Rainbow Sherbet Without Vanilla?
submitted over 6 years ago by Pimplicate

I am looking to make a simple rainbow sherbet without adding any vanilla or cream flavors.

Every recipe I've found adds some form of vanilla, and I am allergic. I've had a commercial juice that had a creaminess but didn't cause a reaction that I'm aiming to emulate.

Can I just omit vanilla based on recipes I've found and brighten the fruits without it being awful? I just started DIYing, and haven't tried just omitting or substituting much to know if a decent flavor will result.

I plan on using FW rainbow sherbet for the base and adding a little WS-23 for the cold sensation. I'm hoping that the FW rainbow sherbet will have a creaminess that will give the sherbet feel without adding anything but fruits to enhance it.

Any opinions or advice is appreciated!

As someone who's searched high and low for a decent rainbow sherbet flavor I can assure you that all of the single flavoring options for it will disappoint.

/u/Cannibal's Sherb V3 is the closest I've come to convincing me of an actual rainbow sherbet flavor. You could probably drop the Vanilla Swirl and be happy if you had to. You really want an airy fluff cream with a sherbet and that's what whipped cream does.

If you do decide to mix this vape it within a week. The EM in it mutes like a bitch and it is very necessary for a authentic "Sherb" experience. Vape it once with the EM and you can't take it out. Just not the same.

Would it be possible to mix a bigger batch without EM and then transfer 20ml at a time to a smaller bottle and add EM to that?

I have done this in the past and it seemed to have worked out just as well.

Have you ever tried OOO Rainbow Sherbet (Top Shelf)?

Also I was just watching a noted episode talking about sherbets and sorbets and shurb recipe from cannibal was mentioned but believe she said v7 final version, wonder if the final version of his shurb clone would be better than v3?

I have no idea. This comment was made three years ago and I haven't followed any further revisions he's made.

Thanks for this!

I've been meaning to use marshmallow to see if I'm allergic, so I'm going to try it out.

What about trying VT Fizzy Sherbet/WS-23 base and adding some fruit flavors to it along with a bit of cream?
