I mixed a 60ml bottle for a friend who lives across the country. If I send the juice with a letter (incase it’s intercepted by Canada Post) that says it contains zero nicotine and a is a gift, could it still be seized?
A post office I went to refused to mail my DIY juice to a freind. They claimed it was illegal. I went to the next town over and prepackaged the juice. They mailed it out no problems. Lesson learned, I box anything up before I mail it.
Screw that! I'd have CP management on the phone right in front of them if they tried to pull that shit. If it's illegal, they should call the cops, not make their own value judgements on what you are shipping.
I was mad. I explained it was going to a freind collecting liquid for our troops overseas. They run out of liquid over there and their store is very expensive. They said, "If it contains nicotine we can't send it. It's against the law." I said, you know that e liquid is flying all over the country every single day don't you? The lady just sat there with a stupid grin.
I agree but that’s their job if not them then who, lol? It’s stupid and bullshit I’m with ya but I’m just saying they’re the final judgement about what is mailed..( the post office or a business w postal service )....;)
It's not their job to enforce the law. And it's definitely not their job to make up fake laws and enforce them. If they think something is illegal, their job is to call the cops, not unilaterally impose their values. The only restriction in Canada on shipment of vaping products is on batteries (not relevant here). The law is quite clear, they have to accept anything that isn't prohibited.
Just slap a label on it that says "Anal Lube" and you're golden.
Literally anything could be seized. Up to you if you want to -right- a -wrong- through legal proceedings, regardless of if it's illegal or not.
So if I don’t put a return address and a risk of maybe losing 4$ worth of costs, it’s worth the shot?
Truth be told, I never shipped from outside the US. So I'm not sure. But honestly, you have nothing to hide as shipping juice isn't illegal, just go about your business as a normal person, no need to hide anything. And like you said, the cost isn't too high. I'd go for it for sure.
This is how I think about it - even if I do put a return address on the box, how likely is it that the postal worker/customs officer would flag and report it, and after that how likely is it that the government would go out of their way to fine me and notify me of the fine? Over 60ml of juice probably very small Chance.
It's pretty unlikely that it'll be seized. If you're worried though, send it with age verification.
