This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the April Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread
Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.
If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.
Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping! We keep an archive of all the past threads in our wiki as well
Happy Vaping!
So, I've vaped or been vaping a dozen recipes since last week. I'll just post links to them in reverse order of personal enjoyment, followed by the review I left for them on ATF to help you decide whether you want to click the link:
- A refreshing berry and grape mix? I was interested in trying this to see if someone had figured out away to make that otherwise kinda gross TFA Berry Mix work really well. This icy mix doesn’t do it. It delivers the refreshment, berry, and grape that was promised and is a heck of a lot better than Berry Mix by itself, but doesn’t quite mitigate that off note in Berry Mix that reminds me of cold sore medicine. This tastes like it would be great, or at least better, with literally any other mixed berry in place of that TFA stuff - WF Bumbleberry, FA/JF/VT “Forest” berries, FLV Berry Blend. Even CAP Harvest Berry would probably be an big improvement.
- I don’t know that it screams boysenberry in particular, but it is a mostly pleasant dark berry crumble. However, the berry is just a bit buried under all that crumble, and rather than a bunch of sweet gooey berry, I’m getting a ton of dry-yet-buttery INW Biscuit. I wouldn’t mind trying this again, but I’d probably adjust it a bit, maybe cut the Biscuit in half and push the Boysenberry up to 3%.
- This is aptly named, the way the boysenberry interacts with the strawberry really is interesting and without having mixed it up myself I wouldn’t have known what was going on there. It’s still a strawberry, but it’s a mysteriously interesting strawberry, not quite a wild strawberry but a strawberry with a wild side. A lady in the streets freak in the sheets kind of strawberry. I’m not a huge fan of this ice cream base, though, as it comes across a little cheesy/overchurned. On the upside though, I got a couple of comments about how nice of a room note this one has.
- Pleasant little simple recipe, but soft, not a ton of flavor. The lemon especially seems a bit watered down, both by the lower than average concentration of a fairly weak flavor, and by the cactus, which pokes out a bit without a more bitey lemon to overpower it. I would add some other lemon to this, like FE Lemon, VT Sour Lemon, or even just some FA Lemon Sicily, and maybe push the Boysenberry up to 3% as well.
- FLV Boysenberry, melon, and lemon go so well together. Personally, I would like the lemon to be a little bit more forward and make a boysenberry lemonade rather than just a bit of lemon behind this melon-forward recipe, but all of these things taste like they belong together. I love Wild Melon but it sometimes gets a teensy bit soapy on me at 2% and higher, depending on what it’s mixed with, and it does here, but I’m not holding it against this recipe because because there are a lot of people who don’t have that issue. I’d like to mix it again with half a percent of the Wild Melon replaced with half of a percent of a more assertive lemon.
- This is awesome! Absolutely slays with morning and after dinner coffee. What I'm getting isn't 100% perfect, but I'm still leaving five stars for the following reasons: It tastes amazing, this is a difficult as hell profile, and I'm not sure it's possible to get any closer to tiramisu in a vape. Imperfections include a little too much chocolate, and a very slight coconutty note that's out of place. If you don't like cocoa, you shouldn't be trying to vape tiramisu anyway, and I happen to enjoy coconut enough that the little touch of it here doesn't bother me at all. The soaked ladyfingers and cream are perfection. I usually have them soaked in coffee liqueur rather than the kind with espresso with a touch of amaretto or spiced rum, but those varieties are wonderful too and for this one you could just say you went a bit tropical and used espresso with a spoonful of coconut rum. Hmmm.... I feel inspired to make actual tiramisu that way and see how it turns out!
- So this just swiped the lemons from the legendary Best Damn Pink Lemonade... and created a new and even better (!) recipe by replacing TFA Strawberry Ripe and TFA Sweet Raspberry with FLV Boysenberry. For the most part, the Boysenberry combines with the lemon, with little separation between the two. Really makes the case for how well this Boysenberry tastes with lemons. There might be some room for improvement with other lemons or backing up the berry. But for three common (or should be common) flavors in a quick little perfectly shake-and-vapable recipe? This is amazing.
- I gave this a try in the course of sampling a bunch of recipes that incorporate boysenberry flavors in different ways. This one just uses a touch of VT Boysenberry to sharpen some blueberry against a rich cream base that might otherwise overwhelm it. That works, and this stuff is delicious. It mostly tastes like someone “harvested” the blueberries out of dozens and dozens of blueberry muffins blended those up into luxurious rich vanilla ice cream. I have a few words of advice regarding this recipe. One, mix it up, people. I doubt you’ll regret it.. Two, turn your temperature control or wattage down a little more than you normally have it. This stuff sings under less heat. If you throw too much power at it, it keeps that creamy finish, but the blueberry on top gets much sharper, almost to the point of harshness. Also, it some of that deep cooked berry sweetness gives way to more of an artificial, candied sweetness. Three, where’s the muffin? I’m not getting any of the promised cake notes. Probably more sensitive taster would, but they aren’t showing up for me (one of the reasons for monkeying around with the settings). Ordinarily I might dock a star when reviewing a recipe for not delivering 100% as promised, but you see here I did not. That’s because it’s that damn yummy. But if you really have your heart set on tasting some muffin in there, rather than just the tons of blueberries harvested from muffins, maybe add a touch of that FLV Lembas Bread, or if you want bakery but want it more in line with cake than muffin, a bit of one of any number of the tasty WF cake flavors might do the trick.
- Outstanding recipe! That FW Wild Berry Cobbler is great on its own but PUR Boysenberry Preserves leveling up the cooked berry and CAP Sugar Cookie reinforcing it’s otherwise light crust note, make it even better. These three together perfectly nail the crust and cooked dark berries that taste like a combination of blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. I don’t know if whether it’s more of a light ice cream or a heavy whipped cream filling it out with rich creamy vanilla on top, it’s not an extra-rich thick ice cream, but it’s delicious without distracting from cobbler itself.
Boys Love Melons Lemonade by /u/HumanPuck
- Super refreshing, terrific recipe. Tastes like a hot day ADV. The boysenberry and lemons blend together into a nice boysenberry sweet and tart lemonade right up front and there’s a sweet and juicy watermelon lemonade finish, with a little mixed melon filling out the middle.
Blue Eyes White Dragon by /u/foment_life
- A delightfully confusing recipe. It's muddled in the best possible way, proving like Grack Juice, Fiestas and Fiascos, Coop's Kiwi Bourbon and a few other notable works of abstract recipe art that something doesn't have to represent a real thing to be tasty as hell. The closest thing I can compare it to... Have you ever bought frozen sliced peaches? You know you don't have to thaw them out, right? You can eat them right out of the freezer for a wonderful summer treat. Now imagine those peaches are blue. Not blueberry + peach, but an alternate universe where some peaches happen to be naturally blue and taste much different, and most agree better, than their yellow brethren. This juice is a trip into that fantasy world and it's a place I want to revisit.
None More Black by /u/chemicalburnvictim
- Holy mother of WOW! I never would have guessed that Brigade 2506 could be improved, but this did it, with these lovely dark sweet berry and cocoa notes. complimenting the robust, smoky, dirty, and delicious tobacco. It's no less satisfying that Brigade - in fact it's more so. Bonus: The room note has gone from "are you vaping that yucky tobacco again?" to "hmmm that one smells good!"
Jesus christ. I've just been vaping Grape Berry 50/50
I might have a bit of a problem but flavors are cheaper than therapy and a lot more fun to talk about than feelings and crap.
Boysenberry kick?
It’s a wonder I didn’t go boysenberry blind
Vaping on a few things, but here's the highlight...
https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/share/e11af772-665e-4d4c-a760-babef2b52645
It's an icy orange/cactus summertime vape. I mix it for MTL, but just whipped up some for DTL this morning to see how it fairs.
Hmm, this recipe is inspiration for a little mad experiment ... if things don't go bonkers around here tonight I'll give it a go!
Mad experiment you say?
Interest... Piqued. Care to share beforehand?
Also, it pleases me greatly that I inspired someone else! Thanks!
I've been vaping Berries and Cream, don't quite remember who came up with the recipe but I got it on this sub. 4% TFA Strawberry Ripe, 3% TFA Blueberry Extra, 6% Bavarian Creme. Vapes like a goddamn dream.
I'm also on week 2 of steeping my first personal recipe which is 5% FW Cappuccino and 5% FW Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. It smells fantastic and I'm hoping it tastes the same.
I have been vaping:
1-2-3 Butter Pecan Pie by u/ID10-T
It's some good stuff. While he recommends 12 day steep, I went on and gave it 21 days instead. Oh dear sweet lord, it's delicious. Creamy, buttery, nutty, sweet and warming!
And then just my own stuff, as I have a lot of recipes steeping away.
I must say my Pink-Pine-Ava has turned out really well - except for one tiny minor problem, that I'm not sure how to fix... That Pink Guava sure knows how to make your wicks just reek of its flavor. None the less, re-wicking works.
WF Butter Pecan Pie is delicious. The 1-2 of that 1-2-3 just giving it a little help.
i'm going back to the start and trying for a real ciggie taste. do not ask why.

0.25 (FLV) Classic Cigarette
1.5 (FLV) Sweet Cigarette
3 (HS) Turkish Blended

it even leaves that weird chemical aftertaste.
Why?
you were supposed to ask "why not?" I dont know. maybe because i have weird tastes? maybe because i like how tobaccos have that aroma but really want to see if they can get genuinely realistic like mixing a blueberry from different flavors? maybe because somebody always has that crazy friend who wants an electronic cigarette? maybe because it hasnt been done yet? maybe because it's easy to make something stinky and it fits my blunt palate? but probably just because i have a bug up my ass.
"Something quick, simple and fruity. Not that complex but still tasty.
Inspired by oriental canned drinks with jelly pieces.
Sweet Lychee and Jelly Candy are the base here and both compliment each other quite well. Although the percentages might seem high, the Jelly helps tone down the floral notes from the lychee.
Blackcurrant and dragonfruit are added to round out the body and mouth feel."
"So normally this is where all the development notes would go. Normally. Problem is, there really aren't any. It just worked. FLV Pink Guava is the star of the show here and it does it so damn well. FA Lime Tahity Distilled and INW Pineapple are the background flavors here, they play off the Pink Guava really well. Even though Cap Double Apple is the highest % and our original intention was for it to be a dominant flavor, it ended up being very subtle and added a great bit of depth and heartiness to the overall flavor. VT Fizzy Sherbet does what we love it to do and adds some fizz into the mix."
"A lemonade so delicious that the haters start to come out of the woodwork.
FLV Lemonade- Base, delicious tangy lemonade
TFA Blackberry- Adds the darker berry notes
FLV Pink Guava- Really comes across more like a grapefruit here.
Cap Super Sweet- Absolutely subjective. It's in almost every one of my mixes, but when I mixed this for my supervisor he asked for it to be dropped down to .2%
I mixed this for a Tuesday that I was going golfing. I had hoped it would turn out well, but I was pleasantly surprised! This one is absolutely a good SNV, but I do think that it gets better after about a day. Please give any feedback.
FA Fuji- For sweetness and juiciness."
Green Breeze (cucumber/kiwi/melon)
"Just a super simple casual but very tasty and refreshing recipe. This got my wife off of the stinkies....finally!"
Breakfast of the Gods today, mulling over a few tweaks. I think I'd like the banana a bit more forward than it is at the moment, but otherwise I'm enjoying it so far.
Past that BEWD is back in rotation this week.
God's Milk. They said to let it steep for 5 days. They were not kidding. TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust) is absolutely disgusting for the first 3 days. After that it's awesome.
Been vaping on my Kryptonite:
http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/3006455/Kryptonite%20%2321%20V2
It's similar to an apple cream soda I drank as a kid in Georgia. Not as heavy a vape as it may appear. Doesn't look like much, but decent ADV for me.
Also working on a mango variant, but that's hopefully for next week ;)
My ADV from the past few months, which is the result of almost 4 years of refinement between several people :
It's a mixture of green tea, several other kinds of tea, a nice tobacco blend and peach. No other flavor even compares to me. Just a great, slightly sweet and fruity flavor, but also has a nice earthy taste.
Doing some base experimenting. Currently working on a cherry blend for future mixed and here's what's it working on so far. I'm not liking how strong/harsh the black cherry is but it's getting closer.
3% CAP Cherry 2% FA Black Cherry
Today is day 2 of the steep so trying to see how it works over time in case I like/ hate it after a week steep.
Can't put down this blackberry custard I found somewhere on this sub researching TFA blackberry
black custard: 10% vanilla custard (cap) 4% vanilla swirl (tfa) 2% blackberry (tfa)
Has a kind of weird blackberry - white cheese kind of taste, like a Christmas cheese ball. Weird taste as I've said but it so good that I can't seem to stop dripping it.
Blue Passion Champagne
CAP-Passionfruit -3%
HS -Blueberry-2%
FW-Pink Champagne-1%
optional ws-23
threw this together this morning really quick before going to work was very very tasty
I've been vaping a variation of Moggle33's Raspberry Lemonade. I didnt have all the flavours so I tweaked it a bit to fit with the flavours that I do have and it looks like this:
INW Cactus @ 0.5%
TPA Dragonfruit @ 0.5%
CAP Juicy Lemon @ 1%
LA Lemonade @ 8%
INW Raspberry @ 1%
CAP Super Sweet @ 0.25%
It is so good I've been vaping it all day and what makes it even better is that the flavour is great right off the bat. I usually shake the bottle quite vigorously for most of the night after mixing kinda like a fidget toy and then start vaping it the following day. It's more candyish than like a drink but I like it.
Currently vaping on a DIY I made called Lucky Nuts and Caramel Cream
I hate store bought desserts they’re overly sweet and major cool killers.
This recipe is simple and tastes better after a couple of days but is good as a quick shake and vape! I mix at 65VG/35PG at 6mg
WF - Hazelnut and Cream - 8%-10% depending on taste preference. I was using 8% but wanted more flavor
OSDIY - Lucky Shot - 2%-3% again I was using at 2% but wanted more flavor.
It is my ADV and just mixed a homemade RY4 today that won’t be ready until May 13th to May 20th depending on how it tastes after a two week steep! I’m definitely excited to try it though!
Raz Lemonade by Vape58 in San Diego
Same flavor I have been stuck on for the last 4 years
