I thought TFA said they were just getting it from a different supplier, which theoretically shouldn't mean any change in the flavor??

edit: TFA posted this on their FB page:

> RE: Strawberry (Ripe) Flavor confusion

TFA Strawberry (Ripe) is being made by a different flavor manufacturer than it had been previously. We are not discontinuing Strawberry (Ripe).

We lost our primary manufacturer for Strawberry (Ripe) in October and are simply having it made by a different company. To be transparent, we alerted many of our customers who would be affected the most by sending the flavor from the new manufacturer along with a letter explaining what was going on. Nearly all of our flavors are made by multiple manufacturers, so this is nothing new.

Strawberry (Ripe) from the new manufacturer has undergone thorough “triangle” flavor tests and passed. A Triangle test is where two samples of the original manufacturer’s product are compared with the new manufacturer’s product. If the taste tester cannot identify which sample is different, then the flavor is a match. We were completely satisfied with the results of our Strawberry (Ripe) testing.

My friend tried the new Strawberry and she said there is very little if any difference between new/old. She said if anything the new one may be slightly sweeter.

Could be interesting. I can't taste it without the presence of TFA Strawberry (og). Maybe they'll fix it for us non tasters :)

Does it actually get better with the normal strawberry? I’ve got a few different strawberry’s in my basket just now, I’ve never been able to taste strawberry ripe.

For me, but taste is subjective. Add half normal strawberry to your ripe, and it should pop

Sweet, I’ll give it a try., I’ve also got INW Shisha strawberry and FA Red touch in my basket so hopefully I’ll find something I can taste!

I wish I could, but SR absolutely desserts my lungs for some reason. Even one puff, and it feels like I just took a drag off an analog. I think I'm allergic or sensitive to something in it, which sucks because it's in so many great mixes.

Might actually be a good thing, I started avoid TFA Strawberry ripe recipes because I feel like I get terrible vaper's tongue from it. Stop being able to taste it at all some days.

Are you serious? I hate when companies do that! 😡....And that is in my top 3..!

Exactly, which is why they should create a v2 such as Capella does.

Yeah you're right but I wonder if it would taste as good... have you tried Pazzo Jack?

Hopefully it tastes the same and is more concentrated, sure do need a bit with the way it currently is...

Personally I feel like it's too overbearing for my taste buds. Even as far as 2% it takes over the entire flavor IMO. Am I not steeping long enough (1 week steep in most flavors minimum)

Sorry for going off topic, but I noticed something last time at NicRiver. Capella has another vesion of their Strawberry Sweet. It has a "Reduced flashpoint" or whatever so it's safe to fly. The original isn't supposed to be flying around on airplanes? It's a flammability thing. My question is, who's tried it? Does it taste completely different?

It tastes identical to the original formulation, except that you don't have to breathe off the alcohol that isn't there (the RF is just a reduction in ethanol content).
