As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.
#This week's flavor is...Tropical Punch/Tropical Blends!!!
How did that get to be the FOTW?
It was requested. If you're not interested in this FOTW, please take this opportunity and comment to request one that interests you (or send me a PM to do that).

No pun?
writers are on strike again
Been working on trying to create a Hawaiian Punch Fruit Juicy Red recipe, but have not had much luck, I have the following flavors to use as the base:
Capela Silverline - Tropical Fruit Punch
Loranne - Tropical Punch
TPA - Hawaiian Drink
Flavor West - Hawaiian Islands Punch Type
To get started, I mixed a single flavor batch of each @ 4% and every one of them, with the exception of Loranne, have a strange chemical taste. I posted this question a few months ago, and u/Bassmutt suggested the following recipe to get started: Cap sweet guava 4% , Cap sweet strawberry 3.5% . Inw cactus .5% to start, and then add some Cap Sweet Pineapple, while this recipe is definitely going in the right direction, it’s still missing something. I’m really hoping someone can offer some advice, I would be very happy if I could ever get this figured out.
Edit: formatting
You can create a tropical punch juice from any direction really. The first thing I would do is not use any specific 'tropical' concentrates. I also wouldn't use any INW Cactus as you can get your juiciness from Lime or other citrus. Decide on your base. I'd probably go with mango as I love mango (your base can be ANY tropical fruit). I'd go with something like 4% VT Shisha Mango and 3% VT Mango Juice.
Now just get creative. Do you also want to taste pineapple in this vape? Banana? Papaya? Jackfruit? Passionfruit? An undercurrent of Lychee? Do you want defined layers or just a big lovely jumbly mush of the tropics? Do you want your juice to SING? If so add generous amounts of citrus. Maybe top up the glass with your favourite lemonade. Add cooling.
My goal is to create a juice that tastes exactly like Hawaiian Punch Fruit Juicy Red. I don’t mind creating it from scratch if that’s what I need to do, when I started this, I thought that instead of reinventing the wheel, I would instead order several tropical punch flavors, find one that’s in the ballpark, and tweak it until I had it nailed down. I’ve been working on this on and off ever since I started mixing and it’s been much more challenging than I ever anticipated. I’m missing some of the flavors you suggested, and they will definitely be included in my next flavor order. Thanks for your advice.
I checked google and found that the fruits in the original Hawaiian punch(fruit juicy red) are apple, apricot, guava, orange, papaya, passion fruit and pineapple. I can't find anything about the % of each fruit so I guess this isn't a huge help. Hope it helps in some way! Good luck!
This was exactly my approach also. I started with TFA Hawaiian Drink and got that horrible cough syrup taste. Then I ordered several other fruit punch type flavors hoping one of them will be closer to what I'm looking for. I haven't tried any yet, but FW Hawaiian Islands Punch smells like it might be what I'm looking for.
After reading some of the other comments on this post though, I think I might have to try and make something from scratch as well.
This one tastes exactly like the NOSS energy drink. When you think energy drink you usually think over sweet monster or Redbull but NOSS is neither, it's a citrus mango punch. My recipe is here : Mango Unchained
i developed it for use with Nic salts in a pod device, but it also runs as a freebase recipe. Its capella mango dominant with just a tiny splash of TFA citrus punch. After 4 days the mango interacted with the citrus punch and turned it into a mango pineapple punch note which really caught me off guard because I vape citrus punch a fair amount and have never gotten anything from it quite like this.
>My recipe is adjusted for my own 60ml nic salt base because of Canadian laws on nic sales
Always thought NOS was grapefruit, but now that you say mango, I'm seeing how that works. Dang. Psyched to try this.
NOS is grapefruit 🤷🏻♂️.. There is a mango version in an orange can .. maybe he meant that..
I very well may be haha, my friends father owns a gas station and he gave us a trunkload of something like 300 NOSS beverages that were set to expire soon and I haven't had more since we finished them probably 2 years ago because we drank them daily for far too long. They didn't come in cans though, they were gray or blue bottles with a vibrant almost metalic colored orange wrap label with a orange cap that looked like a valve, they all looked like nitrous bottles you see in racecar movies.
