Is anybody having problems applying the code NEWYEAR at check out on Nicotine River? The email I received stated the sale ends tonight at 11:59pm but when I attempt to apply the code it says it doesn’t match any active promotions. I’ve contacted support but was curious if anybody else is experiencing trouble?
EDIT: So after reviewing this thread and seeing that somebody posted a screenshot of the code working I went back and tried again (for what felt like the 1000th time) and low and behold it’s working! Maybe somebody over at Nic River took notice. Whatever the case thank you to everybody who replied and I hope anybody still having trouble gets it sorted asap.
I just filled my cart and having the same issue, so good to know I'm not alone! Looking at BCF right now.
That sucks. I put mine in successfully yesterday. Hopefully that gets fixed.
Has anyone who ordered on Friday (Dec. 28th, the first day of the sale) had their order shipped yet? Expecting a delay due to the New Year holiday, I placed my order early in the morning on Friday, but it has not yet been shipped.
This is my third order with NicRiv, with one of the other two orders also during a sale. The first order (not during a sale, order placed in the early morning) was shipped the same day, and the second order (during a sale, order placed in the early afternoon) shipped the next day.
But for this order, two business days have passed (Mon. Dec. 31st and Wed. Jan 2nd) with no update as of yet. Actually it's three business days since it was ordered before business hours on the 28th, and one of my previous orders was shipped out on a Saturday, which would be a fourth day.
They have a notice on their website now saying to expect shipping delays due to the sale and holiday, which was not there until (I think) Mon. Dec 31st. It definitely was not there early in the morning on Fri. Dec. 28th when I ordered.
Update: My order was shipped this afternoon (Thu. Jan. 3rd). So a bit longer than their usual time, but still perfectly acceptable.
Ordered on the 29th no update yet. They've been slow before during sales. Think it took a week to process
I had this trouble with the code before this one, the one that ended 12/27. I made the order anyway because it was small, but they never got back to my email, so I didn't make the order I planned to make with them this week, and went with Bull City instead. So, I don't know what's up but it isn't just you.
For whatever reason they have a fussy system and this is not an unusual occurrence...that being said, it seems to always work itself out as well. It’s just enough to get you heated and feeling like an arse if you’re like me 😂😩...honestly, their entire website isn’t a favorite of mine but luckily it works but never without me cussing up a storm before I’m done, haaa, btw..sale ends in 8 hr west coast time, Happy New Year Y’All! ....;)
Ah shit, I literally just ordered from them a few hours ago and forgot to use the code. Oh well.
I haven't ordered from NR durring a sale in a LONG time. I know they moved places and wild fires out there, but is there a window of time they usally get stuff packed and in the mail? I've only had to wait over a week once to get my stuff (From time of order, to in my hands). This is about 8 orders in a little over a year. Right now I'm on day 9 and still haven't heard anything. The site says EXPECT DELAYS so I'm not really bitching. I don't need any of the stuff right now. I'm just wondering does it usually take a couple of weeks to get a tracking number? ... Any info is appreciated!
I'm in the same boat here....ordered on the 31st and still no tracking. I did notice that some other DIY sites had only limited sales for the New Year and announced at the last minute so nic riv may have gotten the business and may be truly swamped. Lucky I don't need any of my order yet either so will continue patience.
I imagine with the holidays and then the sale they’re slammed. If it were me I would reach out if I hadn’t heard anything by Tuesday.
I just got an email from "Shopper Approved" asking me if Yes I recieved my order, or No. The no option says to do the same thing. But it also says please give 24-48hrs, like my package might just show up here. I'll have to check on it today or tommorow I guess, cuz I haven't got a tracking #.
I wanna order a diy kit but have no idea which flavors are best to start with. Any suggestions ? Also for high vg juice is is it best to get all by and order your nicotine as PG? Hoping to figure this out before code expires. To many options ahhhh!! I prefer blueberry sweet flavors, cereal vapes, cake, etc. Basically any bakery flavor I enjoy , not big on just straight fruity ones, menthols, etc.
Try the sidebar. There's a TON of resources there.
Yeah I've read it all, still unsure though.
To answer the nic question, everyone here swears by PG nic. I use VG because it's physically easier to control and I worry about splashes and spills. The flavor question is tough. There's literally a million options and my top 10 favorite bakery flavors will be the next person's least favorite 10.
Which flavors to order is something that is basically impossible to answer because it is so subjective. I'd suggest finding some clone recipes for commercial juices you have enjoyed and look at the ingredients for ideas.

I mix my juice with max VG, but use PG base nicotine. VG or even 50/50 VG/PG nicotine gets quite thick and syrupy in the freezer where you should store it, except for a small amount you take as needed. I use a small 3 mL dropper bottle that I fill halfway with nicotine, which is enough for a week for me.

Mixing this way also helps to keep things simple. Instead of aiming for a specific VG/PG ratio, I just let the total flavor concentration of each recipe determine the final ratio. Most flavors are PG base, and I mix at 1 mg/mL nicotine (1% of my mix with 100 mg/mL nicotine), so my juice varies between around 85-95% VG depending on the recipe – ones which use 4% total flavor end up being 95% VG, and ones which use 14% flavor are 85% VG.

So I just add the flavoring and nicotine on the scale, then add whatever amount of VG is needed. I never have to bother with adding both VG and PG this way.
