Hi everyone,
I'm using an Innokin EQ pod system and need to find some pod recipes, I checked all the flavours and e liquid receipies but there isn't really a lot.
Does anyone know of any really good pod juices that I can manually search for on those sites? It's a shame there's no high mg nic salt categories to sort by... OR does anybody know if there are any other sites that do have this option to select from?
I don't really wanna make a juice that only has like 2 reviews on it, I wanna buy flavours that will mix good and be highly reviewed.
Thanks!
/u/chemicalburnvictim posted a pod variant of brigade. I believe /u/ID10-T has posted a couple pod-specific recipes or variants. Find mixers who come up with quality recipes and check their portfolios for pod recipes.
I haven't posted any despite talking sort of vaguely about them fairly often. Some of them will wind up in an ejuice line but I'm not sure which ones yet. But if anyone needs help mixing their own pod recipes and wants some advice about ingredients, concentrations, or general tips, I'm happy to help.
What /u/EdibleMalfunction said pretty much sums it up, though: "Stick to simple profiles. Fruit works really well. Flavor percentages will need to be increased."
Forget about nuances and accents and bakery textures and all that stuff. Sweetener also helps a lot and the % of that doesn't really need to be increased for pods (though you have to be aware that your pods won't last as long if you use it). Ditto for coolants, but coolants don't seem to affect pod life. I love WS-23 but because it gets you on the inhale and right at top of the exhale, where it can interfere with fruity top notes, I have been tearing though FA Polar Blast on these pod juices. Even such a low % that it doesn't provide much of a cool sensation, it really helps to have a cool finish on those things. Tobacco works really well too, but the best/easiest to use ones tear up pods as fast as sweetener or faster.
I just started converting my normal recipes. It's not too difficult. Take a recipe with a max of 3 flavors(not counting coolants or sweeteners), nic to 35 and use salts, double flavor percentages(except for coolants/sweeteners), and mix at 50/50.
Pod systems do not work well with "hints of" recipes. So I've also had good luck taking a complex recipe and simply removing anything less than 1%, but this takes a bit of finesse knowing what can be dropped and what is crucial. Like I get it, in a dripper that 0.5% hazelnut makes the tobacco pop. But in a pod, it will be completely lost.
There are no pod specific recipes. Stick to simple profiles. Fruit works really well. Flavor percentages will need to be increased
There are plenty of pod-specific recipes. I think what you mean is, there's no one place to find them.
/u/FUNNYBOOBIESLOL the reason you don't see that many reviews is that not that many people have been mixing for pod systems that long. If it has two glowing reviews, it should be fine.
This Guy has been cranking them out, though.
And while I haven't tried this exact recipe, Mango Pineapple by /u/kindground , I've mixed some similar things and it looks to be on point.
And here's a recipe for a Sour Strawberry by a talented mixer.
Just type in "Salt" or "Pod" in the search bars and lots of things come up.
edit: type not time stupid fat fingers
How would u make Gods Milk and Mother of Dragons Milk into a pod recipe or u wouldn’t?
I wouldn't. If I wanted a strawberry & cream recipe that works in pod I'd probably try mixing an obscene amount of CAP Sweet Strawberry and a little FLV Smooth Vanilla.
The nuances of a hint of strawberry and light vanilla cream that MoDM has would probably not work in a pod. If I wanted to make something at all similar I'd load up way high on the dragonfruit like 12% and choose either strawberry or vanilla. Maybe bust out the Alpine Strawberry or, again, Smooth Vanilla, at 1%, but not both. Which is actually an obscene amount for either those as well. And probably add a little sweetener and FA Polar Blast too.
As others have noted, keep it as simple as possible. My workday vape is a VERY tight MTL (tighter than most pods). The flavor is a little better than pods just because it's rebuildable and I can adjust my wattage and all that jazz, but not by much simply because I don't need it to be while I'm at work.
If you like tobaccos, it's hard to go wrong with Flavorah's tobacco flavors. My daily banger for the past 2-3 weeks has been 1.5% Flavorah Oriental tobacco with 6mg nicotine. I'd probably go up a touch to 1.75 or 2% for a pod, but definitely start it at 1.5 if you mix it, i'm not sure how it'll behave that high. Flavour Art Blood Orange is a GREAT single flavor to me and it mixes well with most other citruses, stone fruits and maybe even some sweeter berries and the like and could easily be used in a 2-3 flavor fruit mix that would work well in a pod. Stay away from creams and desserts as they honestly just don't work all that well in MTL or pod situations.
