Everyone on here has put so much into this community! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I stumbled upon this sub through another one on ECR at a time when I was getting SO FED UP with how sweet every juice at the stores can be, and the gigantic selection of bottles with the same crappy flavors. My coils were lasting only a few days. I never really had “vape tongue,” but I would get so bored with a flavor after a few days to a week; and the cost of 10-30ml bottles was adding up!
So yeah, thank you for taking the time to share your efforts with the class! I FINALLY have a Snapple Peach Tea, a watermelon, an orange sherbet, an all-the-fruits cheesecake, a fig, a peachy cobbler, and even a vanilla latte tobacco (we call it Morning Coffee On the Porch) for when my husband is drunk and wants to steal my vape! (He doesn’t smoke/vape much at all, otherwise.) And I have a few cereals, too!
And none of the flavors I don’t like; which is honestly my favorite part. I was so sick of vape shop guys saying, “oh, yeah, this cereal flavor doesn’t have milk,” and $20 later it tasted like nasty burnt milk. Or not finding things I like because “we don’t carry that cuz no one makes it cuz no one would ever buy it.” Or getting home and one of my bottles was full of bad nic!! Or worse; waiting two weeks for an order to arrive with bad nic, and the company blaming it on me and refusing a return!
And now I have oodles of 15-60ml bottles I mix up in my dining room, and my coils last forever!! I have my salts for my pod, and a big ol’ jug of high vg for my box mod when I want to cloud the house like a speak easy! (Which was handy during a music video shoot, and our fog machine broke!)
So if you’re reading this as someone who has just found, or lurks this sub; DO IT! It’s cheaper. It’s easy. And even though you’ll see tons of recipes on here with 6+ flavors, you can make amazing things with 1-4. Many recipes are 1000% vapeable as soon as you shake them up. You can have everything you need right in front of you anytime you change vape mods. I’ll make my base vg/pg and nic, then just go to town adding flavors to 5-10 bottles at a time.
Just don’t forget to get some kind of labels...haha
And now I have a friend who makes their own after he ran out at a party, used some of mine, and was amazed that I made something so good at home. We pool our orders together; saving even more money.
Anyway. If you’ve made it this far into my ramblings, eternal thanks to the regular contributors on here that have made my life so much better. I plan on giving back soon!
+1 to the hell yeah comment, welcome to the party. I'm surprised you're rocking solid mixes so early on, which is rad to hear. My first six months of mixing was so discouraging, I almost stopped. So glad I didn't.
And then someday, you'll get bored with mixing basic recipes and you'll dive into the rabbit hole of doing stupid shit just to see if it works. My attempt at a juniper, pine, pear mix is still in the works, only to see if I can do it.
Juniper pine pear...now I want a glass of gin!! If it works, please share!
I was surprised at my first mixes, too, but I think part of that was me reading the single flavor reviews to get an idea of where things were good to begin with, what other people did wrong, and how flavors interact. Starting simple helps, too. I also work in the beer industry, so already I have a solid understanding of how small changes can have a large impact.
Overall, though, this sub was like having a Game Genie for mixing. haha
Awesome! It's amazing how much better it is, and really how easy.
I feel really lucky that when I walked into a vape shop to buy my first device, knowing absolutely nothing and no one who vaped at all, the man told me to learn to mix ejuice asap because it is so much ridiculously cheaper! I found out later that he was the shop owner's son who was just filling in. Lol!
Even when I feel like I've wasted money mixing "mistakes" or buying flavors that I don't like or not using up all my millions of tests or deciding to toss/recycle old used plastic bottles, if I stop for a minute and really tally, it's still far cheaper.
Would you mind sharing some of your recipes? I’ve started diy and would love to try some of those flavors you mentioned.
Sure! I’m Cheeseception on e-liquid-recipes. If I get a chance to get on the computer today, I’ll post them on here, too. Some of them I haven’t posted yet because I didn’t write them down. I’ll try and remember to do it later.

Finally getting to taste what actual "premium" ejuice is like is dope. Living the high life with everything catered for yourself. Keep having a blast!!
DIY is pretty awesome isn't it? Care to share that Snapple Peach Tea and Vanilla Latte Tobacco recipes? Those sound like something I'd like.
