If you hate the new name, blame /u/OdieDoodah for suggesting it needed to be changed to something more specific and attention grabbing! ;)
And reply to this comment to let me know what you think either way.
And if someone likes the new name - do I get the credit? grin
btw - I like it! It's clear, concise, and to the point.
No, I'm pretty sure if people like the name Apex is gonna grab the credit for having accepted your suggestion.
Don't you understand how things work yet?
This thread seems to be getting long in the tooth. Maybe time to hit the reset button?
This is fantastic Apex - a lot more accessible and easier to link to. Having it as one of the headings is a huge improvement to the site. Good thinking, massive thanks and thumbs up!
It is awesome! I like the quick link to the flavor reviews. Good to have multiple ports of entry. That in itself would answer most what are the best fruit type questions. Downside at least for me on mobile though is you back out of a flavor review it tosses you back out onto the main reddit. They really seem obsessed with Russia. But they have kittens too. Oddly enough, no russian kitties. Still great work by Apex!!!
Anyone have tips or ideas to make juice that is less likely to make a new vaper cough? Here are the things I know that can help:
Higher PG
Menthol
Adding FLV Cream to the FLV Black Tea that was making me cough
That's all I got
Any other tips? I am trying to get my husband to love vaping, and he just can't do it without coughing so far.
I know other not-juice factors are involved (equipment, technique, powering through because Fuck That to continuing smoking like an idiot... oh wait, that last one was probably just me..)
But any tips for making juices that are easier for people having trouble with this?
I think the non-juice factors have more to do with it than anything. Have you tried one of those little pod systems or at least a small MTL device? I've never handed someone who's never vaped a sub-ohm tank or RDA and not had them cough, but I've never seen someone cough on good juice in a very low wattage setting.
I have--even a Juul blows him up. I'm not sure what is going on! TBH, I think a major factor is that he doesn't actually want to quit smoking, but there is a pressing medical reason that he should, which sucks (and I won't push, but I'm ready for him when he is ready...)
He very recently asked me to develop a juice for him (he already named it; it's called Grendel)--it's his first outright request & I know he'll really try to vape whatever I come up with for that one.
any one try INW Wunder Waffle ?
I know /u/leilani_h has it and is planning to share her notes here and I think some people were talking about it on the discord server
Some people...
I've seen someone post about it. I guess it tastes nutty and it's not like their defunct original waffle.
I'm on Chefs' site and I see this
https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-keybtwmv8u/product_images/theme_images/web-New-Profile.jpg
saying we all have to register our profiles on the new site (which seems to be at the same address, unless I missed something, always possible if not probable)
since my password didn't work, I hit the 'forgot password' link in hopes that my order history/wishlist/etc would be preserved, but sadly it didn't send me a reset link (so, the site doesn't recognize my email address as an existing customer). So I will just sign up again, not a problem--just curious if anyone found a way to preserve their history, or are we all starting from scratch?
2nd question, they had a kretek (clove cigarette) concentrate that I really wish I'd grabbed; it appears to be gone--does anyone happen to recall the brand?
UPDATE: They can email you your history in .pdf, and they'll add the kretek back onto the site soon!
Well done my man.
All we need is a reminder to point people to THIS^ when they post new-user questions to the main threads.
Or, better yet, pop up a link to this thread with a preamble about "are you sure you need to post a new thread, and not just to...?" when people try to create a new thread.
You mean like the one that already exists whether in browser or any mobile app? Yeah it's working great.
I've got a bottle of pre mixed nic liquid. It's a couple of years old at least. Should I toss it or is it worth trying out to see if it's still good? 6 mg strength if that means anything.
I've also got a ton of bottles of flavors I mixed myself...some have gotten really dark and I'm inclined to throw it out. Are they even worth trying?
It depends.
If they haven't been exposed to heat or UV they could be fine. You'd have to test them. (Assuming they contain nic. If no nic, they should be fine so long as the bottles were almost completely full and were stored properly.)
As to the liquid... how tight for cash are you? Mixing 6mg/ml is pretty cheap with the base ingredients.
I just tested a bunch of mixes that definitely are more than a year old, and I was surprised that most were tasting about the same. Some fruits had faded a bit but I could still vape them in a pinch. Stored protected from light, but at room temp. So I'd test them--why not?
Mixed some fresh and its good today. Some of the darker ones I've got (like a bavarian cream and a banana cream pie and some other from mt. Baker vapor) are dark as a coke or pepsi. Definitely anything cream based looks old. I may as well mix fresh if i want something cream based.
Meanwhile i cant get these aerotank minis to work on a battery i bought last night....and im down to those because this box mod i got just randomly stopped working (button wont press down) and the B&M i got it from doesnt give a shit (got it about 6 weeks ago) and i don't have another $50-$80 to spend.
This shit was so much easier and reliable when it was shitty clearomizers on ego batteries. The fancier i get with this shit the less reliable it is and the more money i spend and i just want help kicking cigs.
/rant
I totally get that rant. I am fine using old tech and often find it more reliable. Less to break. I even have a preference for ego batteries+tanks for the most part. Top tank evod was my first thing that "worked" and honestly often still my preference though I have lots of other fancy schmancy stuff. Pods, dripping, just every form I've tried it. It goes unused. I buy most of my stuff at fasttech. And 510 batteries with passthrough charging are my favorite thing. Often end up on ebay for those.
8 vape usually has some pretty good deals on mods and starter kits. I don't spend a lot of money on my mods and stuff either, but it would be really hard for me to go back to egos/clearomizers! If you have the time to look thru all the pages at 8 vape, you may find something in your price range when you are ready to buy.
Is the Nicotine River PurNic Smooth Salts the least harsh nicotine?
I am seeking to minimize throat hit/harshness as much as much as possible.
Hi! Rookie question, I’m in a country where the flavours you guys use are not available, and shipping is a joke. I have access to the following: Cloud Vape, Clone Vape, Gargantua&Pantagruel, Tribevape, T Juice, Halcyon Haze, Vampire Vape, Rude Oil, Coil Hootch, Revolute, steamOK, Yaelik, Potion Magique. Some of these are mixes already but some also have basic stuff. Do you guys have any experience with these for mixing?
I have experience with a couple of the oneshots from T-Juice and Vampire Vapes but haven't even heard of most of the others. Have you checked Chefs Flavours to see if they ship to you? They seem to be pretty good on shipping rates and they probably have most of what you'd want.
Where you from, anyway? I might be able to page someone local who can be of better assistance.
I’m from Romania. I ordered a Moleskine journal in November and got it in March 🤦🏼♀️ and it wasn’t their fault, delivery esp international is super slow once it reaches my country
Is there any country that mail tends to get to you sooner? I ask because there are a lot of remailing services.

Is there a vendor that sells 100% VG with pre-mixed nic? I remember coming across one a few months back but I can't remember where it was from. I'm US for what it's worth. Thanks!
Did you look at this list of vendors? Pretty sure all of the ones that sell nic have the option of VG base.
You can get nicotine in whatever base you want to get it in.
I've checked a handful of sites and all I'm coming across is strictly VG without nic. I really thought it was bullcity but I was wrong.
Hi, the Flavorah flavors I've tried are hit or miss pretty much. The ones that are good are really good though. I want to get some more of their fruits to try out. Can any of you share which I may be missing out on. Potency is bonus considering their asking price. I'll post what I already have below. Thanks.
- Pink Guava
- Boysenberry
- Wild Melon
- Mango
- Peach Gummy
The first two you listed are very useful.
Other than those, the best FLV (ignoring tobacco flavors, which they do exceptionally well) are:
Bourbon
Rich Cinnamon
Fire Cinnamon
Creme de Menthe
Yakima Hops
Coconut
Sweet Coconut
Milk Chocolate
Elderflower
Basil
...you get the idea. They have many good flavors. They also have ones that taste like strawberry, peach, black licorice, and other horrible things, like fungus cereal.
FLV Fruits? Just one guy's opinion but I think the most-must-haves you are missing are: Apple Filling, Coconut, Sweet Coconut, Cranberry, and Guanabana. Yakima Hops, but I'm not sure that counts as a fruit.
If you want to drop down to the next tier of awesomeness: All of their apples except Granny Smith because that one is super harsh and Apple Filling because it was aforementioned, Apricot, Blood Orange, Cantaloupe, Cherimoya, Soursop, Lime, Peach, Watermelon. Does Blueberry Muffin count as a fruit? What about Lemonade? Raisin Rum?
Bunch of stuff in middle blah blah
Stuff you definitely want to avoid: All the cherries, Kiwi, Pear, and Nectarine.
Why are you limiting yourself to FLV
I want answers here bub, not a question...jus kiddin. I admit it was a lazy question. I wanted to spark conversation about this particular brand but o well. I got a few in mind after some reading.
Does anyone else here find TFA Pear harsh no matter what? I've used it twice myself and can always pick out the weird dry throat hit it gives me in commercial liquids now.
Try Nashi Pear by u/ID10-T. If it's anything like the real thing it's gotta be awesome.
How can I add cost of PGVG in my batches on ATF?
Also I cant find tpa strawberry lemonade - am I only one and if so should I add it in "flavors needing confirmation" list?
Kindground got you setup on your first question. I'd skip Strawberry Lemonade to be honest
Hoping this isn’t the wrong place for this but I’d appreciate some help; I got a fireluke mesh after reading some good reviews, and although it seems like a great device, the juice that I bought kills my coils. Is it pretty safe to assume the popular recipes on this subreddit are safe for wicking a tank with a hefty amount of cotton? I’m not an excessive chain vaper but this device is just sad right now and I can tell it’s whatever sweetener they’ve used and not the amount of cotton in their .15 coils. Looking forward to trying out your flavors!
That is a great tank. You either have dud coils or your juice is gunking them. Sweetener can and will gunk
Anyone have any idea where to order nicotine in Germany or Poland? I'm in Germany for a couple weeks and would like to being back some nicotine with me to Poland so I can continue my DIY instead of buying commercial.
As far as I know of, it's impossible for me to get ahold of nicotine in Poland other than 10ml nic shots. I have contacted chemnovatic as they are based in Poland but they told me they can't sell nicotine products due to regulations to anyone besides businesses. Thank you for your time.
All, I thought I came across a website at one point that would allow you to create your own flavor bases, anyone know this site?
I have some WS-23 powder and menthol crystals. I want to make each of them into a 50% solution in PG (for easy dilution as needed). I'm having trouble finding some of the information I need to make exact measurements (I refuse to eyeball it or get "close enough" to right. I want my recipes to be completely consistent.
Based on what I know, I need to know the specific gravity of WS-23 powder and menthol crystals. Menthol seems to range anywhere from 0.89 to 0.92. I guess that means I need ~45g of menthol to fill a 100ml bottle with a 50% menthol solution.
I can't find anything on WS-23 though.
It depends on if you want a percentage by volume or percentage by mass, how you calculate.
However, since cooling is always to taste anyhow, why not just pick a number? Add 50g of ws-23 powder to 50ml of pg amd call it a day. Every time you mix, use that, and your recipes will be consistent. Don't expect other people will use the exact aame cooling you do, tho... Personal tolerances for cooling vary.
I'm having some trouble with something, if someone could give me a hand. I haven't ordered anything yet because I just want to be sure I understand all the math, products and process first. I'm plugging an example recipe from the subreddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/9ddah9/simple_diy_example_and_price_breakdown/
into the steam engine e-juice calculator. Here is my screencap:
https://imgur.com/a/JceBErT
based off of the totals that he gave in that recipe but for a 30mL sample bottle, using the following bottle of nicotine:
https://imgur.com/a/KPVOdTa
and it is giving me an invalid calculation on Steam Engine. I know it has to be something about my nicotine levels, but I don't see what I could have done wrong. The bottle says it is 50/50 (I know I had vg based in the dropdown, but I will probably go 50/50 for that) at 3mg/ml and my target is also 3mg/ml. Could someone hold my hand for a minute to explain what I plugged in incorrectly?
You would also need to pick up some VG and PG. Then you can be flexible in mixing varying nic levels and PG/VG ratios if you want. Getting 3mg/ml may sound easier, less hassle. But it limits you in other ways.
I see. So basically any amount of nicotine base I want, just obviously change the ratios at the calculation end?
Exactly. I suggested 100mg in PG because cold VG is such a pain to work with, and because that high of a strength won't require much used in a mix. .93 grams in a 30ml for example.
Those 50/50 nic bases throw a wrench into any calculator. I'm not familiar with that one you referenced, but ATF and ELR have their own too.
Rhere is no free nicotine in the universe. If you use a premixed base that is 3mg/ml and add anything to it, you will never get 3mg/ml of nicotine from the result. Likewise, if you add flavors to a mixed VG/PG base, the ratio of the two will vaey unless you use a mix of VG based flavors (which are rare and seldom worthwhile) and PG based flavors in the exact same ratio. Remember that a ratio is the total of volumes of one substance and a total of the volumes of the other substancw. Adding only one type (ie PG) to a premix will change the end result from that of the premix.
Its far easier and cheaper to buy individual components and set the calculator to determine how much of each to add to get what you want.
I don't feel like adding to the mass of shitposting to give this its own thread, but... Anyone have any flavors they just find unvapable but wish they could use?
As example... I just can't vape baked goods. I'm sure its a mental block, but the ol' hindbrain just starts screamin' "WRONG" any time I've tried. But i so wish i could just throw some Chocolate Deutsch into a tobacco mix... Not gonna chance it tho, enough to shell out for the flavor. But in theory, it'd be, well... No other way to say it but wicked awesome.
So what about it, anyone else have a similar flavor they wish they could vape?
If you want you could theorycraft some mixes with my stash and I'll ship them off to you to try out. It's the least I can do for all you've contributed here and I'd be happy to help you potentially expand your horizons without having to commit to a bunch of flavors you're unlikely to love.
I have tons of little 5ml bottles that don't get much use so I could mix up a bunch of little oneshots :)
That's a super generous offer, and quite tempting.
Yeah, I wish I could vape FA Passion Fruit because it's a great passion fruit flavor... but I cannot, because it feels like it's acting out the lust murder from Seven on my throat.
How can I save/like recipes on alltheflavors? Because I don't want to make tons of bookmarks in browser
Go to the recipe you'd like to save and click the star icon. It will save it in "My Favorites", which can be found in the Menu.
Is there a difference between flavorart custard and flavorart custard premium flavors?
Custard premium was formulated before diketones were banned in the States. Diketones give off a buttery flavor.
Regular custard was formulated after the ban without any diketones.
They're not banned in the States. There is a whole mess of drama with Flavourart North America but it has nothing to do with a ban.
Yes. FA Custard Premium contained DAAP. FA Custard is more a creamy lemon european custard.

Is there anything besides dilution that mutes coolant, The WS-23/Polar Blast pairing, in particular?
Curious if certain flavors or flavor types need a higher percentage of 23/PB to be effective, and also if those would work to tone it down if you accidentally add to much, or just don't like how cold something came out.
-
Anyone tried VT Bitters? Haven't seen any reviews besides one on a vendor site.
-
Anyone tried Nicotine River Red Sour Cherry? No reviews yet.
Coolants supposedly fade with steeping. I suspect it's more a matter of tolerance building. And concreteriver probably tried bitters already. Don't have his list of reviews handy tho.
I was reading through his stuff earlier and looked for bitters; I might have missed it--in his vt tonic water review, he mentions that the vt tonic water has a similarity to vt bitters, so that review probably is floating around in some form, somewhere.
Anyone know of a good kumquat concentrate?
If anyone would it would be /u/leilani_h, she seems to have the most random flavors from around the world.
u/apexified lol. u/kewkewmore The only one that I know of so far is from Apex Flavors aka Sterling Could on DIYVS (however it's not a flavor DIYVS offers on their site). The ingredients for both of items listed is: Kumquat Type Natural Flavor Blend contains ethyl alcohol*,* natural flavor and citric acid.
I would use the contact info available (Information for E-Cigarette and Non Food & Drink Buyers) on the Apex Flavors site to get any other relevant information, the SDS (if available), etc. to make sure if it's suitable for vaping - always do research. I would also contact DIYVS to see what their opinion is on these two flavors since they stock "Sterling Cloud" just to be sure. If it is suitable for vaping, then perhaps DIYVS can get them in or you could order it from them directly.
Apex Flavors
- 559TTB - Kumquat Type, Natural Flavor Blend
- 559BEV - Kumquat Type, Natural Flavor Blend
So basically I’m gonna be buying some juice making stuff soon, and was gonna get liquidbarn nicotine solution, but I have a few questions I hope can be answered.
What does the “strength” mean, it is measured in mg on the site, but I am unsure as to what I should get, there’s 48 and 100, so I am unsure.
I just wanna be able to make my own juice again, I vape at around 3nic strength. I previously bought from lb but I didn’t try their nic cause it confused me.
The strength is a reference to how many mg per ml of nicotine is in the bottle. You'll be diluting it down to your preferred strength in the finished liquid, using a mixing calculator like this one. Enter your nic strength and your preferred results and it tells you how much of each ingredient to add.
Also, please edit out the link as reddit has a policy against linking to vendors that sell nic. Thanks.
Hmm okay thanks, so basically if I get the higher strength nic, I can stretch it longer as long as I got enough vg and pg? Cause I was gonna buy a shit ton of pg and vg as well
It should last you quite some time if you're just mixing for yourself @ 3mg. What VG/PG ratio do you normally vape?
Also check out the List of Vendors from the sidebar if you want to compare LB to some other vendors prices (hint: NicRiver has much cheaper VG from the same source)
100mg/ml will last you longer than 48mg/ml. You will need to shake the shit out of it though. It won't be by much but you will need a little more PG &/or VG because of that level of concentration. No biggie because nicotine costs so much more than PG/VG. I can't get 100mg/ml because anything over 50mg can't go onto an airplane because it's a hazardous material
How much 100mg/ml nic salt would I need to add to 120ml 3mg bottle of ejuice. To make it around 30mg nic?
~~36ml is the answer~~. /u/juthinc gave the correct answer, I misread the question. My bad.
To figure out the answer if your parameters change you can use a calculator like this or this.
Thank you very much those calculators seem simpler than the steam engine one. I'm trying to go through my stockpile of juice I already have before I really get into making diy. I have everything I need to diy though just still researching recipes and calculators
Best starter kit for diy to get; 50 dollar one from nicrivers, 75 dollar ish one from myfreedomsmokes (if you choose the odorless tasteless nicotine option), or somewhere else entirely?
I liked that I could choose my specific flavors with nicrivers, but I don't know if it comes with enough bottles and measuring equipment and such. The myfreedomsmokes kit seems to, but I'll likely have to order some flavors from elsewhere as well (buying them based on a few recipes; not random)
Also, anyone know the cheapest place to import FA custard premium? Someone said chefsflavours, but I can't find it listed on their site, and I'm worried if I try to buy direct from FA they'll say something like "oh you're in the US? Piss off"
Simple answer is don't buy a starter kit. They are all based around measuring by volume when you should be mixing by weight. It's faster, cheaper, more accurate, no clean up and did I mention cheaper? You can get a better bang for your buck ordering separately. There are many threads that go over all this as well as all the resources in the side bar. Also what is the deal with custard premium? I have it and it's good but not something I would fuss over especially on a first order.
Mixing by volume vs mixing by weight should make little to no difference. What am I, a baker? The density of everything involved is relatively similar.
In all seriousness, there should be no discrepancy; were not working with varied temperatures or packed vs unpacked material. Right? The end result should be the same regardless.
It won't make a difference, theoretically, if you get every last drop out of whatever you are measuring in. Bottom line is it's much much easier, faster, and more accurate to mix by weight. Less clean up. Less money in the garbage when you realize you should have started with weight instead of volume and have no use for the volume crap you bought. By all means you do whatever you want with your money and time. But all the people here telling you to mix by weight aren't doing it because they're sponsored by the scale company or something. We have mixed countless gallons of juice, much of it 10 or 30 mls at a time, and the vast majority have chosen weight.
Ever triedbaking? Ever put molasses in a measuring cup? You notice how it doesn't come out and sticks to the sides of the cup? In making juice we deal with similarly viscous liquids. That's why measuring by weight is better - when you measure how much you add to the bottle on the scale, you know how much actually went in the mx, without worrying about how much ch stuck to various measuring devices. And as a added bonus you don't have to be the cleaning bitch later.
Starter kits are bad, m'kay?
And what you want from chefs should be listed as flavor creative.
They have both but they are out of stock. Still don't get the hard on for it though. It's good but not good enough to jump through hoops for.
I'm curious as to how they are bad? It will undoubtedly be more expensive to buy all of the glasses and bottles individually, would it not considering I'd want a decent amount of time of them to start, but not enough for a wholesale order by any means?
It's not the pg, vg, nic, or flavors I'm worried about; it's all the miscellaneous shit I need to use those. Ie containers and such. Dropper bottles. Glassware.
Unless you know of something better at a retail level? Telling me this is a bad idea while not telling me what a good idea doesn't really help me here.
Appreciate the bit of info on chefs listing though very much
Starter kits usually include far more PG than you would need for the quantity of VG. They usually including de nonsense involved in volumetric measurement rather thanby weight,so things there are no use for, like syringesal and GCs. It's more cost effective to buy VG, flavors, nic, bottles, and a scale seperately. Flavors are generallly sold in bottles with fine tips (unless you buy bulk flavors which shouldn't be done at first, except maybe for WS-23 if you like cold juices.. But for one ounce or less, your flavors are in bottles such that you follow this process:
- Put bottle on scale and tare.
- Squeeze in appropriate weight of nic as directed by ATF mix page.
- Squeeze flavors into bottle, again in correct weight as displayed.
- Add VG. (Condiment bottle works well).
- Remove from scale. Cap. Shake it like a baby that ows you money.
- Label it, including "Open on date" if it needs steeping.
- If steeping is required, put it in cool dark place and fuggedaboutit.
How much % of TPA Vanilla custard would you add to 50/50 mix on MTL higher ohm coils?
Pod or MTL atty?
Also I wouldn't add TFA VC at all. There are much better Custards.
i have 30 mls several bottles that are 75vg.
i want to dilute the VG to 60 from 75.
but i want to test on 10mls first to see if the flavors lost or is it too runny?
how much PG do i add to 10ml to dilute it to 60vg?
would be thankful for any help since this is my 1st time doing any type of DIY
/u/juthinc is the master of mixing math and wrote this guide to help you figure out the answer (he might also come along and do the math for you)
I'm curious why you want to change the ratio. If you're having trouble with wicking it might work better to add a few drops of distilled water to the 10ml tester and see if that works. The reason being it wouldn't dilute the concentration of your flavor/nic as much but would have similar results on viscosity.
Will this thread topic be recurring weekly or monthly, or will this exact thread stay pinned?
I’ll be updating the links but there’s no reason to refresh the thread weekly anymore... that I can think of.
Are Bonita fish big?
It's bonito, and they're basically the smallest tuna. Not really huge. https://goo.gl/images/J6Q4zA
How long do you keep your flavors for? I've been mixing for about 2yrs and have always just keep them till they run out. I've got some that are coming up on 1yr old and the flavor is muted. Is that more of an age problem or a problem of unsteeped juice. The recipe is 5% Cap Golden Pineapple and 5% TFA VBIC.
That recipe wouldn't really need a steep.
5% of Golden Pineapple is too much. If you use it over 2 or 3% it has a tendency to mute itself. It's also a weak standalone pineapple. It's best used with INW Pineapple.
1 year is old for flavors, but if stored properly, they should be fine
Made my first bottle today! It’s terrible. I wanted to make s’mores and I used graham cracker 3% double chocolate clear (what’s the difference between clear and not clear?) and marshmallow (both of those at 6%)
All of the flavors are FA. It’s 70/30 and it just tastes weird. I didn’t steep it and I am doing that from now. Will it get better? Will it always suck? How long should I steep?
**Edit Thanks to /u/mixmintress I found this which looks like the recipe that could work for me. http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/18525/Campfire%20Clone
Try cutting it in half with unflavored, try it then, and then also let that steep for a week. Chocolate is notoriously tough to work with, but this might be better!
Marshmallow ime isn't bad as a single flavor; if you only have those 3 flavors, I'd mix up a single flavor test on all 3, and the marshmellow I think you could vape today.
Put your flavor inventory into an account (free) either at ATF or ELR,

and you'll be able to get suggestions for recipes that you can make using what you have. Trying a few well-established recipes when you're starting out can really boost your confidence with it and teach you a lot. Also there's a weekly thread here that you can list your flavors in, and people will suggest things for you to make.

Thank you so much for your reply. I bought a whole lot of flavors actually that I thought would be good. Some of them were my preference, and some of them were from a thread of first purchase recommendations. That site and thread where I can get recommendations based on what I have sounds great. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
I started out on ELR and I finally just made an actual account on ATF yesterday--they are both really useful sites! ATF is more used these days it seems, and it has a lot of features I didn't realize it had (like you can forward your order emails from vendors to your ATF account and it updates your inventory). I'm sure I'll still use both!
I think you mean TFA and those percentages are way too high. TFA Marshmallow also isn't an accurate Marshmallow flavor. Clear is the one you want, though it's not a good stand alone chocolate flavor. You also should be using Graham Cracker Clear.
That recipe will likely never be good.
It’s TFA yeah. And they are? I thought that I should try to aim for around 15%
Also I am using the graham clear. How would you improve it?.
Also this is probably a stupid question, but is INW biscuit the same is IWN Shortbread? I'm on Vapour Depot and when I type in biscuit, the shortbread pops up.
Inawera does have a flavor called Shortbread that is different than Biscuit. Perhaps /u/vapourdepot can confirm they didn't rename biscuit for some reason... but I doubt they would.
What does INW Cactus taste like by itself?
Ok... Where can I get FLV jammy berry. Gremlin is sold out, bull city doesn't have it and even FLV doesn't have it on their site.
Its sold out on BCF. They are getting a new shipment soon
Thanks. I've heard good things. Really looking forward to the gin and bitters too... I think the bitters could be amazing with some tobacco.
So I made God's Milk that's on ATF and it tastes like strawberry milk if I were to take the powder and put it right in my mouth. It doesn't taste milky at all to me. Is this just how it tastes or did I mess something up?
Has anyone had any luck trying to make a Heisenberg-esque flavour? I really like menthol but not straight, I find it too harsh on my throat, and really enjoy when there's an almost equal sweetness from a berry or fruity flavour mixed in with it. Can anyone recommend some concentrates and how long it takes to steep a menthol flavour?
Will my mixes steep in the fridge in the same time frame? (Some of my mixes went off when I accidentally oversteeped them. Others that didn't spend a month too long on the shelf are fine. I think my Nic stash [kept in the freezer] is nearing the end of its shelf life). Thanks!
Love FA Fuji, wanting to try another apple with it.
I'd prefer something more in the juicy/cider vein as opposed to a candied apple.
Any suggestions?
Try this some time. http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/2788790/Warm%20Cinnamon%20Apple%20Cider
Add some Liquid Amber if you want cider
Really stupid question I think but when I look up recipes there there are both ML and Grams. I'm using a scale, so does that mean I should use the grams, not the ML?
I have a v12 prince and use mash mesh coils and I absolutely love them, but it seems they are not lasting very long. Took 2 days for my newest one to start to "darken". I can see darker liquid coming from the cotton and the top of the cotton coil looks very dark already. I only use 3mg nic and have been using humble juice with it. So mu question is, what juice brand works well with lenghting the life of these coils? Using 80-100Ws on my mod.
look up compatible coils list in the electronic cigarette sidebar should be able to find other coils thatll fit in that tank

new to DIY Mixing. already bought 40+ different cons from TPA,CAP,FA,FW and WF. I have a good palate for tasting foods but I can't seem to hold a grip for tasting my cons. I would like to take the challenge of analyzing the cons from Wonder Flavors since most of the cons I bought still had no flavor review on it. Is there a template/guide I can follow for doing a flavor review?
Just read any CR review
Concrete River. The man, the myth, the bl00dy legend.
For example:
Do I need to stock up on supplies if California passes the flavor ban?
i just placed an order with nic river last night now im reading all these review from two months ago where people had waited weeks or even a month in some cases for a order any recent orders from them?

Trying to slam this together https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/11104#cbbf_cinnamon_banana_baby_food_by_matthewkocanda but running into questions. LoRanns banana cream color or colorless?. ~~Cap sugar cookies and CAP cinnamon danish both come in V1s and V2s, Im assuming since recipe a couple years old they V1s?~~
EDIT: V1s and 2 DAAP difference, thought that was DX but guess thats TFAs DAAP removal
Hi guys, I just started DIYing 3 weeks ago, and noticed that I'm burning through my ejuice a lot quicker. With the store bought juice, I go through about 2 5ml tanks a day, but with my 80VG/20PG DIY juice, I'm going through 3 or even 4 tanks a day. My setup is exactly the same, and I vape at the same wattage. Am I doing anything wrong? I may need to reduce my 6mg juice to 3mg if I can't fix this problem, because I'm taking in almost twice as much nicotine this way.
Any idea what's going on? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you, guys.
You're probably not doing anything wrong. Barring any miscalculations with the nic concentration on your part or the vendor (this is why titration is a good idea) it's actually a pretty common thing for people to consume more DIY eJuice. It's usually a combination of several factors that leads to this:
- You're spending a fraction of the money to make it.
- It's a flavor you obviously enjoy.
- The nic is less oxidised, which makes chain vaping more comfortable.
- Lastly and probably the biggest factor is that you're (probably) using less sweetener which tends to quickly gunk up and reduce the ability of your wicks to absorb juice. Better wicking means faster consumption.
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I think the last point is so true. All my juices are clear in color, only a few cream flavors have a slight tint to it. My cotton stays super clean when I re-wick it, which I only do when my coil gunks up (perhaps I need to put a new one in there). Looking at my store bought juice, I'm super turned off by the bright artificial colors in there now.
Hello! I'm trying to get good flavor in DIYing salt nics. I've tried doubling the percentages and then just keeping them normal. I find nothing to be working. If anyone has advice I'd appreciate it!
What recipes are you using?
Well I've used 3 percent strawberry ripe TPA, 6 percent CAP sugar cookie, and 3 percent CAP sweet strawberry. That's one recipe I've tried to make. I doubled it. Then I used a recipe from a thread on here that I found a week ago. Strawberry trinity and cheesecake trinity and upper them by 1 percent and so far that's not too bad its got flavor but that's the only luck I've had so far with getting any flavor in mixing a nic salt.
Hi, what is a good percentage range i should keep my total flavorings at when making a recipe. Thanks
General percentage range isn't a thing. Total percentage is determined solely by the flavors used and how much of them you use. You cannot apply a total percentage before making the recipe
On a scale of 1 to dad driving the car off a bridge and killing everyone on board because are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet, how tired are you of answering this question?
I live in a country where importing the essences and nicotin recommended on this sub is almost impossible. How can I judge if a nicotin is good or bad? Same for the essence.
For nicotine, it should be on the clearer side for color. If it's dark, it's no good. Taste should not be harsh or peppery.
You cannot use just any flavor or extract. They must be the ones used by the sub.
I don't understand how these dollar juices can taste so bad. The material and even high quality essences are so cheap, they don't need to use shitty stuff to make a margin, yet they still taste like the worst of the shits
How come they must be the ones in the sub? Those are the ones everybody already approved?
Newbie here. What's the difference between VG, PG and VG/PG nicotine? I'm planning on making 70/30 so what type should I choose?
Nicotine has to be suspended in a base which is usually PG, VG, or a combination of both. Since 100% PG is less viscous than VG I believe it is the most popular, at least it is for me. You will be working with highly concentrated nicotine so you need to shake the bottle very thoroughly and VG is much thicker than PG. I'll give you a few examples of the three most commonly used nicotine bases using 100mg/mL and 48mg/ml nicotine assuming a target of 10% flavoring, 6mg nic, and a 30/70 PG/VG ratio

100mg/mL
PG% | VG% | Nic Base
---|---|----
14 | 70 | 100% PG
20 | 64 | 100% VG
17 | 67 | 50%/50% PG/VG

45mg/mL
PG% | VG% | Nic Base
---|---|----
8 | 70 | 100% PG
20 | 58 | 100% VG
14 | 64 | 50%/50% PG/VG
Is there anyone here who has ordered flavors from NicRiv since November last year? On my last order the smallest size was 10ml but now they are 15ml. Has it changed since then? What size did you receive/order?
5ml may sound small but 5ml is 50% extra flavoring for me. Multiply that by about 50 flavors I've ordered from them over the past year. That's 250ml, or 25 additional bottles I don't have.
All of my juice is harsh. The measurements on my nic is fine and it's 3mg. The nic is clear but has a slight smell to it. I tried just VG and nic and it's still harsh. But I've never heard anyone complain about their nic going bad and becoming harsh, only peppery.
Hi can anyone tell me what to replace TFA Strawberry with?
Who, what, when, where, why?
Like in a recipe with strawberry ripe and creams and stuff. I want to adhere to some recipes that have Tfa strawberry ( the top rated ones) but I might not be able to get it
I have read the beginners Q&A on recipe templates and don't know how to copy the table. Someone please help me? I am working off my phone, not a computer, in the Reddit app. TIA
It looks like this, minus the squiggly lines
~|Brand|Flavor|Percentage| |:-|:-|:-| |TPA|Vanilla Bean Ice Cream|6| |VT| Golden Syrup|3|~
see, look what happens when I erase the squiggly lines
|Brand|Flavor|Percentage| |:-|:-|:-| |TPA|Vanilla Bean Ice Cream|6| |VT| Golden Syrup|3%|
i got the 510 Central plastic bottles on Amazon and like them but how do i fill them? the tiny funnel they provide is painfully slow to fill bottles with.
can anyone recommend a good funnel with a tiny tip?
What do you need a funnel for?
To fill the bottles. They have a tiny opening.
I make my juice in other large bottles and want to transfer it to these for filling my tanks with.
Hey guys--
I'm dealing with 2 concentrates that in the single flavor tests are truly bowling me over with what I can only assume is butyric acid (Chef's Choice Vanilla Milkshake; Chef's Choice Banana Milkshake, both at 5% which was my best guess for a starting point after not too much information found).
Is the % I used just way too high?
Butyric acid gets stronger with a steep, right?
Because if these get any more vomit tasting (smell fine), I'm calling hazmat and a priest.
IME, some mixes with butryic get better with a steep. For example, Cap VC V2 isnt't a bad flavor after a good month.
