New to this whole thing, but very intrigued
I've personally only seen them online.
Probably because they want to sell the ejuice they have and not help people never come back into the store for ejuice haha.
I wish it was around in stores. I'd be more into DIY juice if it was easier to obtain which basically means I'm too lazy to order it lol
Edit: typo
There's a few reasons why it's so rare to encounter B&Ms stocking flavour concentrates:
-
Generally speaking a large chunk of the DIY crowd tends to be very price conscious, so the markup required to justify the space and expense of stocking it in a retail location makes it quite unappealing to the customers who would come in for it.
-
The percentage of vapers who DIY is very very small, and thus the amount of inventory space and value required vastly dwarfs the actual amount of business it would bring in.
Eliquid supplies are a perfect example of a product that is best suited to online sales. Because the market itself is fairly small, retailers need to be able to access a very large market (ie the entire US, etc). Being online also means not having to deal with the high cost of operating a physical B&M location, and those savings can be put into a wider inventory, and more competitive prices.
There is a really cool vape shop in my area called Kidney Puncher that sells flavor concentrates and all sorts of DIY vape stuff.
I've ordered wire from kidney puncher b4👍
Shop i work for sales premiums, our own houseblend, concentrates, nicotine, bottles, Syringes, and pretty much everything you need to make your own juice. Im surprised most shops dont. Honestly if a store makes their own house blend in store they should sell everything that might be needed for someone to make their own juice. Maybe try finding a shop that makes their own?
Why would any shop want people to make juice when their profit margin in juice pays the rent?
Because they can charge a ridiculous mark up on supplies. A 15ml (or 13ml if it's Cap) sells for about $4 at Kidney Puncher, where 30ml of the same flavor is the same price or less at BCF. They also charge about $22 or so for a 120ml bottle of NicSelect 100mg/ml. PG and VG run around $8 for 250ml.
There was a shop near me that sold them but they closed down and were really shitty. I’ve read you can get some Lorann’s flavorings in shops but I doubt they’re any good.
Go to a bakery supply place, or somewhere that has a good selection. Don't buy randomly based on how good it sounds though, you don't want oil based flavorings at all. If you go to a decent place you've got a fair shot of finding some of the same flavorings you'd but online, maybe even the one you want.
The shop I frequent will mix up concentrates for you if you ask; they have a fair amount of customers who are flying home to the EU from the USA, and want to take some of their favorites back.
Any shop that mixes in house should be able to make concentrates for you, but pricing may not save you much if any money; most are going to charge you about the same price as the amount of juice that concentrate will make.
All my flavors came from online... I've never seen them in a B&M near me... But I would love it if I did... I do know hobby shops and Walmart carry LA. But very limited flavors... Some of LA 's are still my favorites..
In the cake decorating isle... But my Walmart only has certain flavors and never get new ones.. I only use a few of them anyway... But they are only one dram bottles, but if you're in a pinch, might come in handy...
Arent those oil based tho?
Not all of them... You have to watch which ones you use... I order from Bull City a lot and they carry the ones you can use... Some are especially for baking/candy making... I have bought watermelon, raspberry, what ever fruits Walmart has carried... But they never get anything new, and don't carry the LA flavors I like.... Like LA Bav . Cream, choc chip mint, creme DE menthe, etc... Some are also colored, so ya just gotta pay attention to what ya buy.... 😊
I thought about that too but I remember reading somewhere that those kind of “food flavors” are too concentrated for vape flavors or something like that. Had no problems with that?
Most are "food" flavors, LA was one of the first flavors I bought when I started mixing around 2011 or 12...Caps flavors are one if my fav brands.. I use them in my coffee... I order mostly from Bull City which carry LA flavors... I've never had a problem.. 😊 plus now we have alot of super concentrates, just means you use less👍
