Weekly 'What are you vaping?' Thread - Week of December 24, 2018
submitted almost 7 years ago by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a

This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the December Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread

Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.

If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.

Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping!

Happy Vaping!

After mixing up half a dozen bottles of Viserion since it came out I finally caved a few weeks ago and mixed 120ml. Normally I vape 3-5 different recipes daily but as soon as that bottle hit its recommended steep it has been my ADV. Haven't had an ADV in about 8 years, so I'm not sure how /u/ID10-T managed to make that happen.

After about a week straight of vaping Viserion I finally took a break today to try /u/mlnikon's Blackberry Milk (a oneshot she has on Ecigexpress that I can't actually link to) and it is excellent. Very light on the milk but such a perfectly balanced and accurately represented sweet blackberry flavor without even a hint of a floral off note.

Now that I've broken the hold Viserion had on me, it's time to go mix up some of the top recipes from the monthly threads and see if I can find one that makes me not want to nominate Viserion for recipe of the year.

It's the Vanilla Swirl, I think

Just placed an order tonight that actually has all these flavors except the vanilla swirl. I'm so glad I clicked this thread before bed, this recipe looks amazing. Does the Vanilla Swirl taste like pepper? Could I sub it with LB Vanilla Ice Cream maybe? I've stayed away from anything TPA/TFA Vanilla after a terrible peppery hell experience.

Been filtering a few NETs that I started in August/September. So far I’ve only gotten 3 done since I had to do family Christmas things, and then work the rest of this week. Hoping to get through them all by the weekend though. They’ve just been single leaves that I got from Leaf Only, so they haven’t been too complex, but hopefully when they’re all done I’ll be able to build myself a nice cigar. In the meantime, I’ve been making some simple hybrid recipes with them. Did a CT Havana Prime NET with some HS RY3 and FLV Kentucky. That sumbitch was pretty good. Then did the CT Havana Prime with Brazilian Arapiraca Filler and FW Hazelnut. I think that one is going to be getting at least a 30 ml mixed up for it.

Other than that I’ve fallen quite deep in to another Boba’s Bounty hole. I ordered the last Baker Flavors Tobacco that I didn’t get with my first order (Yuco) and also picked up theirs Oak Bark just because. Also made an order with DIY Vapor Supply because I had some reward money to use up. So now I’ll have the single LIQ Tobacco they had along with the NicVape tobaccos. Have an order from Nic River coming in with the remaining TFA tobaccos I didn’t have and the Purilum tobaccos. So now I’m pretty sure I’ll have every tobacco flavor that the US vendors carry (minus the CAP and FW tobaccos because I’m not super interested.) I just need to find a place to buy the Solub Arome tobaccos that won’t be $40 for shipping and then I’ll be set.

I enjoy reading about your tobacco adventures so much. I’m surprised DIYVS doesn’t have any of the SA tobaccos, they have so many of their other flavors.

I emailed them to see if they had any plans to bring those in. Haven’t heard back :/

Good luck on your NET ventures! ; )

Thanks! When I started them all up I was really hoping I would have this whole week off work. Didn’t quite work out that way. Doesn’t make a huge difference though because they take forever to get through the damn filter. Slow and steady wins the race though.

Right now, I'm trying different variations of "1-2-3 Butter Pecan Pie" to see which custard flavor works best for the 2 when WF Butter Pecan Pie is 3 and FA Apple Pie is 1.

But I already miss Cabin by /u/alfredpudding after just polishing of 30ml of that in no time. It's fall in a bottle and I love it.

Maybe YCCB or INW Custard?

Definitely the INW

Sorry if unclear. Both are INW. YCCB is yummy classic creme brulee. I tend to acronym a lot of things that most people probably don't.

I'm vaping /u/slashalo another Blueberry donut. It's the only mix that I like that uses joy.

Jack My Strap-on, by hash. Fuckin' fire. I don't think I have the right strawberry, as the BCF description is confusing, but it's great nonetheless.

And True Kentucky, by chemicalburnvictim. Robust, smoky, delicious.

Haven't had much time to mix with all this holiday mumbo jumbo, so I'm finishing off all these random test bottles I have built up. Some are good, some are.... not so good. Live and learn, I guess.

Red touch usually just comes labeled as FA Strawberry. Red Touch isnt always on the label. So if you have that it's the same!

Yeah, that's the one. Just says strawberry on the label. I wasn't sure if red touch was something different or not.

Yeah should be the same stuff. I thought they only had 2. Strawberry (red touch) and Strawberry Juicy. But now I just checked their website and it seems they have red touch listed separately from plain strawberry. Hmmm I've always been told they're the same so that's weird .

Edit: I'm still pretty sure they are the same. At least as far as bull city goes, what they have is red touch

I've been hate vaping some unsuccessful vanilla cupcake recipes. The bar I've set for myself is too high I believe. There are several that I liked but I feel like they weren't true to the real life version. My favorite cake recipe that I've tried from others is Kopel's Birthday Time. I really like it but the Capella Cake Batter seems to have similar volatiles as their Vanilla Custard v1. Eggy and rich... Which is what I've not liked in most vanilla cupcake recipes and that I'm trying to stay away from in my recipe.

My two recent DIY vapes are pretty basic. One is TFA Crunchy Berry with a few drops of CAP Cereal 27. The other is all TFA: Banana Nut Bread, Banana Cream and Bavarian Cream mixed together. There was a recipe online (for the latter) that was referenced to get the general percentage range, but don't remember who's it was or what it was called. :(

Excited about my DIM baked apple flavor that's been steeping for about 3 weeks now that smells amazing. Just have to figure out what atty to use, clean it and re-coil & re-wick.
