Backstory : Ok I have been vaping 5-6 years making my own juice for that long as well. (I think I bought for 3 months idk) I have always used wizard labs for flavoring and nic. I have noticed the flavors are not always the same. Strawberry ripe was what got me thinking, I noticed the one wasn't the same as the other. (made 1k ml bottle) The flavoring content was 14 but had to bump it to 16 to get the same taste.) 16% of the 15% flavoring content. So a percent of a percent.) Well low and behold I just ran dry on flavors and am vaping some disgusting juice. (only flavors left were orange cream, honey, vanilla custard, gram cracker crust.. Hoping for a orange custard pie because that's all I had) I smelled the orange and tbh I didn't combine the flavors with my other bottle that has 10ml in it. They smell different even though same company, bought it at the same. This one tastes like shit. Does this happen with other places? Anyone else have this happen?
Since I posted anyone have a good lead on some super sweet sweetener? Never used it and want to make that change
Just checking... You always buy from the same vendor, but is it always the same brands? Or do you just go by flavor name? (I ask bcause it seems insane that you would mix TFA SR at 15+%.)
Same brand. 946ml *.16= 123ml I leave 123ml to include everything but pg/vg. so 16% includes all vg and nic. (Nic has a taste so I include it in the recipe.)
Percentage only includes flavor. How much flavor are you using?
TFA changed the recipe to strawberry ripe a few months back!
Wait what? Other flavors smell and taste differently? Yes and they are supposed to do so? No one here can tell you if your flavor has gone bad but it could very well be the case, especially if over a year old.
The two orange cream were the same brand and purchased at the same time. Same exact thing from the same vendor bought at the same time. Maybe it's a fluke? The strawberry ripe's we're close one was a touch stronger. The strawberry isn't what I based it on because tbh I may have been off a few ml and not noticed but the orange cream... Very off. I looked back it's been 8 months since I bought it so that could be it. Just odd if it was that, went bad and the other didn't. Things like that happen I guess, I just never had one go bad before. Normally I burn through all the flavors in a few months. Going to put an order in.i didn't see anyone say they had issues with wizard on here reciently.
Now I get what you meant, sorry, english is not my native language. Here could be the reason for the change in strawberry ripe, TFA actually had to ~~reformulate it~~ change the manufacturer which could impart it at least a bit. Not sure about the orange cream, but depending on how long the different bottles have been stored at the vendor, opened by you and a lot of other factors could decide wheter or not one of them goes bad. I'm getting all my flavors at chefs so I can't comment on wizardlabs.
On avg 12-17. One recipe I have was @ 22% and it's 15 flavors. Another is 2 and it's 12. The 22% is one my mechanic gave me and it's pretty good. I think it's as heavy as it is because it's a 7 year old recipe and truth be told after joining this sub makes me wonder if I should restructure it just on the fact flavors have improved 100 fold since then. (Basically since everyone is using 1/2 that I should switch up to better flavors or better quality)
I used actual LA and tbh, I could have used 1% it was that strong. I only have maybe 6 recipes 2 of which I made myself. Strawberry sugar cookies Coffee and tobacco. (Due to reciently done studies I won't be doing that anymore, tobacco, menthol, Cinnamon all increase heart damage. Do I believe it? Not really but I'm not a Dr and I don't stay at the Holiday inn Express)
Why I wondered if WL dilutes the flavoring. (So that's why strawberry tasted odd, changed it)
Freaks me out more is reading how many people go 50/50 and 70/30. I have been doing 90/10 in my smok 4, 8, falcon, meshpro tanks. IDK when I started that, probably when I dropped to less the 1% nic.
I'm so use to doing it this way I feel I have veered off the pavement and off a cliff. Gonna go back to my roots I guess.
I have never used salts ever.. The store I hit up wanted me to try it out. If you make one with and one with no nic you can taste a mild difference. I made me and the wife juice, she sits at 3% I use less then 1%. (more like 1/2 %) I noticed it dulled my custard and sweet cream out. I was told (and I don't buy juice off them) to give the salts a try as it don't (as he puts it) strangle the low and mellow flavors.
Other then that idk shit about salts. Some I noticed it "altered" Cotton candy (?) don't remember whos DX sweet cream vanilla custard (didn't taste as good as it did in mine and it was same batch, like it lost vanilla)
The only thing I do that idk if it does anything but I steep it in a hot bath for a few hours.
I don't use much subtle flavors so maybe I'm just crazy or something but the guy I talked to said the same thing.
(we were talking about vaping and riding. I wear a brain bucket but wanted to use a cheap mod in case I drop it and the highway. You didn't need to know that lol)
Holy hell. Dude. 15% is way too high
