Just finished vaping a big batch of Notorious by /u/NotCharlesManson. This juice is one of the best I've ever vaped. There's some serious magic going on here and I'm not sure how NCM did it. I can actually taste apricot from the FA Apricot in this and it comes through loud and clear. Usually I just get a fruity sweetness from it. It's a deliciously complex recipe and I absolutely love this stuff. Crazy good.

I also just finished vaping the first attempt at 2 new recipes I've started, a smoked cranberry recipe and a strapple-rhubarb pie recipe. But the smoked cranberry is on hold because I need to get some new cranberries and the vape budget is totally blown.

I fucking loved that stuff!

I've got so many irons in the fire at a time mixing wise and am so into trying new things that I don't often mix things more than once or twice, but I think I'm about due for another big bottle of Notorious.

Made this recipe: Big Papa's Macaron, as a tribute to it.

Co. | Flavor | % ---|---|---- CAP | Sugar Cookie | 2 FA | Meringue | 2 FA | Almond | 2 FLV | Cream | 1 TFA | Papaya | 0.75 FA | Apricot | 0.75 FA | Honey | 0.15

A Notoriously delicious papaya macaron with honey cream filling

I miss NCM :(

Wow that Notorious looks awesome. Is recommends a 3 day steep, have you noticed the flavors change as time goes on?

I rarely vape anything less than 20 days old so I can't really answer that one

Though I generally haven't had much luck with tobacco flavours, I've been experimenting with FLV Red Burley lately so, naturally, I made a batch of Jo's Juice by /u/ben_gaming. I'm giving it a few more days to steep, but so far it's interesting to say the least.

In the meantime I'm vaping an adaptation of this recipe whose creator isn't on Reddit as far as I know, and it turned out pretty damn tasty:

FLV Red Burley 1.25%

FA Soho 0.75%

FA Caramel 0.30%

CAP Sugar Cookie 1%

WF Brazilian Coffee 1.2%

INW Shisha Vanilla 1.3%

I wanted the Soho in there to break the perfumey notes I get from Red Burley and sort of add on to the caramel. IMO it's quite similar to RY4 Double, but a tad smokier. And WF Brazilian Coffee is far better than FA Kawa.

And with my morning coffee I've been enjoying a simple caramel custard of my own that I actually love:

The Queen

Angel Cake (WF SC) 1.5%

Custard Premium (FA) 2.50%

Dulce de Leche (TPA) 2.50%

Hazelnut (FW) 1.00%

Salted Caramel (FW) 1.00%

It's very rich, thick and sweet, though it takes a minimum of 2 weeks for it to sort of get there, and a month to get the full taste. That's its only downside, I suppose.

I'm glad you've been enjoying Jo's Juice! Your other recipes look great, I may have to try them out!

Did a 3-2-1 with FW blood orange, flv mango and FLV Pink Guava. Cheated with a little ws23 and super sweet.

It's OK. Needs more blood orange. Fun little experiment.

Speaking of experiment, I slimmed down my apple/almond /custard /cookie mix to just apple and custard. I like to lean out my recipes that are fiddly to see how they fare, and this one really needs the supporting flavors. It's OK, tasty, but Meh.

3 Blood Orange, 2 Mango, 1 Pink Guava?

2 points

by Up2myheadover 6 years ago

Correct! Could have been a bit more clear.

Every mix session I've been trying to throw together one 3-2-1 recipe, just because I like the idea. Wouldn't say it's been wildly successful, but it does push creativity, which is a win to me.

Found out that banana+citrus ends up tasting like Juicy Fruit Gum! I love Vape Train Yogurt Drink mixed with a little sweet cream & a touch of lemon lime to boost the lemon note but I'm always making different versions using different fruits on top.. this is the most interesting so far as I tried for a strawberry banana yogurt drink.

VTA Yogurt Drink @ 4 CAP Sweet Cream @ 1.5 CAP Lemon Lime @ 0.5 FA Juicy Strawberry @ 2.5 WF Banana Puree @ 1.7

Its really tasty and does taste like a strawberry/banana yogurt drink situation on some puffs but then on other puffs it tastes just like juicy fruit gum.. like a fresh piece, it even tastes juicy! Definitely not what I expected lol

Edit: As a side note, the most successful fruit combo with yogurt drink I've come up with is strawberry/blackcurrant. It's an ADV for me Currant Event

Imagine a juicy fruit gum that doesn’t lose its flavour

Now, Im trying to do strawberry vanilla. I am a new mixer so trying to find something good.

started with TPA ripe straw 5% and TPA vanilla swirl 1.5%, with FW Butterscotch 0.5%. It's not that bad but still missing something. So, I'm planning to increase vanilla to 2%, decrease butterscotch to 0.25% and add some Harvest berry TPA 1.5% (to make it a little bit sweet) and (maybe) forest fruit FA 0.5% and see how it comes.

Might be good with some sort of cream or vanilla ice cream and bit of a steep.

Maybe a waffle and/or caramel? This is close to an experiment of mine where I took some of VapeWild's The Streak, used your combination and the flavors that were in it... came out pretty good. Didn't really detail what percentages though, was just trying to avoid tossing the juice.

by ClownMask07over 6 years ago

I agree with you, a waffle touch with will be AMAZING. do you know any good one? I think cap has a good one, did you try it?

Hadn't gotten into bakeries much at all. Apologies I can't make a good recommendation. Someone commented about one in a thread I'd posted today about single-flavorings that people like. https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/b3syzj/weekly_singleflavors_you_enjoyed/

As usual, I never settle on just one flavor, I'm always loading up and mixing up something new. Here are some highlights from the week:

Twister Lolly is a delicious recreation of that massive theme park lollipop you may have gotten all over your face as a kid. And it's way more vapable than that sounds-- a very pleasant sweet blend of candy fruit flavors. I recommend subbing WS-23 for Koolada, as I do every time I encounter a recipe calling for Koolada.

Blue Raspberry Candy by u/EdibleMalfunction is impressive in its flavor synthesis with no blue raspberry ingredients and it's really tasty too.

Strawberry honey Graham tart 🍓 is delicious and addictive even as a shake-and-vape, this may not survive to see how it is at two weeks. A perfect use of FLV Milk & Honey, which I've got a new thing for.

Speaking of, I've been single flavor testing some Flavorah flavors. Milk & Honey and Yakima Hops were quite nice alone.

Finally, I continue to suck down the Funta, my orange soda of choice.

by bigtidderover 6 years ago

I'll vouch for Twister Lolly - it's great even though it looks like shit on paper. Sort of tastes like a lime popsicle. I liked it enough to try it with a 25% flavor reduction but it lost it's charm so I just mix up the original recipe once in a while. I skip the Koolada and haven't had the "play-doh" taste that some reviewers noted.

by ben_gamingover 6 years agoDiketones, Schmiketones

I can't stand Koolada, so whenever a recipe calls for it I just substitute WS-23... It's always an improvement. And I definitely didn't get a "play-doh" taste from my mix, so I would blame Koolada for any off flavor. Thanks for the reminder, I updated my review to mention my deviation from the recipe.

oh, great! I've been looking for something to try that black cherry jellybean in, since I never got past the single flavour test on it.

Too bad I'm missing the pixie stix, I'll have to add it to my next order.

I've been vaping Ohm Fuck my way , my tweaked version of the original version by G3N0CID3. It is so freaking delicious.
Holy grail RY4, Banana cream and Peanut Butter with cookies/biscuit. I find it super creamy & dense, awesome tobacco dessert style

by Justjasontmover 6 years ago

That looks straight forward and super delicious! I'm gonna have to try it out

Have a go indeed. Long steep it is not a must but I’d say 1-2 weeks will contribute to the balance there

1 points

by Justjasontmover 6 years ago

Oh for sure. It seems like everything in this would come together real nicely after 7-10 days

by ID10-Tover 6 years agoThe Kingmaker

Mostly a bunch of tobacco single flavors. I finished off the last of the Banana Grandma and was sad to see it go, but it's time to move on. Maybe if Fresh03 lets me back on his show I'll be lucky enough to get another crowd-sourced recipe that good. Or even half as good would be fine.

I did learn that WF Candy Stick Candy, despite having a picture of those horrible chalky candy cigarettes on marketing stuffs, actually tastes like the stick that comes with Fun Dip. Maybe I'm a weirdo for it, but I think the stick was the best part of Fun Dip, so this was a delightful discovery.

Really loving this sub, serious food for thought. Anyway Ive been mixing for just about 6 months now, and think maybe I've found my calling. This is my most recent version of what I'm calling KAPN KRUNK V3:

Crunchberry Cereal (FW) 5%

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (FW) 6%

Yellow Cake V2 (FW) 2%

Cake Batter Dip (FW) 2%

Biscuit (INW) 1.5%

Marshmallow (FW) 1.5%

Whipped Cream (FW) 1%

Sweetener (DRF) 1%

I upped the percentages quite a bit from my last version and am super happy with it as a SnV but it really shines with a week or more steep. Really interested to recieve any reviews good or bad and hope you all try and enjoy.

There has been ALOT going on this week.

First up, the obvious The Trinity Vanilla Ice Cream

Still seriously in awe about this mix. I love it.

Cabin by u/AlfredPudding has completed its steep and holy fuck this is phenomenal. Coming from someone who despises tobaccos, even though it's not technically a true tobacco, this is delicious. My wife who is/was dual using for a while now tasted it and i had to fight to get my mod back. She went to have a cigarette and after three puffs and three "ews" she tossed it and asked for the mod again. So win fucking win right there.

I’ve also got a single flavor LB VIC @ 18% because Alfred put the idea into my head and I have no self control. Seriously not all that bad. It’s buttery, movie theatre butter sauce buttery but still that delightful Vanilla Ice Cream.

Alfred threw down some sort of Grapefruit, Strawberry, Tangerine and Watermelon mix and it is absolutely delightful. He didn’t tell me a name so well call it Alfreds Something Something.

Then we have Senarius. A combo of u/EdibleMalfunction’s and I think Alfreds Blackberry Trinity and the Vanilla Ice Cream Trinity. Wooooh damn is it good. It’s a mind fucker too. One drag you think it’s too heavy on the the berry, then the ice cream finishes it off. Another one, the ice cream starts it off and the berries finish it. Another one, they’re all blended. It’s some killer shit.

I’m also still trying to flesh out a Banana Coconut Cookie, Banana Coconut Custard, and a Pineapple Upside Down Cake. All of which are very promising.

Last but not least. In a bit I’ll be mixing up a Cherry Limeade Alfred, u/isuamadog and myself with some help from Foment tossed together. And I will (finally, I’m sorry I’m slow Fo) be mixing up u/Foment_Life’s Orange Creamsicle which sounds fantastic!

Cactus Tropical while some new stuff steeps. This is one I always have a big bottle of. Can't recommend this enough for new mixers, only 2 ingredients and amazing right off the shake, also doesn't fade over time. Add some WS-23 if you like that, and you will be a very happy vaper!
