info about TFA banana nut bread fading so fast so I'm not sure if I have a bad batch or not. Or if I need to wait another two weeks for the banana to return.
Tried e-cooler fw again. Enjoyed it. Kind of a orange citrus type flavor. Supposed to emulate the ecto cooler hi c juice flavor. Can’t remember what the hi c drink taste like but e cooler was a refreshing for a summer vape
I couldn't find a Flavor West e-cooler concentrate. Were you referring to their Ecto-Cooler?
I just got Mascarpone Cream Cheese (SC) (WF) and I really dig it as a single flavor.
Been eyeballing that one. Wondering if you could use to really push the cheesecake profile.
That's why I got it too, but I haven't found any great recipes for it yet so I decided to single flavor test it and I liked it.
I randomly threw some unmeasured FW Blue Ice into my bottle of unflavored last week. I was extremely disappointed that I seem to have nailed the right amount by doing that :) Now I have to go through a bunch of exercises to find out what percentage it was if I want a repeat performance. Bummer

It was a light, tangy blue raspberry with a hint of cool. It got a little harsh if I cranked the wattage up too high as my wicks degraded. Siren 2, Japanese cotton wick, 1.25ohm single coil and right around 9W for most of it. (I know, I'm weird)

I threw in like a squirt (squoze the bottle enough that it wasn't drops that went in but a stream) to about 60-ish ml.
It's easy to tinker like that. Sometimes I'll take certain stand alone flavors to drip onto an RDA's wick and coil... to see how it combines together.
FLV Root Beer. Mixed some up at 2% yesterday. I'm disappointed right now because I built it up in my head to be the end all. It tastes like those cheap rootbeer candies that look like a barrel but worse. The cheap sweet taste is overbearing. The mouth feel is dry and too round if that makes any sense. I'll have to give it a fair chance at different percentages and steeps. I really wanted a deep, bitey concentrate with the wintergreen to build off of but I'll keep playing. End rant.
> It tastes like those cheap rootbeer candies
I hate those, always have. I got CAP Rootbeer and that's what it tasted like. I also got FW but didn't even taste it. I just guessed it would be more of the same. I was planning on revisiting them but this time really low percentages with added ice cream.
