This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the September Recipe Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread?
Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.
If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.
Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping!
Happy Vaping!
A cactus creme De Menthe. Don't @ me.
wait this actually sounds delicious
My ADV is a Donkey Khan clone (Humble Juice Co.) though I've never had the original, my brother-in-law just mixed it up after finding the recipe online and it's been our ADV since. My SO calls it Dankey Khang since it's a clone and an all-time Jeopardy fail :P
(TFA) banana cream 7% (can use DX)
(TFA) dragon fruit 6%
(TFA) strawberry 8%
I've also seen it online with a mix of Strawberry/Strawberry Ripe (or Cap Sweet Strawberry) and some where 0.5% of Super Sweet is added. I played around with a Ripe mix but ultimately went back to the default above. Great shake and vape, and gets better every day.
Super smooth, the banana cream juuust wins but the strawberry keep things sweet and from tasting like too-strong banana flavour (like banana runts candy or banana flavoured kids medicine).
That's a lot of dragonfruit :o does it not overpower the mix?
Don't even taste it. Same with another recipe I mix that is 6% Straw, 6% DF, 4% Watermelon, and 0.5% Hard Candy. Tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher and nothing else. Don't quote me on those exact percentages, they are in a notebook at home, heh.
From what I gather, DF+Straw creates a nice base to build off.
I’ve been testing a gang of new flavors from Labor Day. Doing the old two flavor mix tests. Thanks to u/juthinc I picked up some liquors with massive hesitation as an alcoholic. Usually the flavor is very triggering for me but, just like I found the tobacco aromas to be incredibly satisfying, the ones I’ve tried so far have been interesting.
So, right now it’s fa gin 3% flv boysenberry 2%, vt fizzy sherbet 3% Persian lime 2%, and flv creme de menthe at 2% sft.
Also I’m finishing off my bottle of the the southerner by u/kopel and apricaught me slippin by u/chemicalburnvictim. Both are fantastic examples of complex tobacco vapes.
This week I tried a handful of Creme Brulee flavors (INW, VT, LB, OoO, RFSC, FLV Brulee) and VT Raw Sugar, and a handful of recipes that used Creme Brulee flavors.
All of them:
were very yummy. There's so much potential in the 3-2-1, I want to play around with the pineapple, the banana is surprising, and the vanilla bean is an easy ADV.
But only one of them was like wow, holy shit, this is amazing:
Profile: Blueberry Creme Brulee Tobacco. Sounds like a recipe for a hot mess, yes? No. I could not get enough of this masterpiece by /u/lonesomerhodestn . This is a recipe that makes outrageous promises... and actually keeps them.
I'm just going to post the whole recipe here in case someone doesn't want to click the ATF link. Because if you like either blueberries or tobacco you need this recipe in your life.
Co.| Flavor | % ---|---|---- FA | Custard Premium | 3.0 FW | Blueberry | 2.5 OoO | Creme Brulee | 2.0 FLV | Cured Tobacco | 2.0 WF | Vanilla Ruyan Custard | 2.0 FLV | Native Tobacco | 1.75 TFA| Blueberry Extra | 1.5 FE | Lemon | 0.25
Shit! I'm beyond appreciative of this review (and the one on ATF)! After I finished it, I told my wife that it might be the best recipe I've ever made. It would not have been possible without /u/EdibleMalfunction and you (/u/ID10-T) proselytizing the merits of the Trinity and FE Lemon. After reading this, I told my wife I should pull a George Costanza and try to go out on a high note. Of course, I won't . . . I'm going to continue to shove flavors together to my heart's content!
Please tell me this was carefully developed and underwent numerous revisions and extensive testing and not something you "shoved together." Because if this a bunch of stuff you tossed in a bottle and decided was worth sharing, I will probably just roll over and die.
Definitely not shoved together (though I sometimes feel like I'm shoving flavors together that don't naturally belong together). Been trying to get a good blueberry since I started mixing . . . vaped through more failures than I care to remember. Research (reading reviews, watching Noted, opinions from the Discord, etc) and development (mixing batches) was absolutely a part of building this.
New to the whole DIY juice thing. Been wanting to try it for some time but I don't have a ton of cash to spend on trial and error. Been lurking for a while but most people here seem to like doughy and cake type flavors and those just aren't my forte. My go to juice that I found by luck in Candy King Strawberry Watermelon Bubblegum. Not sure why it so good, but it's the best fruity/candy flavor I've found. I'd love some recipes for something similar. Doesn't have the be any specific fruit, just a juicy flavor without a dry aftertaste.
I started with a mix of fruits, creams, bakeries but quickly realized I liked tobaccos more than others with some bakeries and creams. Then I tried some better fruit flavors and have been playing with those and drinks/liquors lately. It’s a range but I think what helps is having solid flavors. In each kind of category there are some undeniable staples that are pretty damn good if not essential. All by themselves they may not be perfect or complex enough, they may only be used with certain things, but it’s been fun to try them.
That said, I’d recommend you pick a couple of fruits and then read the fotw thread, watch the noted episode on it, read the wiki entry, and look for recipes on atf or elr that use it (to see where people have taken it) and decide on which extras you want to add to it.
This week I've been vaping Cinnamon Burn Victim by u/ChemicalBurnVictim. I seriously love cinnamon cereal recipes and this one is awesome. I also mixed up some Bad Monkey by u/Apexified, which is a delicious banana pudding recipe with a stunning blend of caramel flavors drizzled over it. I stated in the last 'What are you vaping?' thread that I would take a break from working on my own recipes to review other creations, however I've already started working on two new projects. The first is my potential submission for the October Mixers' Club: the most difficult profile I've ever tried to tackle. The second is a personal goal of mine. I'll try to pace myself a bit more on those, and mix some more recipes that have already been established over the next 7 days. If you have any recommendations please let me know!
Flavors on the way for Bad Monkey, thanks for posting it! Sounds fantastic.
It is an outstanding recipe! I left a full review on the ATF page if you’re interested in my thoughts.
Yezzer, I did read that and if it's that good without the creme brulee I can't wait to make the whole thing! This was also the push for me to finally try salted caramel and butterscotch ripple from FW as I've been slacking on finally trying them. I'm gonna keep an eye on the October thread too, you piqued my curiosity with your pending submission.
Alfred you’ve been bit by the mixing bug and I for one am pleased you’ve become a mixing madman! You seem to be another gifted mixer and for those of us mixer challenged 😬, another gifted mixer is a treat!
This very second I’m getting freaky with my Sunrise Orchards. I wish it wasn’t 80 degrees out right now so it would be a little more seasonal, but it’s still good. Brigade in the other tank. Monday I was enjoying the last little bit of Smokin’ Hibiscus by /u/ebc88 that I mixed up 3 months ago. Still as good as ever.
Slowing down a little on the NETs because I’ve got about 10 of them in jars for the long steep until filtering.
For mixers club I’m about to pick up on a recipe I tried to do for last year that never worked out. Probably still won’t work out, but whatevs. Gonna be trying to make a decent white chocolate, pina colada, and caramel apple- then mix it all together.
I'm going to face my ultimate fear for mixers' club this month.
So, zombie juice for all? I do luv watermelon and I do luv cinnamon but I still need Rich cinnamon, the only one to dare try w it ya? I look forward to hear how it is ....;)
I would not mix Rich Cinnamon with watermelon because it's perfectly realistic cinnamon. It seems to me that if you're gonna do something as stupid as mixing watermelon and cinnamon, your best chance at avoiding complete disaster is to have both of those things be as candied a version of those things as possible.
For example: Dumping a bunch of cinnamon on a slice of watermelon and taking a big bite. Sounds repulsive, yeah? Putting a watermelon jolly rancher and a couple of Red Hots in your mouth at the same time though, much less horrifying.
Got some /u/ChemicalBurnVictim Cinnamon Burn Victim in one squonk. My Dovakhiins tea in my other squonk, and got Fears oneshot Posh from Chef flavours with me too always gotta have a good tobacco mix with me.
I've been feeling sick, so I've just wanted something juicy and cold. Real cold. I call it Very Very Cold.
Brand|Flavor|Concentration| :--|:--|:--| INW|Eucalyptus w/ Mint|3.00%| INW|Aloe|2.00%| NV|Menthol|4.00%| OTHR|WS-23|2.00%|
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hate Euc w/mint most of the time but when I can't breathe due to seasonal allergies, a cold, etc, nothing beats it. 3% FTW.
What's the Aloe doing for that mix? I got that stuff in a few weeks ago and still haven't gotten around to trying it.
There's a possibility it's mostly or entirely psychological, but before i added the aloe it was just a bit sharp-feeling. Like, I'm mostly using it to soothe my throat without resorting to cough drops, and before i added the aloe it would sharply twinge my throat before the numbing cooling effect kicked in. The aloe got rid of that and just makes it feel less dry?
Been vaping on two of diyordie’s recipes
Reds remixed
Fa Fuji Apple 5% (should be Cap Fuji 5% but replaced with FA at a pretty high % not paying attention.)
Cap double Apple 3%
Inw two apples 1.5%
Pretty unfamiliar with all flavors used in this recipe but really happy with the outcome. After messing around with multiple green apple flavors trying to make a tart/sour green apple, I finally got all these order and found a successful recipe. Great fresh green apple, not to candied.
And
Strawberry Jam /w toast.
Rf strawberry jam w/ toast 2%
Rf strawberry 3%
Cap sweet strawberry 3%
Cap golden butter 2%
Cap super sweet .5%
A great strawberry vape. Easily in my ADV rotation. Don’t get much of the toast flavor but do get plenty of sweet sugary strawberry jam.
For the Red's Remixed, are the FA and CAP Fuji interchangeable or is one better than the other? I'm interested on the recipe but need to order the flavors and I have been craving a crisp tart green apple vape.
I would say they are interchangeable but the original recipe calls for cap fuji at that percentage. If I make it again I’ll use Fa Fuji at 2-3% and see how it is.
100% not nor would JF Fuji either because they are radically different. Although JF would be better.
Because of Wayne's mix I've made many iterations but wanted a more green apple flavor. So I got CAP Green Apple and FLV Sour Apple. I just picked up their new Green Apple Hard Candy too for it but haven't opened it yet.
I drop the inw by .5% Fuji by 2% then threw in Green Apple at 2% and FLV Green Apple Sour at .75 to 1%.
Now it's more of a green apple note but I haven't mastered it yet which I'm hoping the new Green Apple will do it.
I still have to play with INW Apple and MB Green Apple with it. I'm not going hard core on it but maybe in a few months I'll nail it and put out a recipe.
Two doggystyle tanks rotating this week as usual.
Finally got around to trying Grack Juice from Philoasaphucker of atf. I’m not into fruit juices, but this one is great. I had to try it based on a reddit post a few weeks ago I saw, and I’m not sorry.
Always have single flavor FA Soho in a tank @14%.
Finally, testing a few mints this week, quite simple.
WF SC Double mint 2% (with and without koolada 1% or ws23 @1%).
And the same with INW Mint.
So far, the WF SC double mint is my preference. It’s not menthol, which i like, and doesn’t have a strange sweetness I get with some other mints.
I made my first 30ml of Grack Juice yesterday and so far I'm not really liking it. Hope I like it better in a few days.
Been obsessed with a 120 Cream Pop-inspired mix. Probably a bit strong on the flavours but will dial it back a bit next batch.
TPA Sweet Cream 1% TPA Whipped Cream 2.50% CAP Juice Orange 5.00% TPA Orange Cream 4.00% TPA Vanilla Bean Gelato 6.00% TPA Sweetener 2.00% TPA Koolada 10% 2.00%
Also been vaping a mix of:
TPA Dragonfruit 3.00% TPA Orange Cream 8.00% TPA Koolada 2.00% TPA Sweetener 2.00%
I discovered a simple but very nice juice on ATF called Unicorn Remix by VaporDude. I did all my strawberry on it last week so I made a new batch using sweet guava instead of the strawberry and it works pretty well though probably better at 2% rather than the 4% I used.
I just got a load of INW flavors from the 30% off VTek sale, and I just mixed up this delicious simplicity.
I call it "Shake, Shake, Shake Señora." My SO and I have had the song from Beetlejuice stuck in our heads for what seems like an eternity now.
|Co.|Flavor|%| |:-|:-|:-| |INW|Strawberry|1.5| |INW|Pineapple|4| |HV|Menthol|1|
I'm vaping it at 16mg from a Sourin Vagon, so the percentages are probably quite high for a sub-ohm build. I find INW Strawberry (non-Shisha version) provides a really nice jammy/candy strawberry profile to this, and meshes quite well with the tart pineapple.
Working with different iterations with Decadent Vapours Absinthe.

- Trying to unlock and finish my Raspberry Custard, which now kind of ventured off of Fresh03's custard base.
Here is the original that's good but needs that Yakima Hops magic to finish it: http://tjek.nu/r/nwRB?token=61a3245d0206838
- New Iteration that's promising: http://tjek.nu/r/mXNR?token=76bc33502f8e420 - I threw in Holy Vanilla in one batch and another with INW Custard. This one has Holy Vanilla and FLV Creme de Menthe, but I think FW's could be a better way to go.
This week I'm vaping element clone of pink lemonade (the highly rated on Elr), except instead of 2% cap Super sweet (which is crazy imo), I used 1% sugar daddy. I really like this. More artificial than real lemonade, but so much smoother than la lemonade imo.
I'm also vaping shyndo's mango sticky rice, which is so damn good. I noticed the mango isn't as prominent as it should be, so this tastes like sticky rice with bits of mango im the background. The reason for this imo is I let it steep for about 2 weeks (I was vaping sth else at that time). Shyndo wrote that this is a Snv so I will have to try and see how it tastes like as an Snv.
