Help with a Pineapple Recipe
submitted over 6 years ago by ninedimensions

I've been playing around with this recipe for a long time and I've got it very close to where I want it, but I can't seem to nail one thing..that bright, juicy taste you get from a pineapple and it's honestly driving me crazy. I've been through 18 trials on this recipe trying to dial it in specifically where I want it.

This recipe is focused on Pineapple, but contains hints of starfruit to make it a bright, vibrant, and refreshing vape bursting with flavor.

RECIPE: Bikini Bottom

(3% Flv Pineapple) (2% Cap Golden Pineapple) (1% TFA Dragonfruit) (0.5% WF Starfruit) (0.33% Sucralose) (3 Drops of TFA Koolada)

70/30 (VG/PG) 2 mG of nicotine

Any tips at all to improve this recipe would be so so much appreciated.

[EDIT] .5% Inw Cactus seemed to do the trick. Might even boost it up to .75% or 1% just because I think the cactus flavor mingles well with pineapple. Just waiting for TFA cucumber to come in to seal this deal. Thanks for all your help guys.

Seen INW Pineapple paired with CAP Golden Pineapple a lot. Have you tried INW Pineapple?

I have not tried INW Pineapple yet. The flavor profile is more after a realistic pineapple with all of it's juiciness and vibrance. So if it can accommodate that criteria I'm all for it.

I found this in flavour of the week. It seems to be known as quite realistic and there’s some ideas of percentages when paired with the CAP Golden Pineapple.

Edit: I seem to have forgotten how to type.

Yeah I can vouch for the INW Pinapple / Golden Pineapple combo, makes a real good pineapple juice.

Maybe try adding 0.25% FE Lemon. I found that works wonders with tropical fruits.

Flavorah Jackfruit. That is all.

Never tried it. I'm assuming I'd use it in the same sense as Inw cactus or TFA cucumber? What does it taste like or do in a mix?

Jackfruit tastes like a weird hybrid of pineapples with banana. The FLV one does have the juicy effect, and also some funky texture. Every tropical mix of mine has at least a little bit in it

I'll definitely take that into consideration because I do A LOT of tropical mixes. They're my absolute favorite and that juiciness is a key trait of tropical fruits.

My quest for juicy realistic pineapple ended at MB Funky Pineapple. Something like:

  • MB Funky Pineapple 8-10%
  • CAP Golden Pineapple 1-2%
  • TFA Dragonfruit 1%
  • CAP Super Sweet 0.3%
  • WS-23

Edit: Mixed something similar to this last night. MB Pineapple 9%, FLV Cream 1%, FA Citrus Mix 0.5%, FW Razzleberry 1%.

I've never heard of the brand MB? What is the full name and is it expensive? I hate to kick flv pineapple out of the mix because it's honestly IMO the closest thing to a legitimate pineapple, but if the mb brand is better I'm all for it.

I apologize for my brainfart. You're talking about Molinberry. I have not tried their line up, but have heard very good things about them.

Yes Molinberry. I think they have some sort of connection with Inawera. Why don't you keep the FLV Pineapple then. Just remember that MB Funky Pineapple is a bit timid, and will be overpowered by other flavours easily. Maybe try something like:

  • MB Funky Pineapple 8%
  • FLV Pineapple 1%
  • CAP Golden Pineapple 0.75%
  • TFA Dragonfruit 1%
  • CAP Super Sweet 0.3%
  • WS-23

Yes, their connection is they're both Polish.

Molinberry has some sort of business arrangement with Chemnovatic... one may be a subsidiary of the other, or it may just be a strategic alliance... but that's probably the connection you were thinking of, and attributed to INW and MB.

If your looking for an extreme juicy feeling try adding cucumber/cucumber deluxe TPA 0.25~0.5% its gonna add a very juicy texture almost like a dripping water effect

Also a hint of Papaya TPA has a similar effect but more on the meaty side and my advice never use it above 0.3% or else it will appear as a papaya off note

You know I think you're on to something. I think that's what I've been missing all along. Like the flavor is there, but it's not at the same time because it's missing that watery juiciness effect in its texture. Thank you so much. I'm going to buy some now

No probs m8 my main use for cucumber deluxe by TPA is for water dripping jucieness and in a couple of recipes as a main note (cucumber bourbon, cucumber watermelon , cucumber pink lemonade & DiyorDie wayne's SCLK. as for the papaya well its quite versatile for melons to add some texture while at the same time working well as a melon main note it has some similarity in the feel of cantaloupe, pineapple, mango & watermelon in a weird sense

That's actually why Cactus was suggested.

Dude even with ONE drop of TFA cucumber it ruins the entire recipe. No hard feelings, but damn is that shit strong or I'm just super sensitive to it. One drop and I taste a cucumber top note.

Shit i forgot to mention that if you'll use cucumber TFA dilute it 50/50 with PG (or 25/75 if your very sensitive) If your using cucumber deluxe don't dilute it keep it as is Sorry that was a mistake on my part 😅

Yeah I was gonna say...this shit is stupidly strong.

I don’t know well this will help you out. But I have found, in order to get that juicy taste to a mix I add (30ml mix) around .5% Cactus (INW). It makes fruits juicier IMO.

Maybe a bit of INW Cactus..

by ninedimensionsover 6 years ago

Yeah INW Cactus really brought to where it needs to be...almost. Someone mention cucumber and it just makes sense. Once I throw that cucumber in combined with the cactus I think it will be a solid recipe.

Good stuff, yeah cucumber makes sense :)

Do you think it will blend well with everything else in the mix. I do have some handy, but I just don't want it to mute anything. Will give it a try, thank you.

by ASCiiDiTYover 6 years ago

Honestly I'm not 100% sure, but I think it will be okay in small amounts to give a juicy feel if that makes sense.

Just do a small trial IMO.

.5% wont mute anything, but will bring a touch of juiciness to the mix.

Try a little blood orange.

Hangsen Pineapple is the ticket. SC Pineapple from Bullcity is a nice way to accentuate it.

Have you tried cutting the Dragonfruit completely? It's emulsifying qualities may actually work against what you try to achieve with your recipe. Just a thought.

1 points

by ninedimensionsover 6 years ago

Yeah I actually did cut it from the mix and swapped it for inw cactus. Sooo much better. I'm going to dial down flv pineapple as it's coming off kind of weird and then throw in some TFA cucumber to top it off.

What are your 18 trials? Iow what’s failed so you don’t get someone giving you a repeat of what you’ve already tried? ( I didn’t read all the posts yet forgive me if this has been asked and answered 😬)....;)

Just slight tweaking of the pineapple ratios. I threw out Dragonfruit and added Inw cactus.

What I was looking for was just an additive to create a juicy and watery texture to make it pop and came to the conclusion to add TFA cucumber and flv Jackfruit. I am currently waiting for these two to come in the mail. Then I will post an update. I am very determined to perfect this recipe as I am obsessed with pineapple lol
