I've been making my own lozenges for years. One of the things I find interesting about "e-juice" is that the primary base "vegetable glycerin" isn't technically suppose to be heated. Its actually a food filler used in a lot of different food products.

When I learned this, I thought to myself, this should not be getting heated but rather ingested like a lozenge! 3 years later and hundreds of hours later led me to mastering this process in my own kitchen. I make a batch of 150 lozenges in about 15 minutes twice a month. I've quit smoking since I started doing this. They taste absolutely amazing, have top notch nicotine consistency and are made for around a penny per lozenge. If anyone is interested in learning how to make these please reply!
Post it!
I have the oh so secret recipe.
Google: How to make homemade mints
Make the recipe and see how many mints you make.
Add nicotine to the liquid component e.g. peppermint oil in appropriate amounts based on how many mints you can make
Done.

I am but we will probably get yelled at 😂😩...unless this gets turned into a juice post. Can we vape them? They have flavors like juice surely. Just kidding about vaping them but congrats on quitting smoking and you obviously know where we are if you ever want to dive into the soo time consuming and the you never feel like you’ll learn everything hobby of diy ejuice ....;)
Does it not give you the shits? I read somewhere that VG is a laxative if you eat a certain amount of it. I guess if you only use a small amount per lozenge, it would be fine.
Anyway, seems like there are enough people interested to discuss your methods! Please enlighten us!
Im dropping my eliquid into my coffee, about 6 drops 12mg per cup, and i dont crave nic for about 3 hoyrs
I have never thought about this. Does it affect the taste of coffee?
Not much. I drink it black, and it made it slightly fruity like a hipster roast with a sherbet. I want to get a vanilla flavor just for my coffee
Have to ask, how big is your coffee cup? Standard tea cup, mug, starbucks size? Not expecting exact measurements or anything, just a guesstimate so I don't over nic myself. Heavy coffee drinker and willing to try. I chain vape 1.5mg mostly, 3mg on trips where I vape a lot less.
So, OP is a liar or a dumbass
I thought ingesting nicotine was poisonous?
I had to remove OP’s comment because it was spam. So here is their recipe without the sales pitch:
I've easily made well over a hundred batches and continue to further progress down this path. I have plans to be releasing a DIY kit with patents in the near future. Now on to the recipe, nothing ground breaking but works like a charm.
Stovetop Method: Use process below at own risk and also consult a physician before any use. I am not responsible for anything that happens to anyone who tries this method. You can easily be hurt if you do not know what you are doing.
Equipment Required
1 qt. saucepan
Measuring cup
Candy Thermometer that registers to 300° F
Wooden spoon
Hot Mitts/Pads
Hard Candy Molds
Lozenge Recipe--Stovetop
2 cups white granulated sugar
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup light corn syrup
LorAnn Flavored Oils 1 Dram size
NOTE: Cooked Lozenge is VERY HOT. Caution is necessary to prevent burns. Wear and use protective mitts, gloves, etc.
Spray molds with vegetable oil spray or butter
Combine sugar, water, and corn syrup in saucepan.
Cook over high heat and stir with fork until sugar is dissolved.
Clip thermometer to side of pan and continue cooking.
When thermometer registers 300° F, carefully remove pan from heat.
Cooking time is approximately 10 minutes.
Let candy set until bubbles disappear (approximately 2 minutes) or 270F
Add one Lorann Flavoring and Nicotine Solution. Both of these when mixed will create some steam. Use caution
Pour candy into prepared molds, use spatula to evenly distribute. This will fill about 2 and half recommended molds
Let candy cool completely could take 2-4 hours
When candy is hardened, unmold by inverting onto wax or parchment paper
Seal candies in air tight container, or wrap individually
So nowhere in this recipe does it say how much nicotine to add to how much candy by weight or volume, or even what concentration of nicotine or flavor concentrate to use. If you are going to do this you will need to know how many ml or grams of candy you have in each mold and then adjust your nicotine. You will also have to figure out the amount of flavor to add before you add nicotine. I don’t know what they were trying to sell, but they probably should have just kept this information or lack there of to themselves.
I agree. It looks like they put a decent amount of effort into making a series of videos but then handed out half-assed instructions in order to make them seem necessary, while expecting people to fork over $80 for privilege of watching them. I basically just deleted the links and sales pitch without giving much attention to the rest. Should have nuked this whole post from the start /u/ChemicalBurnVictim's "sales pitch vibe" was spot on.
I may be reading this recipe wrong, but if I were to set out to make this, I'd want to clarify first:
-
Nicotine solution doesn't seem to appear in the ingredient list--is it meant to be included in "LorAnn Flavored Oils 1 Dram size"? To equal 1 dram total or nah? PG or VG in flavor? PG or VG nicotine base? I don't know tons about making hard candy but it seems it could matter.
-
When it does appear ("Add one Lorann Flavoring and Nicotine Solution. Both of these when mixed will create some steam. Use caution"), it's still unclear as to the volume, the strength, and the base (PG or VG?).
-
How many pieces will this yield? At what size/weight/volume? And thus, how much nicotine per?
I may be being dumb and missed some things, but in case anyone is making this, I'd just advise to clarify those things to yourself first.
Probably the difference between our vg and yours is yours is food grade ours is pharmacy grade I think and yes glycerin is used in more things than I’d like to admit honestly, haaa.
There is no difference, pharmacy grade is a made up thing to drive up the price. In fact, the whole vegetable part of vg is just savvy marketing. Glycerol used to be made from animal fat triglycerides from the meat industry but since biodiesel literally all of it of VG. There are other qualities for industrial use that include technical grade, analytical grade, hplc grade and a few more but the only place these things make sense is a lab.
Edit: to clarify, glycerol is a byproduct when making biodiesel from plants like rapeseed.
I see no reason why they'd use anything other than the same grade VG used for juice which is USP (higher than food grade)
