This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the March Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread
Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.
If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.
Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping!
Happy Vaping!
Been vaping two really surprisingly good vapes.
I finally tried GIGI by u/juthinc. Didn’t think I would like it very much but it’s fantastic. I really didn’t care for grack much. Something about the changes made this totally palatable. And I thought the high coolant would be off putting but I’m enjoying it quite a bit. Already knocked back 15ml in one sitting.
Also finally tried warm cinnamon apple cider by u/kindground. I guess my mixing game is getting better since I knew when I read it that I would like it but I just never got around to mixing it. Unfortunately I had to sub out the tangerine for cap sweet tangerine and low balled it at 1 to be safe. Still was amazing. It’s exactly as advertised. The Apple is so full and perfectly sweet perfectly spiced. The only thing missing is a hint of booze (hint hint, wink wink).
I’ve got a few others steeping that I’m excited to try. Finally mixing up some from last year I should really have made time for before now.
Whats with this trend of people making GIGI and expecting they won't like it? Is it just the grack haters, or do people doubt my skills or what?
Honestly was super not impressed with grack. It actually was one of the first major disappointments in mixing after buying some ‘weird’ flavors to make it. I also thought I didn’t like cactus as a flavor afterwards until I tried hop spit so I never imagined grack could be improved to be enjoyable at all.
I also have some apple blossom ready for tomorrow and only another three and a half weeks to wait for Silk Road to finish steeping.
Really glad to hear that you liked the cider. The HS Apple Mix really makes that recipe sing. I knew when I first tasted it that it was suited perfectly for this.
This is actually a rather exciting week!
I’ve got some 2am going, which is a collab between u/isuamadog, u/AlfredPudding, and myself. It is a wonderfully amazing Fizzy Pineapple, Pink Guava and Lime.
I’m also vaping a little something I’ve whipped up, Long Beach Island or LBI, which is a Lemon Basil IceCream and it’s sooo freakishly good.
As usual there’s some CinnAppleCream floating around somewhere and I’ve got some Strawberry Shorty going too.
I’m impatiently waiting on some Cabin from Alfred to steep so I can dig into it. First impression smells ahmazing.
Honestly I recommend tasting that cabin as it goes. It is such a good mix.
Also my barber is the only person I know who vapes and he loves both frosted lime cookie and 2am.
Well you don’t gotta tell me twice. I’ll be rewicking for it when I get home.
Ha I actually let one of my employees try 2am today. He said “there’s a fruit orgy in my mouth”. We dun did good.
Damn that’s hilarious.
I think half the fun of cabin is watching the magic happen. It tastes like separate flavors that compete or play and then one day it melds into something new completely. If 007 Cola weren’t already amazing, I’d call u/AlfredPudding genius for this one alone.
That LBI sounds soo nice for spring and /u/EdibleMalfunction vouches for it too! If you share the recipe when you're ready, I'll be trying that.
I’m a serial “this isn’t good enough” mixer, especially when something turns out really well on a first attempt. So I’m not 100% dedicated to it as I wanna try a few different tweaks before finalizing it buuutt...
Here’s where I’m at so far
LBI
0.75% (FLV) Basil
2.5% (FE) Lemon
3% (LB) Vanilla Ice Cream
2% (TPA) Vanilla Swirl
Thank you so much for sharing it!! Looks really nice, so appealing. I know what you mean: Those surprise first tries are the best! And sometimes hard to top, in the end, but it sure is fun trying. I love basil and I haven't used my FLV Basil yet--I'll mix this this week for sure.
3.5% FLV Root Beer
2.5% Cap VBIC
Not bad, but could definitely be better with some support.
SFT RF oatmeal cookie and deep fried cookies and cream
A blueberry cheesecake comprised of their respective trinities
And, because of all the love u/iD10-T had for it, Smooth by Tootall (that peanut butter oatmeal cookie thing). The praise was well deserved.
I’m so glad you enjoyed that Tootall recipe. It’s even better after steeping for 2 weeks. What do you think about trying it with quite a bit more oatmeal cookie and maybe a little less PB?
I saw on a different post you suggest something like that, and even replacing some of the cream component to more closely resemble a Little Debbie. There’s a lot of nostalgia there since I used to watch my dad consume those in a single bite. I definitely think it’s worth exploring. Have you done any messing around with that, yet?
That is what I was thinking. It's delicious as it is but I would like some more oatmeal cookie.
Black Currant Ice Cream. Tastes like Band-Aids. Hugely disappointed with this one since the knuckle test and reviews were so stellar. I need to do further testing to see if I can isolate the cause of the Band-Aid taste. I could not finish the 30ml. Suspect FA Lemon Sicily is causing the problem because I can't vape it with Blueberry flavors either.
Orange Glazed Donut. I think this is an older recipe based off the 11 ingredients and 20.5% flavoring. I thought it would suck hard but it's actually really well balanced. That said I think the main reason this is vapable is because of the CAP Sugar Cookie being awesome as usual. I finished the 30ml no problem but won't mix again. If you're looking for an orange dessert vape I think Bloody Custard is a much smoother recipe if you can get past the funk of FA Orange.
Completed Single Flavor Testing: VT Golden Syrup, TPA Orange Mandarin.
You think that bloody custard, minus the orange, would make a good custard stone?
Yes because then it's basically the same recipe as 3-2-1 Creme Brulee. If you want more caramel you could try Holy Holy Custard. Those 3 recipes are very similar.
Working on a clone of one of my favorite juices, Mum's Elixer Beast Mode, with a little twist.
All flavors are TFA
5% Pomegranate
3% Honeydew Melon
4% Papaya
3% Cantaloupe
1% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Getting close to me desired flavor, but I think next mix I'm going to eliminate the Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and drop the pomegranate and honeydew by 1% each
> 4% TFA Papaya Holy crap
I've heard it's really strong. This is my first time using it. I think the honeydew melon and ice cream kind of tames it a bit. It'll probably pop out more when I reduced the homey dew and eliminate the ice cream. Which is what I want
Yeah it might mellow it out or just work really well with the other flavours. I love papaya in real life but this flavour can be pretty gross if it is too high, it tastes to me like you put a whole papaya in a blender (including the skin), it has a green skin like taste to me. I've heard it can be ok when used very low but I haven't got around to playing with it much.
This is my go to car vape. If you like apples you should give it a go. Its tough to get the real sour without going overboard. I just got in a new shipment of flavors so I might change it up and see how lime tahity cold pressed addition makes it taste, but as of right now its still quite fantastic. This was my shot at a sour apple belt.
