I am preparing to order nic river nic salts and trying to meet their $50.00 free shipping. To do that I'll need what will be enough nic salts to last me several months. I was wondering if I stuck it in the freezer how long will it last and if storing it in smaller bottles like their Borosilicate Reagent to reduce air exposure untill I use it would make much differance.
The same any other nic base lasts in the freezer. Indefinitely. That's where you should be storing it for long term
Can you just use it out of the 150 ml jug as you need it or will the oxygen exposure significantly shorten its life vs. splitting it up into smaller bottles?
Ok, broader question because I didn't know this had a real shelf life issue.. How long do nic salts last unfrozen @ room temp?
Salts are less prone to oxidation. I've never had a bottle go bad on me, and I've never "properly" stored my salts. As long as you aren't exposing them to UV or temps higher than room temp, the salts will mostly stay unoxidized.
