'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of May 17, 2019
submitted over 6 years ago by AutoModeratorBootylicious

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! Don't forget to include manufacturers' names for all of your concentrates, and make your list easier to read by using bullet points or at least listing each of your flavors on a new line by hitting return twice after each flavor.

There are also a few resources in the sidebar where you can register a free account, input your flavors, sort by rating, and either mix something up or be inspired to make something with your ingredients.

Happy Mixing!

1% FA Lemon Sicily
2% INW cactus
3% Tfa cherry extract (if tfa has a cherry extract and a plain cherry, don't bother... But i haven't seen it,sl...) Add cooling to taste. You want it cold. And steep for a day, but don't let it sit too long.

Thanks! Yeah the Cherry I picked up was marketed on NicRiver as just TFA Cherry, I assume it's Cherry Extract, haven't been able to find mention of it anywhere else.

Oh, and since you've got several of the flavors already, get some INW Lemon Mix and FLV boysenberry, and the others you need for GIGI.

Loving DIYorDie's Blueberry Custard:

4.5% FA Blueberry

5% CAP Vanilla Custard

0.5% CAP SS

At first shake there's a strong blueberry top note, but after a two week steep the blueberry subsides and everything balances out.

Hi everyone, looking for strong recipes with different tobaccos, and a decent Coffee recipe, but all the ideas are welcome cause currently im a little stuck in my DIY.

I'm left with this batch of flavors, but I'll be buying more next week, so if you notice that I need more material for boosting the recipe, I'll gladly include it in my next order.

I don't see any flavors here that could be used to make a decent coffee vape but try this:

  • 2% Native Tobacco
  • 1% Kentucky Blend
  • 4% TFA RY4 Double

There's you a nice caramel tobacco base that'll be great with any two of the following accents, just pick two that sound best to you:

  • 1% Red Oak
  • 0.25% Brown Sugar
  • 4% Pistachio
  • 1% Dulce De Leche
  • 1% Graham Cracker Clear
  • 1% Toasted Marshmallow
  • 0.25% Coconut Extra

Thanks pal! I recently made this:

  • 6% TFA RY4 Double
  • 1% Native Tobacco
  • 1% Kentucky Blend
  • 0.5% Red Oak
  • 0.1% Smoke

It's ageing well, as in the first week you could already notice the flavors of the Native and Kentucky, with subtle notes of smoked wood coming from below. I'll wait another week to let it rest and post in the sub the results.

As for the Coffee recipe, could you suggest some good mixes to give a try?

Thanks again for all the advices!

Edit: your Mother of Dragons milk is an ADV for me and my friends, great recipes man!

Thanks!

Honestly I haven’t tried or even seen a coffee recipe that I’d strongly recommend. I’ve tried some promising single flavors but not wanted a coffee vape bad enough to create a recipe out of them. Do you want straight up coffee? That’s harder but pick up VT Arabica Coffee, DIY Flavor Shack Cafe Coffee, or WF Brazilian Coffee.

If you don’t mind a lot of cream and caramel in your coffee, try VT Caffe Latte (Cream), WF Smooth Cappuccino Cream (Cream and lots of caramel) or DIY Flavor Shack Cafe Napoleon (Caramel) or Creme de Cafe (Vanilla Cream).

If you wan a decent coffee vape, you need Stixx Mixx Kona. Find your preferred strength aith that, then consider adding some FLV Bourbon and VT Blurbon.

Also, look up the recipe Coffee in the Shade. Get the flavors you need for that. Its a tobacco/coffee vape.

I got some new flavors in that I'm not sure why I picked (drunk order), if anyone has some insight on what would go well with them, or even just solo mixing them:

TFA Vanilla Swirl (I heard about adding this as a background to candy?)

WF Chews Candy

WF Sour Ball Candy (even at 1%, it seems to dull most flavors it's mixed with)

CAP Green Apple Hard Candy

FLV Blood Orange

FA Mango

VT Boysenberry

FLV Grape

I'm really not sure why I bought all these flavors. If it was for recipes, I didn't save them anywhere, and if it was because of average reviews, then please help me. I have probably 50 other various flavors, so hopefully I have something that can work well.

1 points

by juthincover 6 years ago

FPV grape could work well in a purple lemonade. (I hear it is pretty close to INW grapes)

I p obably should've got vt boysenberry, but i dont think it was stocked where i was ordering vt flavors. But again, in a lemonade, or maybe with some gin and lime... Maybe with some Fizzy Sherbet and FA Fuji for a fruity cider?

Not sure why anyne would order FA mango (or any mango) so no help there, maybe /u/ID19-T could help.

FLV Blood Orange could be nice, never tried it tho...

And yeah... Only use two or three candy bases, no clue about those.

Can anyone suggest a good recipe that uses Cinnamon Danish Swirl (Cap) using these ingredients from my stash? I'm hoping for something along the lines of an apple Fritter or a cinnamon roll with some kind of fruits or nuts. But I'm up to try anything as long as it's good.

When I have Fuji, I always make (a version of) Apple Butter from the 2016 DIYorDIE competition

Apple Buttah

Butter Cream (CAP) 2.00%

Caramel (Caramello) (FA)0.50% I usually just use Caramel Candy, or sometimes Caramel (Original)

Cinnamon Danish Swirl (CAP)0.50%

Fuji Apple (FA)4.00%

 Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA)1.00%

Vanilla Bourbon (FA)0.50% This is a sub for Liquid Amber in the original

 Vanilla Custard (CAP)1.00%

1 points

by urs1neover 6 years ago

Is there anything I could sub for vanilla bourbon? I have Kentucky bourbon and vanilla swirl?

1 points

by Labubsover 6 years ago

Yeah, the Van. Bourbon is actually a sub from the original itself, I was going for that 'dark vanilla' note with what I had at the time...I would say definitely mostly Vanilla Swirl, maybe 1/2 Van Swirl and 1/2 Toasted marshmallow with a few drops of Bourbon(you don't really want a liquor taste, just a...I wish I had a better word than darker, maybe thicker? Dessert-like Vanilla. In fact, I think the last time I made this, I didn't have Van. Bourbon left and did the Toasted Marshmallow thing.

You can definitely play around in that slot as it's a background note anyway (though on the DIYorDIE page, Wayne stresses Liquid Amber as being important overall, and as the creator his is probably the 'best' version, but I've absolutely loved every bottle I've made, even with subbing the Liquid Amber), so any vanilla type that's dark, thick, and creamy should work out pretty good. Just keep the whole idea of Apple Butter in your head when deciding on the substitutions, you have all the major players, it should still turn out pretty good! Oh yeah, I'd say probably 7-10 day steep, just to let the fruit, cinnamon, and vanilla cream meld together into one flavor rather than tasting like a bunch of flavors just stacked on top of each other.

Edit- looked at your list again, I'd bet a few drops of Brown Sugar couldn't hurt either! Like I said, just think cinnamon apple butter while mixing, you'll still end up with something pretty damn good!

TFA SB

TFA Key Lime

TFA Tahiti ColD Pressed Lime

I always get these flavors hoping to recreate a ADK Placid type flavor but it just never works out. Tried many clone recipes and its always off. I've pretty much given up. ONE TIME when i first started mixing that i almost nailed it. But lost the recipe and i've never been the same :(

I rarely add sweetener (occasionally I'll add stevia to a mix, depending) but so many people seem to love the overly sweet juices i just throw that disflaimer in...

by Keroseneslickbackover 6 years ago

I really want to throw some fruit at CAP Vanilla Custard and CAP NY Cheesecake. I'm loving DIYorDie's simple Blueberry Custard (FA Blueberry+CAP VC), so any other recipes that's pretty simple fruit additions to these two flavors? Kinda hunting for rations too.

Flavors I'd like to use:

CAP Sweet Mango

FA Lemon Sicily

TFA Blackberry

TFA Black Cherry

TFA Peach Juicy

TFA Pineapple Juicy

TFA Raspberry Sweet

FW Blood Orange

FW Blueberry (already used)

INW Lemon (mistake)

I've got additives and some other flavors that would pair well for background stuff, but I'm looking for a recommended fruit top-note.

Thanks ya'll!

hi, so ive been mixing for a little while and ive made a few consistent recipes based on these flavours. ive hit a creative block and struggling to make anything new. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Pineapple (TFA)

Peach (juicy) (TFA

Apple (TFA)

Cherry (TFA)

Watermelon (TFA)

Coconut (TFA)

Raspberry (Sweet) (TFA)

Lemon Sicily (TFA)

Pear (CAP)

Juicy Lemon (CAP)

Double Watermelon (CAP)

Sweet Guave (CAP)

Dragonfruit (TFA)

Lemon sicily (FA)

Cactus (INW)

Ripe Strawberry (TFA)

Honeysuckle (TFA)

Pear (TFA)

Plum (INW)

Wild Melon (FLV)

Koolada 10% (TFA)

I really like sweet candy-like juice so anything along those lines would be perfect! Also, any help on what to order next would be amazing, I'm open to any new types of juices so any suggestions would be great :)

1 points

by juthincover 6 years ago

1-2% honeysuckle can make candy of many fruits. I'd suggest trying it with the cherry or plum. Maybe the lemons.

Or you could try 1.75% each honeysuckle and cactus with a good strong lemon. I had good results with 3% JF lemon, not sure which of yours gets closest without consulting my notes...

My very first order is arriving today, welcoming suggestions on how to mix up my first inventory! As a first time mixer, Im sure you can understand I am eager to taste, so SnV preferred but open to all suggestions.

Bavarian Cream
Strawberry Ripe
Sweetener
FA

Not much good there, the lemons are okay (but better are available) but nothing that really goes with lemon. About the best mix i can see is 3% CAP NYCC with 1.5% FA almond.

Hi guys this are the list of my flavors they are all pure concentrated, quitly they're Gourmet Flavors here in PH: BISCUIT, CARAMEL v2, RY4 DOUBLE, JUICY STRAWBERRY, CHEESE CAKE, LYCHEE, YAKOOLT v3 (PH cons), SUPER SWEETENER, REGULAR SWEETENER, NICOTINE 100mg pg bsd, PEANUT ,

I would like to try a nutty ry4 simple recipe @6mg rate but im quiet bothered to mess things up.

I would also like to try a simple cheesecake recipe!

I would also try lychee + yakoolt recipe

Also the juice strawberry kinda, want to mix it but kinda dont know..

I would like to reach some help from you guys, im trying ph cons and idk some instruct or concepts maybe, a recipe or what but anything that could help would be much apreciated thank you guys !!!

1 points

Those flavo names look like a odd mix of TFA and CAP.....

If so, cheesecake goes in the garbage,, as does lychee (TFA mames those particular monstrosities).

You could maybe do some SFTs and determine if the names are merely unfortunately similar to the ones they look like.

I have the following flavours:

TFA Frosted Donut

TFA Vanilla Swirl

FW Cheesecake

TFA Peach (Juicy)

I also have PG, VG and Nicotine in both salt and freebase types.

I kind of just ordered stuff that sounded nice before I did any research , stupid I know but I was already putting through an order for commercial juice and bought this stuff on a whim while I was going.

Any ideas of ratios that I could use of the above flavors to create something that is vapable?
