Highlights from last week:
/u/OmegaTigBitties shared a very classy and thoughtful email from NicRiver about the impact of the wildfire in California.
/u/eyemakepizza made a Flavor Inventory spreadsheet to keep track of your stash.
/u/AlfredPudding made a Recipe Template to make posting recipes to the front page easier and more beneficial to everyone.
/u/Johnbelwell hit us with some mild title gore about sore throats and zero nic hit with an explanation that everything but their own DIY was working just fine. /u/juthinc was kind enough to pinpoint the most likely cause.
/u/jerichos_cowbell shared their gratitude to the sub and got reported several times for doing so. Apparently we’re so humble around here that not only are thanks not necessary, they’re actively discouraged ;)
/u/bigtidder shared their first recipe post with the sub PB Custard Cups and with development notes like those, I look forward to seeing more from them in the future!
And finally /u/PepperMyJabrill enlightened us with 3 reviews of EuroFlavor: Fresh Blueberry, Graham Cracker, and Blue Raspberry which happen to be the first and only EuroFlavor reviews in the Flavor Review Wiki
We have an official Discord server if anyone wants to join and chat: https://discord.gg/ufVTyAQ
I'm sad that it's come to this, but this sub is a lot more enjoyable once you block 2 users. It's unfortunate that it's come to this. A little snark is funny from time to time but constant negativity and berating of new mixers makes my heart hurt. That is all...

I can't even. :)
Neat. I didn’t even know that was happening! It’s okay, though. It wasn’t a recipe or a DIY-related question so I reckon I understand the sentiment. Reporting aside, I’m still thankful and still meant every word.
I've got a question about peanut butter. I know almost everyone uses flavorah peanut butter at 1% or less in addition to another one but my question is, tpa peanut butter or tpa DX peanut butter? I see lots of people swear by the original, but unlike most dx flavors, I've actually seen a lot of people say the dx version is king. What are your thoughts on this?
I'd say it really depends on the recipe and the other ingredients you are trying to blend the peanut butter into. The original is smoother and waxy kind of like real PB, and the DX version is a little drier, more on the authentic toasted peanut spectrum. I'd probably choose the DX for mixing with Jams, fruit, or tobaccos, and the regular version for things like custards or milkshakes. If you're working on a peanut butter recipe I would say test both of them to see which one fits better.
Awesome answer, thanks for all the info and suggestions there! I am indeed testing them both separately but I was just curious what other people thought on them because I've seen things like "its peanut butter so obviously I had to use dx pb here" in recipe notes. Thanks again!
> I'd say it really depends on the recipe and the other ingredients you are trying to blend the peanut butter into.
This right here ^^^. The first time I tried the DX version was in a peanutbutter cookie recipe I'm familiar with (Using the standard version). It turned out very waxy where when using the original didn't have all that wax. Trying DX solo, it tasted pretty good and kind of creamy like real peanutbutter. It's nice to have both for situational use.
I have FLV Classic Cigarette and INW DNB (burny ashy components).
What ONE tobacco would you choose to build an Actual Burning Cigarette? Or, what list of tobaccos could work and should be tested to be the only tobacco in Actual Burning Cigarette?
I have read so many cigarette recipes this week, and many of them have so many tobacco flavors used at a time.
I'm getting very curious if there are any that people would recommend that (with additives for the ashes, burning, and drrty smoke) could work on their own?
Can anyone let me know if FA Cola is the same as FA USA pleasure (cola)?
I’d assume so but I don’t want to chance it!
Also does chefs usually have Black Friday sales?
They are the same.
Chefs doesn't do anything for Black Friday but last year they did Super Sunday Funday. So far I haven't heard if that is happening again.
A few recipes I’m looking to buy flavourings for use TFA Sour, I usually like to read up on flavours/enhancers I’m unaware of before buying and I’ve found that a lot of the community advise against TFA sour, mostly saying it doesn’t work and just ruins liquid. Can anyone give me tips on what to use instead?
What are you looking to use it for?
Mostly this Been chasing a cola bottles recipe for a while, I used to vape a “premium” one before I started diy
Any ideas on something that seems like it shouldn’t be mixed with tobaccos? I seem to be lacking inspiration these days and I’m thinking a good challenge might help me out.
Which site historically has the best black Friday discount? I'd like to start making a cart a week in advance lol.
Ecigexpress usually does 30% while others are doing 10-20% off. But if your cart is going to have PG/VG/Nic you’ll probably save more using NicRiver because their prices are that much lower to start. If it’s just flavors you’re after, ECX will have the highest discount. But BCF will be comparable and they have a much better selection of flavors, so it’ll be more likely you can get everything in one order.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, maybe it deserves its own thread.
'Menthol'? 'Mint'? 'Cooling agent'?
I'm not really sure what it is that I'm looking for. I've got menthol, mint, peppermint, 'creme de menthe' and koolada 10%.
No matter what I try, I'm just not getting what I'm looking for. I want the 'experience' I had smoking a strong menthol, not so much the 'flavor.'
For lack of a better term, I want it to be so cold that it hurts.
I love mixing fruits (apple, grape, etc.) in with these flavors, I'm okay with chocolate mixes (a la Bowden's Mate), and completely fine with just straight menthol (Peppermint/Extreme Ice).
What is the flavoring/additive/whatever I need to pick up to do exactly this?
The menthol/coolant FOTW post may have some information that's useful to you.
I think you may want WS-23, but I think you should ALSO get a bunch of INW Mix Mint (and some INW Eucalyptus Mint after that). Most people find them too strong even at say 3%. I mix them at 5% single flavor, I know exactly the feeling you're talking about, and I LOVE THEM. PS Also try using waaaaaaaay more menthol than seems reasonable as a single flavor, and see what that does for you. I've almost determined Mix Mint is just ubermenthol with some peppermint and spearmint notes.
looking to buy salt nic and don't know whether to get smooth or throat hit. setting my son up for diy, he mainly vapes tobacco juice. I have no idea what venders typically use in their juice. thanks for any advice you can offer
Do you have to cut the tip off the new Flavorah glass bottles or did I get a defective batch? There's no hole in the tip. At first I thought it was just a weird design choice, but after cutting off two of them and having issues with them leaking I'm wondering if I got a bad batch. Has anyone else had issues with them?
This might be a noob question but, is ordering from the direct manufacturer of any company any different from ordering it somewhere else, like let’s say I order directly from CAP or TPA for example?
Does anyone else get a terrible offputting taste from FLV Papaya Punch? I've tried this from .25 to 1% and any higher makes me feel nauseous and it takes me hours to remove it from my palate, it just lingers and lingers. At first it smells great out of the bottle but now that ive vaped it, I cant even smell it anymore without feeling ill.
My next move it to only try one drop per 10 ml, because I really don't know what else to think about it. What are others opinions on this flavoring and its strength? it is possible I have one that's more concentrated?
