WEEK IV
Another week has passed. Time to learn if readers here want to make mention of any stand-alone (single) flavor concentrates. Did you find any that you really liked? Were you somehow surprised? Not looking for reviews or recipes. And feel free to give dishonorable mention those you found were not vape-able or simply horrid. My good and bad are mentioned below.

PUR Caramel Coffee (w/Sweet Milk) - Pretty Good!
Kudos to /u/mlNikon for mentioning how they liked this in Episode #88 of Noted (on YouTube) while coffee is not their profile. I'm not really a coffee snob, but do know good coffee; that Jamaican Blue Mountain grind a premium one. And that I can't afford it. So it's nice to find an ingredient that is tasty.

FW Butter Pecan - Fair
Buttery, buttery, buttery. Did I mention butter? Only a hint of pecan. Maybe I have trouble tasting nuttiness as well as bakeries?

CAP Sugar Cookie V2 - ???
It's vape-able. For me, it misses the mark.
TL:DR Had added CAP Super Sweet in a larger amount that would have guessed. The reason it's mentioned here is that used the mixture in conjunction with TFA Apple Pie, thinking it would sweeten and give it a cookie/pie back-note. Instead it came out tasting like apple cider or apple-rind, that bit of tartness you'd expect from the latter in red apples. Oh, believe it or not, it actually tasted good after I gave it a real chance. Going to give it another chance down the road (as a stand-alone) to see if it's me or if it's going to always taste the way it does.
First time participating in this thread (and don't know when I will again since I'm a good ways out from my next mix) so I'm just mentioning in the most recent ones I've tried.
RF (SC) Baja at 2% is pretty good IMO and one of my wife's favorites. Can't really do a side-by-side comparison since they don't do diet anymore and even if they brought it back the nearest Taco Bell's like 45 minutes away.
Capella 27 Bears at 6% is a nice white (pineapple) gummy bear flavor, both the wife and I liked it quite a bit and not just as a vape - we also made some sugar-free gummy bears with it (just a few drops of that and some sucralose in water with a lot of gelatin, exactly how much of each I don't recall off the top of my head and I'd have to dig through my notes to find it so I won't bother unless someone asks). Side note: despite my username, I wasn't as big a fan of 27 Fish as a vape (though it was better than TFA Swedish Gummy), but it was even better than 27 Bears in gummies.
Molinberry Glamour Chocolate at 4% is the best milk chocolate vape I can recall trying - I've got like five or six recipes I'd abandoned several years back that I'm going to be resurrecting in the coming months thanks to this one.
Molinberry American Bubblegum at 3% tastes exactly as you'd think it would.
Most recently was last week, I tried TPA Earl Grey at 5%, overall flavor was good but strong enough that I added in some unflavored (should be enough to get it down close to ~3%). I haven't tried it since diluting it though because I've mainly just been vaping Prickly Victory since I have over 200ml left to go through.
Not sure how appropriate single flavors I didn't enjoy are, but the one that comes to mind and I feel worth mentioning is Molinberry Milkshake at 5% - I mean it seems like it'd be great in a mix, it has some notes that would contribute nicely to a few profiles I've been trying to work on, but on it's own it's just meh.
Very informative read, thanks! And a chocolate is something that I've been putting off since my expectations are probably too high for a concentrate. Someone in a YT video had mentioned Lava Cake but Liquid Barn is still "sold out" for all three volume options. Will definitely consider your mention of Glamour Chocolate. :)
FLV Pink Guava 3% + WS-23 at you % of choice is a really refreshing adv for me. Same with FLV lychee at 1% + WS-23. Another is HS Tab Blended anywhere from 4-8%. It's a really nice ry4 that is nutter than most and very full flavored. Not a ton of tobacco, but that's ry4 for you.
How close is it to actual guava? I grew up in south America (been in canada since ‘86) and guava anything is rare up here, i never even bothered trying any just because lol
FLV cinnamon crunch @ 4.5%, 70/30. Hands down delicious, creamy Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Highly recommend. I’ve vaped 300ml of it over the last two months. Flavor holds up well for at least a week, and I get vape tongue very easily. And it isn’t harsh at all, like I would expect from a cinnamon vape.
Have you tried it at around half that percentage to see if you still get vapers tongue? Flavorah is generally extremely concentrated, I don't think many need above ~2%.
Haven’t done that yet tbh, 4.5 was where what little recommendations I could find for use said I should be. It is delicious at 4.5, and I can taste it fine for the first week, which is usually all I can taste things for anyways. I don’t lose the ability to taste it entirely either, which is a plus. I think I just vape too much so I get used to the flavors.
To get a guide of general percentage look at the average useage on sites like alltheflavors.com. You can see it's right about 2%, and as a single flavour, maybe bump it up a notch. https://alltheflavors.com/flavors/flavorah-cinnamon-crunch
Less is more!
SC Western (from BCF) - a tobacco that's got a nice leathery note and isn't kinda gross like TFA Western or super chocolately like INW Western. It's got a hint of cocoa I could do without but it's not out of control chocolatey.
HS Tobacco - A generic name for a pretty generic flavor that's kinda boring by itself, but seems like it might be nearly as versatile as FLV Cured, while also having bit hint of nuttiness.
Real Flavors butter crisp candy bar @ 10%
SNV just like a butterfinger. When it steeps its more like capn crunch pb puff cereal kinda peanut butter.
Lemon Meringue Pie (FlavorWest)
Mixed at 15% I liked it. Nice candy lemon on the inhale with pastry on the exhale. I know some people don't like lemon though...
15% seems kinda high. Did you start at lower percentages and keep upping it with each batch?
Mixing recommendation for the vendor was 15-20%. I mixed one bottle at 10% and it was weak. Second bottle at 15% and it was good. Didn't go any further.
Off topic a bit, but makes me wonder if vendors are going to start diluting down concentrations as one of their ways to maximize profit. Seems like if they do it for dish-washing liquids, why not flavor concentrates? :/ And yeah, guess you might be thinking I'm a bit paranoid now? LOL.
Real flavors sc blueberry 2% awesome Real flavors strawberry 2% awesome Real flavors blueberry muffin still trying to figure it out it’s pretty good at 3% with 2% Nona’s cake fa
Huge fan of CAP blue raspberry cotton candy at 11% and TFA banana (the regular banana) at 6%
I've been hankering for banana for a while now. Curious if you've tried it in a banana split kind of recipe yet (vanilla ice cream, caramel, etc)?
I suggest RY4 double TPA from 5-8 as a single falvor thats after wyne diyordie suggested that on one of his videos. Its work well taste real good
