Weekly 'What are you vaping?' Thread - Week of March 11, 2019
submitted over 6 years ago by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a

This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the March Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread

Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.

If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.

Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping!

Happy Vaping!

I'm down to 3 cigs a day. What helped, is finding an old juice I mixed that was 2% Golden Rollie (Flavourart), and 5% Virginia Tobacco Absolute (Inawera). The TA while not the most flavoursome really has a smokey edge and mouth feel.

I bought some NETS (ready made) from Drake's, and the Virginia is really ciglike. I'm also vaping a lovely RY4 concentrate called RY-Whore.

Got about 3 mods on the go, all MTL, next week I'm stopping smoking altogether.

Good on ya man! A friend of mine just got his Juul and I've been making him 0mg juice for it recently. He hasn't smoked in two or three months.

If you ever switch to a pod system, stick to simple 1 to 3 ingredient flavors.

Thank you, appreciate it! Thanks for the advice, I'll bear that in mind, as I have bought 100ml of 7.2 salt nic to try. In' the UK anything over 2.0 nic is illegal so you can't get any 5.0 salt nic pods. From what i've read they have been very effective in getting people off the cigs.

My friend likes them because they are so simple to use and maintain.

He has no interest in managing a mod or tank, so it's perfect. There are a few recipes on All the Flavors made specifically for pods since they are tricky to bring out the flavors.

This user has a few pod recipes i want to try out next time I mi

Congrats! I wish I had been exposed to Flavorah tobacco flavors when I was first getting off the analogs, they really are fantastic! Great work phasing the cancer sticks out, you'll feel so much better when you switch to only vaping!

Cheers m8, I appreciate it. It's funny you mentioning Flavorah, as i've just had a 10 ml bottle of red burley concentrate through the post, i've read so many people have the same sentiment about them as you have. Sounds like it will be a good buy.

Physically i'm feeling the benefit already, but I know it will be better once I cut out those 3.Thanks again for the encouragement, it really is appreciated!

Red Burley is the first tobacco flavor anyone should try if they're looking for a realistic, robust tobacco.

HoneyDice

  • 3% JF Honeydew
  • 2% TFA Honeydew
  • 1.5% Cap Bavarian Cream
  • 1% WS23

This is my version of some commercial juice somebody asked me to try and clone. Still a bit of a work in progress. He tried it and said it was touch creamier than what the actual juice was but this version is damn good as is.

Hop Along Sally

It’s great as is, but I think possibly flopping some of the percentages around might help the Cap Sweet Tangerine shine thru a bit more. Out of curiosity sake, I’m gonna try a different version with 2% Yakima Hops, 3% Cap Sweet Tangerine, and 1% TFA Honeysuckle.

I’m still testing out Long Beach Island (LBI) . I’m very happy with where it’s at, but I’m going to try one different version and bump the Basil to 1% and Lemon to 3%.

I’m still patiently awaiting for Cabin by u/AlfredPudding to steep out, but tasting it along the way, first impressions are very promising, “mouth sex” as i put it to u/isuamadog. FLV Apple Filling is a fantastic choice and the tiny bit of tobacco from Virginia Tobacco plays off the apple filling so damn well. I’m very excited about this recipe.

Another week of enjoying the community's amazing recipes, I feel so blessed to be able to mix so many of your amazing creations.

Hop Along Sally, from the crowdsourcing game recipe thread, is really quite delicious and a tribute to what can happen when great minds each contribute one ingredient to a mix. 3% TFA Honeysuckle, 2% FLV Yakima Hops, 1% CAP Sweet Tangerine.

I've been enjoying some of u/AlfredPudding's lesser known recipes on ATF. His Holy Trinity Ice Cream is creative in its use of ingredients I don't normally associate with ice cream recipes, such as the cheesecake trinity and WS-23. That creativity sets it apart, as I don't see myself vaping any other ice cream flavors in the near future. It also makes me wonder why I don't see cooling in every ice cream recipe, as it works perfectly here. Alfred’s Pudding is every bit as good as I expected from a man with that moniker. And finally, Lemon Curd Cheesecake is right up there with /u/Coop34's Kiwi Cheesecake on the top rung of my pile of cheesecake recipes.

In non-Alfred-related news, Butter Almond Custard is really damn good after a couple of weeks. Buttery, rich, and smooth, this is a delicious recipe I'll be keeping around.

It's an older recipe by ATF standards, but I recently got around to trying u/id10-T's Abdc, and it's fantastic.

Did I say I didn't see myself vaping any other ice cream recipes? I lied. Caramel Swirl Ice Cream is another great ice cream I discovered this week. The balance of vanilla ice cream with sweet, rich caramel is very seductive.

KRUCIAL ¡¡¡¡Strawberry Margarita!!!! nails the non-alcoholic part of the profile perfectly, and it's delicious.

Sugar Cookies & Cream is simple, well-balanced, and a great foundation for more complex recipes. I don't have enough experience to trust any of my creations that don't borrow heavily from more experienced mixers, and I can definitely see this being very useful.

You’ve been busy this week!

Tell me about it! I still had so many long-desired flavors that I hadn't had a chance to use since my most recent order, and many of these showed me just what the new ingredients had to offer.

I'm so happy you've been enjoying my creations! I stole that Cream/Vanilla Swirl base from Rin's Blueberry Ice Cream recipe, and I love how simple and delicious it is. I need to start trying out some of those 123 recipes soon.

Mostly I'm using my own recipe.

Feel free to try it if you like menthol juice!

My first proper DIY juice. Cherry Cola:

5% FA Cola

2.5% RF Cherry

1.5% TPA Champagne

0.5% Koolada

3mg Nic

Still experimenting. I'll probably drop the cola a bit and increase the cherry a little. Overall it's a good mix for me to hit hard when I've had a few beers. I'll save the premium stuff for when im sober.

Well, you could replace the RF cherry with 2% LA Cherry. I don't recall the off-taste associated with RF, but the white rum flavor of LA Cherry would work with a cola...

Banana Grandma. It's not right to call it "my" recipe, it was more of a crowd-sourced recipe. But I love it.

This was after a week of trying only a few flavors that were new to me, TFA Western, TFA Cubano Type, FLV Sweet & Smokey Tobacco. Sweet & Smokey - Hell yes. Western - Nah, but really it makes me wish FLV had tobacco with a good leathery note anywhere in their lineup. Cubano Type - No, unless you like licking a week's worth of dirt off a bell pepper farmer.

This week I'll step it up with a bunch of INW flavors /u/chemicalburnvictim forced me to buy and hopefully have time enjoy some more of his recipes as well.

Slowly vaping through a 30ml of The Count. I'm not a huge fan of cereal vapes so far but this is pretty good. Maybe a bit too much meringue though as I'm getting a bit of a funky taste like TFA Sweet Cream. Actually this tastes almost like a mix of Sweet Cream and FA Chocolate.

I've also been vaping some solo flavors: TFA Caramel, SC Lemon, FE Lemon, and FE Sweet Rice. Love the sweet rice but hate the caramel. Their Caramel (Original) is sooooo much better.

Do try /u/ID10-T's 2019 version of Green Tea Kitkat. Currently vaping it right now, big improvement on the old recipe.

Not my recipe. It's a shake and vape called "Best Damn Pink Lemonade":

0.75% (FA) Lemon Sicily 6% (LA) Lemonade 2% (TPA) Raspberry (sweet) 1% (TPA) Strawberry (ripe)
80/20 3mg

Been browsing pretty much every old montly recipie thread, found some gems that I adapted a bit (mainly because I was missing a flavor or two).

First out a banana milkshake, can't seem to find who originally posted it, but I remember they had some banana flavor that I didn't have, so just upped banana cream a bit, also added WS23. It ended up very tasty!

7% TFA Banana Cream
3% TFA Marshmallow
3% TFA Vanilla Swirl
1% TFA Cotton Candy
1% WS-23

Second was Berry Blast from Goldfish, don't have CAP Harvest Berry, so replaced it with FA Forest Fruit Mix. I also made a remix at the same time (just to compare side by side), which actually liked a lot more (just cuz HS Bluberry!).

3% JF Sweet Strawberry
2% FA Forest Fruit Mix
1% HS Blueberry
0.5% JF Blueberry
0.5% FA Marshmallow
1% WS-23

Found the diyordie strawberry jam monster clone on ATF and decided to give it a try but added 2% WF Croissant. What I ended up with is a tasty croissant with a sweet strawberry jam on top. Pretty good stuff!

How's that mango?

It’s the only mango I’ve tried, but it’s definitely the star of the recipe. Very juicy and good representation of what a ripe mango tastes like.

Nice!

I love mango, usually mix cap sweet mango and FLV mango, and have a few different ones...

Glad you could get some use out of the flavor. It was certainly being wasted on me, hidden away in a little box under my desk, with the rest of the NN vials (most of which I've yet to try)

How far will you be able to stretch that 5ml?

Currently vaping a one shot from k boom (raspberry invasion) I think I should have used more concentrate because the flavor is relatively weak. It's a very nice flavor though like a candy raspberry.
