Will mintiness fade with steeping?
submitted almost 7 years ago by littlemars7

I just made some juice with 10% Red Astaire flavouring from T-Juice an hour ago. I know it should steep, but I am not a patient man, so I tried a little just out of curiosity. It is way too cool and minty for me, and has a little chemical taste.

Will mintiness fade over time with steeping?

Oh so you didn't make the juice. It's a one shot. Menthol would fade after while. Mint wont

It was a 10 mg flavor concentrate, mixed it with 2 x 10 mg 50/50 pg/vg nic shots, and 70 mg of unflavored vg. It has menthol, not mint, sorry.

Yes. In my experience, anything minty will depreciate over time. I think it's because many have alcohol in the base and it evaporates but that's only speculation.

Should I take the cap off? I've heard my nicotine will also sneak away.

You can take the cap off for an hour or so and see if it helps. It shouldn't mess with your NIC too much. The concern with exposing NIC is mainly an issue regarding how you store the actual NIC itself. It's not good to continuously expose the NIC base to air as it'll expedite oxidation.

Menthol mellows over time. Leave the bottle in a cool dark place overnight with the cap off.
