DESCRIPTION:
A creamy melon mix with the right touch of rind to make it extremely authentic and "fresh" tasting. Rose Essence really distinguishes this mix from other fruit mixes & tastes like it was created for the sole purpose of living amongst the melons.
RECIPE:
FLV CANTALOUPE 1%
FLV HONEYDEW 0.7%
FLV MELON RIND 0.35%
FLV ROSE ESSENSE 0.8%
FLV SWEETNESS 1%
FLV WATERMELON 0.6%
FLV WILD MELON 1.2%
NOTES: FLV Honeydew has got to be the best fresh Honeydew on the market. These new FLV concentrates are potent, so low percentages are a must.
FLV Cantaloupe is added both for creaminess & for filling out the Honeydew in terms of body.
FLV Watermelon was included here to bring out that "fresh fruit salad" flavor. This flavoring isnt very potent. But regardless, I kept it low so as to not take the spotlight away from the honeydew.
FLV Wild Melon I never get sick of this flavoring. Very fresh tasting and not too strong at this percentage.
FLV Rose Essence and FLV Melon Rind: Let me start out by saying that I despise florals. I've just never appreciated them. But, FLV's Rose Essense seems to have infused itself inside of the rind layer somehow. Combined, they also produce a "wet" feel. The mixture of these two concentrates is...magical.
FLV Sweetness is the best sweetener for this mix.

...as a side note, these new flavors are so "buildable" that the only limit to their use is your own imagination. Seriously...they all seem to bring something new & unique to the table. I'm still experimenting but so far, I am really enjoying creating new and exciting combos!

How did you decide to use the rose this way? Did you have help? Are you just a great cook or have an acceptional pallet? Does Flv sponsor you? ( just nosy I think it’s great if they are but you don’t have to answer if u don’t want to) You’re not Smokey from Elr that does all Flv recipes are you? Thanks for all your delicious looking and more importantly very fresh looking recipes! New concentrates and profiles it’s a welcome change imo....;)
How did I decide to use Rose Essence like I did? Watch the movie "Inception". Did I have help? I dont know that I've ever asked anyone for "help" with my recipes. Maybe if I did, they would taste better & my mixes would be more popular lol! I don't "do" elr. I'm not 'smokey'. Sponsored by FLV? Sounds very cost efficient. More likely, FLV gives new flavorings to well-known mixers before they're released to the public.
