It is not a bad flavoring, but to me, they do not taste like deep fried plantains. I've eaten plantains since I was small and would eat them for lunch when I worked at my Aunt's Asian Food Market. You will taste the difference.

Plantains, have a very distinct taste and texture. Almost dense and potato like. This taste more like a cooked Banana.

I can also see the sweetness of the base making it taste like banana. Plantains aren't that sweet.

Yes. Plantains if ripe are lightly sweet. I can eat them without adding sugar or toppings - baked whole in the oven.

Meh, I'd rather have lemon personally. I hate clove and anise... But if it's in those flavors, they did it well. So good on them.

Girl. I'd rather add lemon and spices (except cinnamon - I like that) to my bakeries and creams unless it's supposed to have those flavors in them.
