Flavor company launch dates
submitted over 6 years ago by Skineedog

Does any know of a readily available list of flavor manufacturers with the dates they launched? I am trying to clone a juice and if I knew what flavor manufacturers were around at the time the recipe was created, that might make cloning slightly easier.

FYI: The recipe I want to try to clone was launched sometime in 2013. The description at that time was: Taste like Umerica!!! it’s actually a very complex juice with cinnamon, banana, vanilla and nutty undertones. The juice is Mossey Oak by Vapor Hut

Suggestions welcome and appreciated.

A word of warning - don't get your hopes up. Even if you do find out what companies may be involved, they often reformulate their flavors. So "Banana" from 2013 may not be the same "Banana" in 2019.

Typically recipes that old are all Flavor West. I'm sure someone else will correct me if I'm wrong or other vendors were prolific at that point in time.

Yeah, I’ve heard that suggested before. I’ll post over in the clone thread tomorrow, maybe I’ll get some suggestions there... thanks.

Vendor may be even more helpful. But you may want to post this to the Clone thread as well. I'll leave this up here for the time being as I think there may still be some useful comments to others here.

When I was trying to clone Boba’s Bounty (2009) I went through a similar struggle. Things I tried: searching the diy part of ECF for the period of time that the juice was created (since its only 2013, you could probably look at this subreddit and ELR forums too.) What were people talking about using back then? Use the way back machine and see what places like ECX and Vaping Zone had in stock at the time. 2013 isn’t super old for DIY, so you’d probably be safe looking in to TFA, CAP, FA, LA, FW, and SC (or ECX.) Maybe even Hangsen. They have been around for a long time, but I’m not sure how readily available they were in 2013. Pretty sure Vaping Zone used to carry them though.

Irrelevant but worth noting as an info: super concentrated flavorings (Chinese) dates back to Nov. 2008.
