VT Jam It
submitted over 6 years ago by Leilani_HMixin Vixen

🏷️ "...mimic’s the effects of a jam flavoured enhancement... a universal flavour that is intended to create the effect of a jam cooked fruit or nut...works well with citrus fruits to create a marmalade spread or glaze tasting e-juice...a preserve that has chunks or fruit surrounded by jelly. Other uses could create the conserve effect of using fruits and dried nuts in your recipe. The classic peanut butter & jam or jam filled donuts could shine by using this flavour in your recipe." - Link: Jam It

Thank you for your work. This is a good idea, taking a fruit not typically used for jams to see how the Jam It modulates the impression of flavor and mouthfeel. Thanks for the idea. I'll be excited once I start seeing this pop up in some recipes with ingenious applications.

Thank you for checking out my impression of how it works. I'd def. be interested to see how others use it also. If you get an opportunity to use it, please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for the review. Why did you choose banana as the pairing, instead of the fruits people make jam with?

u/MasterBeernuts - No problemo and good question. I wanted to use a flavor that I could clearly differentiate from the flavors I tasted in the solo testing of the VTA Jam It. Also, there are banana jams available (recipes online as well), but they are not standard at your everyday grocer.

Nice one mate. I'll have to whack it on the next order - it would be handy to see if it works as intended i.e. jam up a fresh strawberry/raspberry/blueberry/plum/boysenberry etc.

I think it's a very nice additive to have in a DIY collection for what it does for body, mouthfeel and texture instead of using the standard Marshmallows, Whipped/Creams & Custards - but note that it is not "neutral" in taste because of that passionfruit-like note. I would say, give it a go with berry flavors and other fruits, maybe even nuts; as VTA describes this additive as " ...a universal flavour that is intended to create the effect of a jam cooked fruit or nut...".

Good lord the font on Sync makes pom look like porn every single time. Mmm noticeable porn flavor 🤤

I'm gonna have to pick this up. We made a pumpkin jam last year I'd love to vape.

🤣 Ha! Now I can't un-see that.
I've never had pumpkin jam before. Oh that sounds good. Pumpkin jam with butter on toast. But yes, I think this def. could help out if your interested in experimenting making a thicker pumpkin flavor.
