(CAP) Fizz Pop
submitted over 6 years ago by Dbevis92

First post, apologies if it's in the wrong place.

So im trying to create a fruit apple cider that of a similar taste of Kopparberg ect...

I'd like to recreate the fizz in it and already heard of champagne and the like to achieve this. Flicking through Chefsflavours I found Capellas Fizz Pop Euro Series in the Just In/New page. I've had a flick through this reddit to see if there had been a review on it already and can't find anything on it. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this as of yet?

If not i shall purchase some and let you guys and girls know.

Cheers in advance.

I have never uses the cap fizz pop, when I'm trying to add a fizzy feeling I use soda base, sour and lemon all in small proportions as the soda base isnt very effective on its own. What I believe this trying to replicate is a sour tingle on the tongue. Ive never tryed champagne either but I have read several places it can add the the desiered effect. I also add sweeter to off set the sour (cotton candy and or super sweet).

No doubt. I was steppin' in high cotton until I decided to have a few cocktails and didn't tighten the lid all the way. Now it's flatter than fuck.

We got it in here, and my co-worker mixed at a REALLY high percentage. We just vaped a bit and we could taste other elements of the enhancer like a sweet syrupniess often associated with soda syrup , yet no fizz. I'm going to mix up a root beer float recipe and use it at about 1.5-2% and see how it shakes out. I'll report back if its fizzy or not.

Also, what would you recommend ?

1- Going straight in with a certain percentage mixing with my desired mix?

2- Mixing with just VG at different percentages to test first?

i love cola flavor. Champagne is great but too much is overpowering like maybe 2% have fun mixing mate.

I could be wrong, but I think I’ve heard them use fizzy sherbet for that as well. I don’t have it but I think it’s the one from Australia that makes it...no doubt available at Chefs....;)
