I want to get a bottle of 0mg so that I can try something. I plan on getting a 100ml bottle of juice and then extracting 1.2 mls of the juice and replacing that volume(1.2ml) with the nic base (250mg/ml) That would get me a bottle of 3mg juice. If I did this and I used salt nic. would it ruin the flavor in someway that I'm not realizing? It's such a small amout of nic base that it's not really diluting the juice much at all. Would it be better if I were to keep the 100ml without subtracting the 1.2 and just putting the shot of nic in the bottle for a total of 101.2mls of juice. This will only disturb the balance of PG VG and FLA. by .01. The nic base would also have to be modified to 1.21mls (lol). If anyone has experience with this particular topic let me know. I plan to get back into DIYing soon, just not at the moment(natm). Commercial juice is mostly bad, highly sweetened, overly flavored.
If the original juice is mixed at 20% flavoring (which is rich as hell), your nic added will alter the flavoring by one fifth of one percent...
If it's a 10% flavoring, then it's altering by half that, a tenth of a percent...
That's not a very significant change for a 100ml batch, and will make a not very significant change to the final flavor. I highly doubt you'll notice :)
Nope, a lot of people do that. As long as you get the right proportion between the juice you have and the proportion and concentration of nicotine you're using, you'll be fine.
no perceivable change in flavor? this solution seems great due to salt nic liquids being the new expensive juice. Often times they suck as well. Esp. juices that are complex.
I haven't done it myself, but what I hear from people is that it actually preserves the flavor better (making it closer to what the concentrate actually tastes/smells like) since the nicotine hasn't been oxidizing in it in storage for months. Of course, it's a subjective thing, but I don't think the flavor will suffer negatively from you adding the nicotine yourself.
Just remember to shake very well. All the ratios are very small, so to me the math is identical whether you take 1ml off the top or not. The stuff you are adding will not just distribute itself evenly. Assume it is trying it's best to form an isolated 1ml 250mg patch on the top, the bottom, or the side of your bottle. Try to outsmart that patch and trick it into fully mixing.
This is what I do when I treat myself to premium juice.
For brands that are 20 bucks a bottle, you would think they would use better nicotine...
You'll be all good.
