Weekly 'What are you vaping?' Thread - Week of April 8, 2019
submitted over 6 years ago by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a

This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the April Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread

Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.

If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.

Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping!

Happy Vaping!

Dreamsicle

It's a freaky accurate orange creamsicle, just in time for the weather to get warm. Needs like 3 days for the citrus to settle in, but I just vape through the steep time.

Is ws-23 the same thing as koolada? All I'm seeing is that it's a cooling agent, but I've never heard of or used it before.

3 points

by Foment_lifeover 6 years agoSeto Kaiba

WS-23 is a different formulation, same general effect. If I recall correctly Koolada is WS-3. The upside to using WS-23 is that some folks are able to taste koolada, and it is... Not good. Ws-23 is truly flavorless.

1 points

by St1llFrankover 6 years ago

Think of Koolada as "COOL". Some people think it affects the flavors. But it will give the recipe a nice chill. WS-23 is clean, doesnt effect the flavors but its "ICY". Using the same percentage WS-23 seems colder, if that makes any sense.

I just made up some bottles last night.
Last Call by myself - I'll shill this til I am sick of it, my version of an old fashioned
QUIK by ENYAWREKLAW - Haven't made this in a while and was feeling a strawbs/cream
Berry Creamy by CheebaSteeba - A simple 3 ingredient recipe that hits that spot for a berries and cream mix
Water-Malone by ENYAWREKLAW - It's getting warmer out (or like today it's going to fucking snow in Wisconsin) and a refreshing crisp watermelon is a must

Super simple shake and vape I threw together while drunk.

2% grapeberry ice 3% Fuji apple 2% champagne

Tastes like bubble gum.

It's nothing fancy, but I have a difficult pallet and this one seems to hit the spot.

made a little variation of Krucial's Butter Almond Custard that is just as addictive as the original to me.

Cooky Custard RY4

\\Mixed at: 70vg/30pg

\\Steep Time: 14 days

MFG|Flavor|% :-:|:-:|:-: WF|Almond Cookie SC|2% INW|Biscuit|1% FW|Butterscotch Ripple|3.5% TPA|RY4 Double|3.5% WF|Vanilla Cream Extra|1% CAP|Vanilla Custard V1|5%

I upped the custard and introduced an extra cream from the original since I was introducing some drier ingredients in this. WF Almond Cookie SC really shines and INW Biscuit gives it a little bit of backbone. Though DFS is considered to be the superior of the RY4's TPA still has a place in my heart (And I still have a 4oz bottle of this to finish off). Altogether you get a great almond flavor, some cookie texture, and FW Butterscotch Ripple/TPA Ry4 Double play great together. If you don't mind waiting for a steeper it's been amazing after 2 weeks.

Another one that I'm enjoying, but not ready to share yet, is something that I hope to god I finally finish soon. I've been messing with it for too long, but I'm trying to work on an Apple Jacks recipe but with strawberry milk. It's going well so far except I have a feeling apple and strawberry just aren't meant to be in the same recipe. I can only taste one or the other while I tweaking it.

I've been vaping a version of that Butter Almond Custard except that I mistakenly bought 30ml of TFA Vanilla Custard instead of CAP and didn't realise until I had mixed up 100ml. It's not bad actually although I'm sure the recipe is better with CAP.

Dragons Cum by me

TPA Dragonfruit - 8%

TPA Strawberry Ripe - 2%

TPA Sweet Cream - 5%

TPA Cotton Candy - 0.5%

INW Cactus - 2-3 drops per my 50ml batch

It's good as a shake and vape, better after 2 days and after a week it's amazing. This is my adv on Drop RDA and Zeus X. It's perfectly acidy yet sweet and has this smooth note that I can't describe, I believe Cactus is adding that.

Anyways, if you have any recommendations to altering it, I'd love trying it out!

As for my Siren v2, I usually mix different versions of Peaches and cream recipes because I love them all!

Got a batch of new flavors last week, so mixed up a lot of new stuff which now had some time to steep.

Holy Trinity Ice Cream by u/AlfredPudding .. holy moly. shits amazing, impressive taste with so little flavoring.

Golden Ticket Remix v6 by u/enyawreklaw .. really good! Big fan of TFA VBIC (sorry peppers tasters :/ ) MB Glamour Chocolate is quite light and seems to fit very well for chocolate milk recipies, can't wait to play more with it.

Grack Juice by u/Philosaphucker .. late to the ball I know, but had to try it. I like the idea of an "abstract" recipie, with no real profile it's trying to mimic, just a really tasty vape. Bit to sweet for me, would be cool to see a "2019" version of it, much like Alfreds holy trinity icecream with very low percentages.

Peanut Butter Shake by heatho72 .. one of the best recipies I have mixed recently, I love peanut butter vapes now. Never had a peanut butter milkshake, but this is what I'd imagine it tastes like.

Cool thanks! Missing a few flavors but some of them were already on my radar. Would you say TFA Cherry Extract is "the" cherry to get, if only to get 1 to start with? Remember hearing good things about it before.

I'm going to make that peanut butter shake when I get my Peanut Butter. I hear the DX is even better than the V1

3 points

by staybertover 6 years ago

Yeah heard that too, haven't tried any other Peanut Butter flavoring but the DX version sure is authentic, probably one of the most authentic flavorings I have tried. It even captures the creamy/oily mouthfeel. Highly recommend.

I just tried grack juice myself. While although I found it good, i dont love it. I'd love to see a different take on it. I had considered a little sweetener, seems like the koolada is a bit much, but I'm not sure. I'd love to try that peanut butter shake recipe, the few commercial ones I've tried were awful.

Try this one, I find it much less jarring than the original.

A borderline insane number of single-flavor candy flavors.

Best: WF Sour Watermelon Candy, WF Sour Blue Raspberry Candy, and WF Green Hard Candy (aka Green Jolly Candy).

Second Best: CAP Candied Watermelon, OoO Blue Raspberry Candy, and CAP Green Apple Hard Candy.

Interesting: WF Sour Ball Candy, WF Chews Candy, WF Lemon Orange Rice Candy, WF Pina Colada Candy, OoO Hard Candy (Raspberry), FW Hard Candy, WF Candy Stick Candy, FW Jawbreaker, TFA Coconut Candy, and Ooo Watermelon Candy Rocks (Fizz).

Meh: FLV Candy Roll, OoO Melon Hard Candy, OoO Happy Rancher (aka Happy Hard Candy) Watermelon, TFA Watermelon Candy, FW Watermelon Candy, WF Banana Candy, WF Pineapple Candy, OoO Hard Candy (Cherry), TFA Blueberry Candy, and TFA Pear Candy.

Worst: WF Dweeb Candy, OoO Raspberry Candy, OoO Mango Candy, OoO Butterscotch Candy, and TFA Grape Candy.

Edit: added Coconut Candy.

What, no Rose Candy or Musk Candy?

Slacker.

Yeah, I definitely slacked off by not trying TFA Rose Candy, Apple Candy, Musk Candy, or Violet Candy or WF Hibiscus Candy.

FYI - probably made a good call skipping the Musk Candy. It takes a long steep.

by PepperMyJabrillover 6 years ago

I just tried WF Candy Stick Candy. Candy cigarettes aren’t really bold in the flavor department, but I kind of thought the concentrate seemed accurate. Maybe I was hoping for a bit more dryness/texture or something? Definitely an interesting flavor, though.

3 points

by ID10-Tover 6 years agoThe Kingmaker

They show a picture of candy cigarettes with the flavor, but it's nowhere near as dry and chalky as candy cigarettes. Remember what the sticks that come with Fun Dip taste like? Try vaping it while thinking of Fun Dip sticks.

3% INW Cactus with 1 drop per 10ml of CAP sweet tangerine and CAP juicy orange. oh and 1% ws-23

2 points

by garamasalaover 6 years ago

Is one drop of each enough to do anything?! I can't imagine it breaking through 3% INW Cactus.

3 points

by WaterBroomover 6 years ago

Its definitely on the weak side. The main reason is it alters the after taste of inw cactus. I find it more pleasant as an adv. If you are used to full body flavours or sweeter juice it might do nothing for you unless you bump up the % of the fruits. I also use CAP double apple and TPA honeysuckle at 1 drop/10ml. Those La Croix memes come to mind "shy watermelon" "imagine a strawberry but with a low battery". haha

I mixed myself some Rupert's Peruvian Cactus Apple. Juicy, smooth and just right.

A strawberry and cream I made with the cream base from folkart's Mayan milk. Very tasty.

Finally tried this by mlnikon. It's simple and awesome.

My grape soda , think I shared it in a grape soda thread. Check my profile if interested.

Still working on something like deadly sin , which is basically ry4double , fw yellow cake and cds. But with none of those flavors. Will share if I ever complete it.

10 ml | INW Watermelon 2% | INW Cactus 2 drops | INW Mint 3 drops | 50/50 | 12 mg

Innokin Prism T20S 1.5 Ohm @ 14 W

The cactus and watermelon seems a good fit, but I'm not sure how well suited the cactus is for low wattage, going down to 13 W gives the cactus a bit of an odd taste. I think this could use another watermelon and perhaps just a tad of citrus. Recommendations ?

2 points

by St1llFrankover 6 years ago

> this could use another watermelon

I'd say. Inawera Watermelon tastes like a deodorant fragrance to me. Jungle Flavors makes a better one. Flavourart is good too but a bit faint. For candy, I think Purilum is the best. Capella's watermelons are a bit weak. I needed to add super sweet before I could really taste them (Sweet, & Double)

3% LA Watermelon

I haven't had INW Watermelon but my go-to MTL watermelon is TFA Watermelon at 4-5% + LA Watermelon at 3-4%. And 1% of FLV Wild Melon. Sometimes I'll add 1% of Cactus cause cactus goes with everything ever and I love it.

I’m brand new to this sub, just thought about checking out recipes on Reddit and stumbled upon this sub. I’ve been vaping for about 4.5 years now and have had the same ADV only tweaked slightly. 2% Caramel (original) (TFA) 2% French Vanilla V2 (CAP) 3% Butterscotch (FW) 4% Hazelnut (TFA) 4% Vanilla Custard V2 (CAP) Personally I use all VG, it’s good at 70/30 as well though. Some times I’ll throw in some blueberry or strawberry to change it up. Also I know many people aren’t fans of custards, my wife leaves it out and has been vaping this same recipe minus the custard for over 2 years now as well.

Welcome to the sub. Just so you know caramel original has sugar in it, specifically corn syrup.

Recently been digging:

2.25 FW Kiwi

1.50 FA Raspberry

2.50 RF Strawberry

1.00 FA Blackcurrant

Started as just a random mix thrown together on a whim, just to have something to vape. Tweaked percentages once, and now this is where I'm at. Surprisingly tasty. Like really good. I'll continue to tweak a bit and see where it ends up. I took the strawberry down a bit and doubled the Blackcurrant to 1%.

Naked 100 lava flow and Hawaiian pog. Soooo goood. Trying out watermelon crack by bx vapor rn. Ive let it steep for a week already, still way too much mint and can barely taste the watermelon. Not sure if ill keep up with it yet. Gonna keep steeping. Also been hankering to go back to dead presidents for a bit, blueberry muffin (jackson) is calling me...
