Hypothetical Question: The laws have changed and only 2 flavor companies can exist
submitted over 6 years ago by urs1ne

Everyone gets to vote on who stays and who goes. You get 2 votes for the companies you want to remain and you get 1 vote for a company that should be gone.

Which 2 do you vote to keep and which 1 do you vote to go? Why?

  • I meant to say flavor brands (Cap, TFA, INW, etc)

I'm going to keep FLV and TFA. I'll be sad to see CAP, VT, and all the others go, but I can make it work with just those two.

Who do I vote to go? INW can fuck off and die with their surprise reformulations (ruinings) of flavors, not even telling anybody just sending out new formulations with the same name like nothing happened. Look, I love Shisha Strawberry, Cactus, and the other greats, too, but that's some bullshit.

Why didn't I vote FANA to go? Because that's not a whole actual flavor company, it's just one part of Flavour Art.

But.. but... Black for Pipe. Dark for Pipe. Cactus. Grapes. Cherries. AM4A. Tobacco Symphony. Marzipan. Elderflower. Shisha Raspberry. Lemon Mix. And they supposedly have WS-23, and only VT carries that otherwise.

Which one of those will they ruin next? (and not add V2 to the name or give anyone a heads up that they've changed them, just send them out and hope no one notices)

Well, as I understand it, the reason for the mass reformulation was because the companies they sourced flavorings from didn't all complete the paperwork they needed when TPA kicked in, so unless there are more stupid laws brought in in Poland (er, ok, so... make that until more stupid laws affecting vaping are brought in in Poland, this is Poland we're talking about after all) there shouldn't be any more reformulations.

But they might just drop a few flavors if they don't get enough commercial use [cough] waffle [cough]. But still...

Kind of lends to the fact that versioning might be a good idea... assuming companies would use it to alert us to changed formulas. Guessing they won't make that any kind of priority until they notice a huge drop in sales.

I'd curl up and die without FLV Rich Cinnamon so Flavorah has to stay even if for just that.

I'd be fine with Flavor Art going away, nothing I can't replace and they don't strike me as a great company in general.

Yeah, they sure killed a lot of people with all that money spent working with Nicopure and Right to Be Smoke Free on the Lawsuit against the FDA.(Pre-juul stock aquisition by the way)

I vote to keep CAP and TFA, because they seem to have a broad selection of product and they are popular. I have no vote for any to go (I guess I just haven't found a company so bad...).

I live in Canada. I have four suppliers here I can order from, and one in Arizona (actually the first supplier I ordered from) and they all carry CAP and TFA, but not all carry all other brands. Why is that?

Price.

The cost to canadian suppliers is such that the price they have to charge is usually significantly more for other flavors, and even though usually CAP has the highest cost per recipe (many flavors need to be used at double, triple, etc the amounts of INW or FLV or FA) the cost per ml of concentrate tends to worry them, so they only carry what they've gotten multiple requests for, so they know they can move the product and not be stuck clearing it out a year later.

I'm also a hoser and order from ecigexpress. I ain't paying $5 for 10ml for anything that won't get me high af.

Inawera and Flavorah. Flavor West can go. And take DIYFS with them.

>DIYFS

I can't break the habit of reading this as 'Do It Your F***ing Self', rather than 'DIY Flavor Shack'

CAP and FLV.

FLV is really hard to give up... despite not grabbing a bottle most of the time. Just so fucking perfect. CAP just has most of my main star flavors. TFA would challenge CAP, but typically the flavors are "just good enough" to match CAP, but never above it.

Cap Juicy Peach and Double Watermelon is always my go to simple recipe. They blend together really well.

I'll take Nicotine River and BullCity Flavors to keep. Nothing but excellence from them.

Oh okay...

Capella and Inawera for their consistency of great mixes, I have no opinion on who should go out of business. I love TPA also.

I don't think I'd label their flavors as "consistent"

TFA and FE/SC so I have some great tobacco options

Oof FA forever, can't live wout my forest fruit. I'm having an existential crisis here, I can't choose between TFA and INW. Can we have corporate mergers in this fantasy? That INW peach, pear, and biscuit tho, can't be touched by anything else I've tried.

Lorann can go. They're pretty basic and I don't have a single flavor by them.

Cap and FA would have to be the 2. I could vape happy the rest of my life. Maybe TFA can sneak some flavours past the law tho, I'd miss a few.

INW and FLV. I could made do with those two I think. I definitely need INW. I could sub in CAP or TPA for FLV though as they have a huge assortment of decent to really good flavors vs FLV's, in comparison, small range.

Probably have to say TFA and CAP. I'd be sore for not having INW Biscuit... yet would make do. I'd hate to miss out on getting to try some RF-SC and VT flavors.
