INW Cactus quuestion
submitted over 6 years ago by isaacgar12345

I just whipped up a batch of cacus at 3%, it smells a lot like the snake oil clone with Bavarian cream has anyone tried both and have any input? That snake oil was my favorite for a long time. Also I made it with only PG does anyone know if that changes the steep time?

Let's forgot about clones, drones and overpriced iPhones or cacti for that matter. You say 100% PG?

I'm waiting for my VG and thought I could pre-steep

Cool deal. I just didn't want you to suffer any pain.

I read that it isn't as bad as ppl say and I'm not putting in nic so throat hit should be manageable. I was just wondering bc I had an old bottle of snake oil that was too old to vape and comparing the smells, they were very similar.

I haven't tried snake oil but cactus INW tastes like vitamin C filled drinks with some aloe vera hair oil ish quality which is not a bad thing per say but I can't see bavarian cream TFA or CAP fitting any where close TBH. Furthermore from my experience the overall flavour even after 2 weeks of steeping doesn't change alot but rather chills and lays down (not meaning it gets muted it just eases)

Inw Cactus just tastes revolting to me even at less than 1%. Tastes like washing up liquid.

Cactus is too strong at 1%, try a lower percentage

Unless that's your main flavor profile. Grack iirc has it at 2.5 %

Anyone else found that Grack Juice is only good in the first week of mixing? I can only vape it when it’s freshly mixed, after that it begins to taste off to me. (Heisenberg is the same for me here.)

I was completely the opposite. I couldn't stand grack the first two weeks. Honestly couldn't understand why it was so popular. I just put some in my squonk that is about two months old and I'm loving it now. Different strokes I guess...

Theres a number of things about grack that are offputting. That's why GIGI exists.

And it isn't the cactus. I've done other cactus-centric mixes with 2-3% cactus. The trick.is in mixing it with complementary flavors. Grack/GIGI its the purple flavor it plays off, in others FA Blackcurrant works with it. Or FLV Yakima Hops, or... But yeah, if cactus isnt gonna have a lading role, .5% is maybe a little high.

3% is decent for a solo-mix.

It's been like a year since I mixed myself but... iirc, it's a great flavor. Never did solo but mixed with say passionfruit with cactus being the lighter partner is a heavenly experience.
