Throwback Thursday - All FW
submitted almost 7 years ago by ID10-TWinner of the 2nd DIYorDIE World Mixing Championship

This is part of project I agreed to take on after it was pointed out that so many of the resources in sidebar and wiki are ancient. The idea is, rather than revising them myself, I'd post them here once per week to gather feedback on how to improve them. They belong to all of us, everyone should have a say in what they say.

Two weeks ago, we looked at a 4-year-old section of the wiki that contained 7-year-old recipes using only TFA flavors. Last week, we rebooted that old thing. I also warned you that this was going to happen this week:

#Post your favorite all-FW recipes here!

Post them in tables, post them with bullets, post them with ATF/ELR links, post them without ATF/ELR links, post them AS ATF/ELR links, post them with notes, post them without notes, post them if they're your own creations, post other people's' recipes that you've enjoyed, post them any way you like, just post them!

Speaking of warnings: Someone wanted me to to be sure to warn you "not use the toxic flavors." I will do no such thing; some of those flavors a tasty as all hell and I will continue to use them, at least until I run out. But, I will tell you to use them at your own risk. First of all, they contain sugars that burn at high temps and release carcinogenic fumes. As much cancer as cancer sticks? Seriously doubt it. But depending on how far you want to take your harm reduction, you might want to phase these flavors out of your arsenal or even dump them out right now. And even you don't care all that much about some fumes, consider your coils. These flavors will gunk them right up. Here's the list of Flavor West flavors that are known to contain sugars:

  • Acai Berry (20-30%)
  • Banana Nut Bread (1-10%)
  • Banana Split (1-10%)
  • Bananas Foster (15-25%)
  • Biscotti (20-30%)
  • Blackberry Mojito (15-25%)
  • Boom (10-20%)
  • Cinnamon Churro (20-30%)
  • Cloud 9 (10-20%)
  • Coffee (25-35%)
  • Coffee Cream (25-35%)
  • Dragon Fruit (25-35%)
  • Fruity Flakes (10-20%)
  • Goji Berry (20-30%)
  • Green Apple Natural (15-25%)
  • Gummy Bear (20-30%)
  • Hawaiian Limeade (5-10%)
  • Jack Fruit (20-30%)
  • Key Lime Natural (10-20%)
  • Kiwi Natural (20-30%)
  • Lemon Meringue Pie (10-20%)
  • Macadamia Nut (5-15%)
  • Madagascar Vanilla (10-20%)
  • Merlot (15-25%)
  • Mojito (15-25%)
  • Moose Milk (10-20%)
  • Pomberry (10-20%)
  • Pomegranate (10-20%)
  • Prickly Pear (10-20%)
  • Rainbow Lined Gum (15-25%)
  • Rainbow Sherbet (10-20%)
  • Raspberry Natural (1-10%)
  • Red White Blue (20-30%)
  • Rocky Road (25-35%)
  • Star Fruit (20-30%)
  • Sweet Tarts (20-30%)
  • Tiki Roar (10-20%)
  • Tres Leches (10-20%)
  • Tropical Punch (20-30%)
  • Watermelon Natural (10-20%)
  • Yumberry (10-20%)
  • Cake Batter Dip (10-15%)
  • Coconut Cream Pie (15-25%)
  • Ginger Ale (20-30%)
  • Strawberry Shortcake (10-20%)
  • Yellow Cake (20-30%)
  • Dutch Apple Pie (1-5%)

Probably also worth noting the FW Grape Soda has a CAP Super Sweet-level of sucralose in it.

You can react to the recipes and discuss them after they're posted but top-level comments that aren't FW-only recipes will get zapped.

Disclaimer: This might make it easier and less expensive for someone to do some entry-level mixing. Staying off the stinkies without spending beaucoup on juice is the most important thing, right? But for intermediate mixers, for best results, more often that not you should mix with varying flavors from different flavor houses. Each company does something better than another one. While mixing with just one brand may be cheaper, easier, or more accessible, it will not usually give you the best mix possible.

Note: We'll do all-Capella recipes next week. That's ALL-CAP recipes. Not acapella recipes. I don't want to hear any of you sing.

It's not entirely necessary but I use FA Sour Wizard 2% to make the recipe complete (which I know isn't FW).

10% FW Blue Ice. As simple as it gets, and a good palate cleanser too.

I'm not a bad singer, but yes, I won't sing as per your request.

Are we, or I mean some of you 😂😩 supposed to fix those single flavor percentages to coincide w the times, because I got kinda skerrd when I looked at them?

Yogurt 6%

Blueberry 5%

Think that might be all I have to contribute...;)

Those aren’t single flavor percentages, they’re something even scarier. They’re the amount of SUGAR in each of those flavors.
