Curious if anyone had any new concentrates where they used single flavors as stand-alone? Also maybe admit if it was good/fair/bad or horrible?

Example1: FLV Morning Mimosa 1.5% in 70/30 VG mix. Rating - Fair
Taste like it needs a bit more tang or tangerine/orange flavor but can definitely vape it. Re-buy? Maybe within the next year. It's not a high priority.
Example2: TFA Ripe Strawberry 5% in 65/35 VG mix. Rating - Good
Not suggesting this for strawberry lovers because of how varied the spectrum is. People often are looking for a specific kind of strawberry flavor. Tastes good, but gets boring, so definitely not an ADV.

DISCLAIMER: Not looking for the recipes or even concentrate reviews, per se. Just wanting an idea of what kinds of things people are enjoying in for their simplest (stand-alone) mix.
FLV Red Burley 3.5%
My man. Red Burley might be my favorite FLV tobacco so far. Real good single flavor. Even better mixed with FLV Cured or Kentucky.
It's really fantastic. The three you mentioned make an awesome base too. Any combination of them really.
FA Glory at 2%, actually prefer to mix the Glory as a standalone instead of using it in recipes. I like to steep it for about a week. I find it to be a nice nutty flavour that isn't too sweet and has some throat hit too.
TPA Horehound at 5% when I am feeling for something more fresh and simple. Really nice herbal anise/licourice with a bit of menthol.
FA menthol 1-3% or equivalent when I am having vapers tongue or having a cold.
I also enjoy FA King at 3-4%, but I guess this flavour is more in the FAs "one-shot" category, so I am not sure if it is good for this thread.
Had to search online for FA Glory... never seen/heard of it until you posted! As to one-shots, technically, they're a flavor concentrate. It's like getting Forest Berry or Caramel Cappucino... you know it's a combination of their base flavors, but still considered a "single" flavor you can buy, right?
I guess Glory is not a very known/popular flavour from FA, supposed to be a tobacco flavour, but I do get more of like roasted peanut flavour than tobacco, but still not quite roasted nut. Anyway, one of my favorites.

I do know that one-shots are just flavours mixed together to create a concentrate, that would be a "complete flavour". For some reason I read the OPs post so that this thread would be focusing on single flavours as in so that do people only mix some very simple flavours ex. single strawberry etc. But yeah, of course one-shots are a single flavour in a way. Maybe it was because I was posting before my morning coffee, as I am now, so this post will most likely be a bit confusing too...
LOL. Well, every company selling concentrates seems to offer a complete flavor. And it's an extension of whether sweet or menthol is a flavor. Since a chef's preparing a food dish with various kinds of "foods", it's still a particular dish that you can order. Which means my post now may be more confusing than any of yours. But hopefully the point is there.
Vape Train Yogurt Drink
Yogurt drink? Didn't know you could drink yogurts. Maybe just what they call it? And just watched a video yesterday from DIYorDIE that covered obscure/underrated flavors and there was a yogurt included in it... can't even remember the name. of it now. BAH!
So IRL a yogurt drink is a thinner, drinkable yogurt. Kind of like a real creamy smoothie. The Vape Train Yogurt Drink is a really tasty creamy flavor with lemon notes throughout. I usually add a tad bit of CAP sweet cream and a fruit to pair with the lemon notes but it can definitely be vaped by itself and still be a super tasty vape!
There are some great single flavors that I've enjoyed very much, but by the time I'm through vaping 10 to 30 mls of them, it would be boring for me to do it again. Like, ever. I want to mix and play.
The only exception is FLV Pink Guava. Sometimes if I'm super lazy, busy with life, hate everything I have mixed up, or if I've worn myself out trying a bunch of different things or assessing the slight differences in different versions of the same recipe, I'll just mix up 3% FLV Pink Guava.
It's sort of like taking a little vacation from mixing when mixing starts to feel more like a job than a joy. I call it going on a Pink Guavacation.
Sometimes I'll add some sweetener or WS-23 to it as well, does that still count as a single flavor?
Happy Cake Day!

Hmmm, guess flavor can be pretty subjective. I typically wouldn't call sweetener a flavor as much as an effect or enhancer? Guess the same goes for menthol/mint or cooling agents. And in some cases, it could be hair-splitting. I suppose if TFA's Cotton Candy only seemed sweet to someone, it would be flavor-less. Maybe that's not a good example. They can apparently add various flavoring to cotton candy, so again pretty subjective on what additives there are.
Fa fuji 4% Fa cola 4% Fa mad mix (red bull) 5% Fa hypnotic myst 3% Menthol 1-5% Tfa bubble gum 4% Cap harvest berry 5% Cap vanilla custard 10%
Wow! You've got quite a few in your arsenal. That's kind of surprising.
Simple mixes are good while you learn to build good flavour combos. I have a lot of 2 flavour and 1-2-3 recipes too. I like to taste new concentrates I get alone to get a good idea of what they are like. Sometimes you just need a quick easy juice to mix things up. A lot of beginners appreciate simple flavours while they adjust and get some taste and smell back after smoking too in my experience
I've always wondered if stand alone mixes are even viable.. as someone that uses one shot concentrates I've never really bothered to mix my own stuff or try buying single flavorings
I once bought a single flavoring that was "cherry cola" (still have half a bottle) mixed a large batch.
It smelled exactly like cherry cola and it tastes like it on the first puff but for some strange reason the second puff always tasted off with a weird after taste so it was unvapable for me.
It was a shitty brand though don't remember the name and too lazy to look
You bring up a great point. Seems like there are some that taste really good early on and then after that it "changes" somehow with off-notes. Was never a fan of cherry colas, but have to say that Cherry 7-Up was a favorite drink of mine for a while. Cherry and ~~syrup~~ cola reminds too much of cough syrup maybe? Is that the weird note you were getting?

EDIT: Strike-out and added italicized.
From the responses received on this post, seems like they are not only viable... but enjoyable. Just not a predominant way to go. Someone else stated it pretty well... if you're into DIY, part of the joy is working up a recipe and finding that perfect mix.... like a gourmet chef. Except it's with vjuice for vaping versus food for the palate. Guess that makes it harder to achieve greatness with vjuice if you don't have the side-effect of a full stomach? :)
Liquid Barn Bakerstouch. 60pg 30vg freakin love it. If I remember right LB’s graham cracker and waffle are winners too.
TFA Hawaiian Drink - 8% in a 90/10 VG mix. Rating - Fair
Its got some hawaiian punch to it, but it wasn't that great on its own. Once I added 2% each of CAP Golden Pineapple and Juicy Orange...WHOA, this is straight Hawaiian Punch, love it.

CAP Double Apple - 5% in 90/10 VG mix. Rating - Spectacular
I love this flavor on its own, but I'm at the point where I find some way to mix it into almost all of my complex recipes. It just has such a great crisp aroma and a little sweetness. LOVE IT.

TFA Grape Soda - 5% in a 90/10 VG Mix. Rating - Very good
I basically vaped this as an every day vape for 2 month straight last year. It's just rock solid.
Just following your response, /u/juthinc says warm grape flavor doesn't work for them. Are you vaping at cool temps for this or adding Koolada/WS-23? Pretty ~~cool~~ great if it does it all on it's own.
CAP Lemon Meringue Pie - 5-6%, 70/30. Delicious. Better after a week or two steep. Surprising full for a single flavor. Tastes pretty spot on to LMP. I like to mix a little bit of CAP NY Cheesecake with it for added tasty-ness.
FLV Cured - 4%, 50/50. Great for MTL. Tastes very similar to FLV Kentucky but without the dirty ash layer. Very robust tobacco flavor.
FA Fuji - 3%, 70/30. Fantastic Fuji flavor. Little dry on it's own, which is why I usually add a little INW Cactus to juicy it up a bit. Very good on its own, but not quite an ADV.
Edit: Also, INW AM4A - 3%, 50/50. The sweeter side of tobacco, really good after at least a 3 week steep. Too much of a sickly sweet taste before that, similar to FLV Red Burley. I like to mix those together too.
Thanks on the head's up about FLV Cured not having the ashy taste! Sounds ideal for a particular mix.
Imo 4% FLV cured is throwing money out the window. Start at 0.5% and see what you think. I've used it as low as 0.05% in mixes and it still came through.
Noticed a lot of people have a big difference on how much flavoring they want/need in their final DIY outcome. Just did a fruit mix that seems pretty weak, which is probably is weak on the percentages, yet was afraid to overshoot it and get vapor's tongue from it quickly.
4% INW grapes
Its better with cooling, tho. Warm purple doesn't taste right.
