What's the best way of building a good profile of flavors from different vendors (TFA/FA/ETC).
It seems most of the recent recipes have flavors from many different vendors and I've been mixing DIY for a little while, but I've only got my flavors from wiz.
Also, is the "sweetener" that most sites sell the same shit that hides the "cotton" taste on a fresh tank?
The only thing that hides cotton taste is better cotton. Cotton Bacon V2 and Cotton Bacon Prime are the best instant-use cotton I've tried.
Wizard Labs sells different brands of flavoring, no one really buys their flavors direct from the flavor houses. If you want a less confusing shopping experience(with better customer support and community interaction) try bullcityflavors.
As for the how, you just do. It's not some special process, you just throw the flavors together and pray it works out.
Ditto
Why are people down voting this?
I second bull city. I used to order direct from TPA/TFA and had no idea that other vendors had their flavors too. For cheaper even! Its exclusively the only flavor vendor i use now. Its also a great site to try other flavors from other manufacturers without having to buy a large order.

Find recipies you're interested in, and buy the correct flavors as you make them.
Not all flavors are worth having. You save a lot of time and money acquiring ones you have need for, rather than filling out gaps in your collection. Every vendor has their stinkers.

There's a dedicated sweetener thread in the Flavor of the Week collection. It's a good starting point.
Sucralose is the most common sweetener I've encountered, but there are others.
The burnt cotton taste might very well be burnt cotton. The filler in your tank needs time to absorb the juice after the first fill. Not giving it time to do so can cause scorching. Some manufactured coils also have residue or coating on the coil from the manufacturing process. I always take a few puffs without inhaling after a coil swap.
I want to start using a tank again but dripping always tastes good where as sometimes DIY on fresh tanks tastes poorly. I usually use a thick sweet commercial juice before running some thinner DIY juice
Washing your hands really well before wicking should make the 'cotton' taste go away.
Happens with fresh tanks and DIY. I usually use some store juice before DIY just to get rid of the flavor. This sub told me I don't get the flavor with the store stuff because it uses sweetener. What sweetener should I buy and use?
Sweetener masks more than the cotton flavor. It masks all flavor. If you don't care about having nuances and depth to the juices you vape, you can buy CAP Super Sweet. Premium manufacturers use it at around 3%*
*3% seems like an obscene amount for those that have used CAP SS, but I've heard the same thing from multiple BIG juice manufacturers.
