Tell me about your bottles
submitted over 6 years ago by CloudsOverOrion

I'm sick of chubbies getting wrinkled and looking nasty after a week.Top heavy child proof caps and bottles falling over all the time is annoying. I hate having to unleash my inner body builder to open glass dropper tops.

Is there a magical bottle solution? Most plastic ones look so damn cheap compared to chubbies. Idk, I guess I just don't like the Boston round look. If they made chubbies with ldpe I'd die of joy. The v3 tops solved the most annoying problem with them, now we need more plastic options.

At least when I order things from China my goldfish brain forgets about it before it gets here so it's a fun surprise! Couldn't hurt to look at some hardware....

They come in multiple colors - in case you're the type that likes to "Color Code" things.

For those that don't know how to use the dropdown menu under "Model" on Fasttech (grin - that's a hint!) - don't miss these . . .

Nice, I have PET 60mls that style. They're great but just a little harder to squeeze.

I mainly use chubby gorilla style bottles only because of the wide opening makes things so much easier for me when mixing. When adding VG to Boston rounds with their relatively small openings the VG tends to build up and back out the top.

LDPE Boston rounds all day. Fuck chubbies.

Just picked these bad boys up

And with this style of bottles, you can unscrew the cap, put the cap on, but don't screw it at all and quickly snap the cap and nipple to the side and it takes the cap right off. No creases at all on them, and super cheap! Plus the different color caps makes it easier to see what is what

I have lots of those. I like how the caps and tips are pretty much universal for all the sizes. I really like that style. Although I got some in the 30ml size that seemed to split easily. It would happen on the up & down seam (where its manufactured together) up by the threading for the top. I might have just got a bad batch or bought from the wrong vendor.

510 Central-- I've bought hundreds of these 10, 30 and 50ml LDPE Boston Rounds and never a problem with them.

BCF stocks the 60 ml LDPE bottles. The threading can be a little wonky but overall, I'm pleased with them.

> threading can be a little wonky

I've stripped a few out but I still like them. The tips come out pretty easy too.

I reused 60ml ldpe bottles that PG and VG came in. I've bought some more and yorker caps to make dispensing easier.

I bought some 15 and 30ml unicorn bottles when I started, and tried to reuse 60ml Chubby Gorilla bottles when I got to that stage. I noticed, however, that CG bottles break down from reuse (the plastic crinkles from squeezing so much).

I've got some old chubbies I used for almost 2 years that look like they've been through a hail storm lmao

You're doing good. I've only got months out of some of mine.

I have all kinds of bottles in all kinds of sizes. One can never have enough bottles doing DIY.

When I make a larger batch (Over 120ML) bullet bottles are the way to go. They make all sorts of sizes like 4oz, 8oz, 16oz and even 32 I think. I got mine at NicRiver for very cheap. I got twist tops for them like old Plotchmann's mustard style. I use the bigger bullet bottles to refill smaller 30ml or even 60ml bottles. Just twist it open, squeeze a couple of times, and that's it. I squeeze fill my squonk bottles with them too. I went through so many other bottles (for big batches) until I found the best ones for the job.

I recently just changed my bottles to these babies. They're still the standard gorilla/unicorn bottles but these have a nice premium looking cap. Comes in red, blue, black and white with a frosted transparent cap.

I stick with boston round. Hate buying bottles over and over. To clean, rinse, add baking soda slurry, let sit over night, new bottle!

[cobalt blue 2oz] (https://www.amazon.ca/Vivaplex-Cobalt-Glass-Bottles-Droppers/dp/B0721PDBH6/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=1ZQHVH91Y533E&keywords=dropper+bottle&qid=1554915799&s=gateway&sprefix=Dropp&sr=8-4)

Is there a reason that you want plastic?

I use these 59.1ml glass dripper bottles, it's a bitch to clean and sterilize the dropper but I only do it once when I need to mix my first recipe in one and don't bother cleaning when I have to mix the next batch.

I get the 99 pack of 30ml amber glass bottles from DropperStop off Amazon.

Planning on getting the 80 pack of 60ml ones eventually.
