Hello all,
Apologies if some of you might think my question is silly but here is the think. I would like to « premix » some flavors in order to make a concentrate. Let say I have a recipe such as:
- 10% of flavor A
- 5% of flavor B
- 3% of flavor C
So in a classic way of doing stuff I would use 18% of flavor in total (1.8 ml for 10 ml).
Now if I want to get the same final mix is it ok for instance to create 18 ml of premixed concentrate with:
- 10 ml of flavor A
- 5 ml of flavor B
- 3 ml of flavor C
And then using this premix and just take 1.8 ml of it for doing 10 ml?
Thank you and sorry if my english is bad!
If you go to eliquid recipes there is a choice in the drop down menu for making a concentrate for a particular recipe....easy :)
yes, thats exactly right. you can just scale up or down the flavours as you see fit. though there are some exceptions due to muting Ethyl Maltol for example if in a large quantity can detroy a flavour comp in about a week
Your recipe is 18% flavoring. Your ingredients are:
A) 10/18= ~55.5% B) 5/18= ~28% C) 3/18= 16.5%
Multiply those percentages by whatever volume of premix you're making. Then when you're adding it to a bottle to mix simply multiply 18% by the bottle size and that's how much of your flavor base you add.
