Enhancing vape flavors with food and drinks
submitted almost 7 years ago by therapy420

Yesterday I had Fuze Tea Peach Hibiscus for the first time and when I took a drag of my Pinkman clone after, the flavors blended to a godlike combination.

Do you guys have any combinations of a vape flavor with a drink or food that are worth sharing?

At the moment i'm using a Virginia, Latakia and Caramel flavour blend made by an Italian brand that it's absolutely the best thing ever with my morning espresso!

There is a whole deep rabbit hole you can fall down into of pairing different vapes with different types of beers, wines, and cocktails. Try one and the vape that goes with it just cries out to you, whether it's a specific funky tropical fruit that would go perfectly with a certain IPA or strawberry and cream with certain champagne. The right vape with the right adult beverage can certainly enhance the experience of both.

My flavorite beverage/vape pairing though is a dessert tobacco like Cardinal and black coffee.

Also, sparkling water and cooling or minty vapes make a fun combo as long the sparkling water is plain or doesn't have a flavor that clashes with the vape.

Cardinal is great with a morning coffee

I like to pair pastry vapes with coffee and cereal/fruity vapes with IPA beers.

I feel like after I eat or drink anything I can’t really taste my Vape.

Sounds like you should stop eating and drinking and just rely on the trace amounts of VG you swallow while vaping to provide all your caloric needs.

I love a dark coffee with heavy cream. The cream taste stays in you mouth and gives the juice a really smooth flavor.

Totally get it, there's a couple things I just buy cause I like so much and I'm still new to mixing and I'm not great at it yet haha. Tripoli, pistachio ry4, and kite in clouds lenola cream.

I tried a chai latte and didn't actually enjoy it until I paired it with a nice coffe with sugar and cream. Combined with the coffee, I could finally taste the complexity of the spice blend.

A good lemon tart and a cuppa joe.

A good tart lemonade flavor and a great hoppy/fruity ipa.

I do fruit vapes and also drink a lot of "spritzers" (splash of juice in seltzer) and it either goes really well or really awful. For example if you go too same-same the flavor becomes overwhelming to the point of nothingness (like how too much of a flavor in an ejuice becomes muted), but when I find two that go together (for example a watermelon vape + my fave strawberry spritzer) it is freaking delightful.

A lemon-aid juice (bonus points if it has berries in it) with a slightly sweet tea is very nice in my opinion.

I was vaping Lemon Berryade (Hemlock) and took a drink of some iced tea i had just made and it was amazing. I had to make another batch of tea soon afterwards.

Citrus based vapes are nice with spicy food. Booze, tobacco, booze/tobacco flavors good with coffee the way it's meant to be drank (black).

I really like vaping berries while drinking coffee.

Beer + anything cold.

Sour Apple and Shasta Twist.

I have to say, coffee (usually black) works well with any buttery cookie vape. Or beer (mild, lager mostly) pairs good with a lemonade vape. That's what I favor.

Edit: this is what I vape with my coffee. And this is great with my saturday afternoon can or bottle of lager.

Honestly I wouldn't have anything to interfere with a more full-bodied glass of ale or other darker brews. I'd rather smell the glass as I sip it. Unless someone has something to recommend to pair with a dark ale or stout?

Not a vape recommendation, but if you like green olives, try some whilest having a great stout. Sounds weird, but it’s fucking awesome.

I enjoy dessert-y ry4s with my stouts

What would you pair unicorn milk by cuttwood with I wonder?

1 points

by omgroflzalmost 7 years ago

A bit weird but yesterday I ate garlic sauce and then vaped caramel flavors which became enhanced and powerful.

Edit: Not saying you should do it often, but it is a curious experiment.

The only thing that does this for me is coffee (ideally with hot milk). Any flavour liquid I make gets enhanced when drinking it, even if it seems it wouldn't be a good combo. Stuff like tea or soft drinks doesn't do it.

I'm not sure why it has this effect but it seems like the hot coffee left in your mouth allows the flavour of the eliquid to dissolve into it and smother the taste buds. Flavours pop more and taste smoother.

Coffee is bitter. The bitter taste followed by a contrasting sweet or sour vape will make the flavor more intense. I love a sweet menthol melon (watermelon crack clone with 1% koolada) after spicy food.

by Roc77almost 7 years ago

Makes sense but the coffee I drink isn't bitter nor do I add sugar. I see what you mean though, like eating salt and vinegar crisps with chocolate.

Coffee is by nature bitter, even if you dont consiter it bitter and you put cream and sugar in it, your taste buds are very sensitive and they can tell. But yes, acidic or salt and sweet goes together very well indeed.
