Highlights from last week:
The brilliant contraption known as the “LoganPhyve bottle turner for kids who want to learn how to mix good and do other stuff good, too” was revealed to the world. Is it a better world? I don’t know. But it’s different.
/u/CherryDarlingxx had a message to new mixers from a new mixer--It’s good advice that will help you IMMENSELY.
/u/KreativniNeredA1355 made a request for recipes with a few ingredients that were fruity and stuff.
/u/oblivion2k inquired about the elusive sour flavor that, according to experience and /u/nipar, is basically unobtainable.
And finally /u/AlfredPudding, future recipe of the year winner (if I had to bet) dropped another excellent looking recipe called Cap’n Burgundy’s First Mate
We have an official Discord server if anyone wants to join and chat: https://discord.gg/ufVTyAQ
u/Apexified - interested to know which recipe of u/AlfredPudding you expect to be recipe of the year?
That was mostly meant to be tongue in cheek commentary on him having a lot of recipes in the highlights. But perhaps, if I were going to nominate one, it would probably be Holy Trinity Ice Cream or 007 Cola.
Do vendors do a Halloween sale? I'm afraid they'll be too inundated during black friday
Do you guys make an effort to meet mixers in your area/in real life? If so, how has that gone? I feel like it would be great to trade knowledge and swap unwanted materials--is this something people do, maybe centered around vape shops? I'm thinking about approaching an owner to set up a meetup type thing.
I make an effort not to meet anyone in my area/in real life.
But besides that, I doubt there’s too many people around me that mix. I’ve tried to get some people in to it, but that didn’t work out. I haven’t been in a vape shop since the Mutation X v4 came out, but I don’t suppose those are the type of people that I’d care to chat with. I just stick to my online mixing pals.
Okay 3 parter here.

Is INW grapes and grape the same thing? Their site only lists Grapes but the stateside vendors I've been using list it as Grape. I know some of the names get fucky between countries and vendors. Just want to make sure.
-
Been using a shit ton of LA Lemonade. About 35ml in the last 2 months. I know it fades pretty quickly once mixed but what about in the bottle? At my rate of use seems worthy of at least a 2oz in next order.
-
Going to be grabbing some Jungle Flavors in next order too. Sweet Strawberry, Honeydew and Juicy Lemon look promising from what I've read here. Any other solid flavors from them worth having around? I mostly vape fruits but do occasionally vape other stuff.
Thanks

Yes

No. Not quickly.

Biscuit, Yellow Cake, Cookie, Coconut, RY4 Double, Fuji
In the oddity of INW flavor names, Grape and Grapes are actually the same. It's the exception in their naming convention.
I buy LA Lemonade four ounces at a time. Don't abuse the concentrate (keep it sealed when not using, don't let it heat up) and you're fine.
JF Juicy Lemon is their best. If you ever do baked goods, some Yellow Cake so you don't get cancer from the FW version.
Thanks. Yeah that naming drives me nuts. I will be trying out your GIGI as well as a couple others that need grape. See I do like stuff other than strawberry or peach.
It confused me for a while, since I knew Cherry/Cherries were different, and I'd heard people describe INW Grape as a realistic grape flavor instead of being Purple flavor (and the bottle I had was labelled 'Grapes' and is completely Purple and not realistic at all) but... nope. Same flavor.
I do think GIGI is one of my three best recipes. Probably the best, but if I tweaked Apple Blossom a bit...
Can someone please explain how I can lower my nic level on a pre made juice? I got 6mg and getting harsh throat hits. I’m wanting to see if I lower the nic do I still get this problem
You can buy another bottle @ 0mg and dilute the nicotine content to whatever level you want. Any other method of diluting it (e.g adding VG) will affect the flavor.
According to my SFTs I am lucky enough to get the soapy/potpourri off taste from TPA Pomegranate even at low %. If I'm going to find this flavor usable at all, what's the best route to go for taming this note in a mix? I have TPA Dragonfruit, EM, FA Fresh Cream, FLV Marshmallow, FA Meringue, TPA Vanilla Swirl, FLV Sweet Coconut, WF Banana Puree all bought with the primary intention of using as a tamer at low %ages. I'd appreciate any thoughts/input/experiences before I mix up some small experiments to steep!
Is there a site that's similar to nic River, that provides nic base, nic salts, and flavorings? Closest I've seen is ecigexpress but they don't sell nic salts.
Liquid Nicotine Wholesalers is the only place I can think of that is essentially a one stop shop like NicRiver.
Oohh tnx! Their nic any good?
Has anyone tried the Fried Chicken Flavour Concentrate by Real Flavors?

Are the Nude Nicotine horror stories universally true, or is this a case of a vocal minority? Been mulling over getting into DIY Lite (read as: cutting my ADVs with unflavored nic base to make them last longer, since I trend towards really strong flavors like Jam Monster that should still shine through just fine if cut a bit) and they were the top of my search results on Google.
That's not even diy light by any means. But no, don't order from NN. Vaperstek would be your best bet.
Too late, I wasn't in a hurry to get it and decided I'd try it for science. Figured I'd just cancel before they shipped if it took too long. Should be here this upcoming Friday according to the UPS tracking number and the fact they charged my card. Will report back with results.
What would DIY Lite be considered? I was being facetious.
I personally have never had a problem with them, having made 3 orders. I've also spoken with them on the phone. They are smart people. HOWEVER, they are the slowest in shipping. They are slow as hell. They even talk slow. :) If they specifically have something you need, just know it will take like 2 weeks.
Agree though that Vaperstek is top notch in quality, reliability, and speed.
If all you need is a nic base to cut with though, watch Liquid Barn bc they do a lot of that and have good coupon/sales that I wish I wanted something from them to take advantage of, lol.
I had an extremely bad experience that lasted over a month with them. And now that the fires are going on you can be sure there will be extra delay. They took 3 weeks to send me a complete wrong order of a half gallon of base I could never use, then took two more weeks to send me 4 leaking bottles, not sealed correctly. Worst phone customer service I've ever experienced in my life, because its virtually non existent. When it is, its the least satisfying and most annoying leave. I would reccomend that if you plan on mixing any time soon, spend $50 at nic river, get the free shipping. Itll be on your door in 4 days (expect possible delay from fires)
As a closer, I'll never order from NN again as long as I live. Happy mixing
What is a good base of flavors to mix and match? I want ones that are not only solid on their own, but work well to make compound flavors. All the juices I have made before are unflavored so I'm going in fully blind
Hey, does anyone know a good recipe with white chocolate and vanilla? Can contain anything. Thanks :)
Good morning!
A couple quick ones here:
-
Nic - Just ordered some (LB), comes in a shampoo like bottle that isn't convenient for dispensing. I put some into a 4 ounce condiment bottle that does have a convenient dispensing tip. Good idea? Keeping both in the freezer, and I intend to refill the smaller one when it gets empty.
-
PG/VG - I mix these together in 30/70 mix, then just add whatever I need. Am I doing this right?
-
How much juice do you make at once? My concern is ensuring that the nic doesn't go bad before I've vaped it.
-
Finally, is my technique OK? I'm mixing by weight, so I add each flavor/nic, tare, then once all of those are done, I just top the bottle off with my PG/VG mix.
Thanks!!!!

A lot of people like to take their original nic and break it into smaller bottles (30ml amber glass is popular). Keep one out with your mixing things (as long as it is cool/dark it is fine) and the rest in the freezer. This reduces chances of oxidation and keeps the nic fresh longer.
-
No, you should use a recipe calculator (there is one on ELR and ATF, others also I'm sure) which will take into account the pg % from flavors. If you do not, you will wind up with higher then 30% pg in your mix.
-
Depends on the recipe. Is it a dessert type that needs to steep? Or a fruity shake and vape? Fruits can fade faster, so you don't want to make too much. I usually start with a 10ml, then mix a bigger size once I know I like the recipe. I don't do desserts so I only make what I know I'll vape in a week at any given time.
-
Yes. Except for the vg:pg mix part which I addressed above. Though I suppose you could totally keep making the pre mix, just as long as you know it won't be exactly the 70:30 you're aiming for.
Anyone ever tried “Cornbread Puddin” by Country Clouds? Any idea what goes into it/where I should start for a clone?
