This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the September Recipe Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread?
Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.
If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.
Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping!
Happy Vaping!
A few works in progress but mostly just 23 different single-flavor mints, only one of which was abysmally terrible. Just say no to FW Chocolate Mint. AMA about the other 22.
I need to get out from under some projects and flavor testing so I can do some more recreational mixing of other people's recipes. Some of them look amazing, like this Strawberry Cake 3-2-1 by /u/mlNikon and Vanilla Cronut by the same. The Vanilla Cronut I'm less sure about because I haven't tried the Croissant yet, but I can sort of taste that strawberry cake in my head from looking at the ingredients, it looks beautiful, elegant.
I just ordered a few mints. I’ve always liked a simple mint vape, but wasn’t happy a while back when I made some.
I ordered SC- Double Mint, INW mix mint, and INW eucalyptus mint. Thoughts on those?
Also got koolada and ws23 coming to tinker with those.
INW Mix Mint I have not tried. I hear it's a very heavily mentholated peppermint-forward flavor that's "fresh and bitey" and so super strong that 1% of it is downright painful. Start at 0.25%.
IWN Eucalyptus w/Mint I don't really get any mint from, just menthol-eucalyptus. It's like vaping Vicks Vapo-Rub. Which, if you're sick, is awesome. It'll clear those stuffy sinuses right up. I don't care for it unless I'm sick but if you like eucalyptus cough drops you will probably love it.
Do you mean Wonder Flavours' SC Double Mint or a different SC Double Mint?
Dang, I read the inw mix mint was less mentholated, as I’m not a huge fan.
I did get the cough drop for when I’m sick, which happens now more regularly with 2 little ones!
And the last one is that wonder flavors double mint, which I hear is super strong. Hoping for a very simple mint vape!
Edit. In the throws of traveling across the county, I had mushy brain. I ordered INW Mint, not the mix mint. Have any notes on that one?
Oh yeah I sft’ed inw eucalyptus tonight and blech that was unpleasant at 1%. I love menthols too. More like a Fisherman’s Friend than menthol.
I should add that I vaped all of it too. I still appreciate a strong flavor even if I can’t imagine how I’d use it other than when feeling stuffed up.
>AMA about the other 22
- Was FA Spearmint (white winter) one of the 22 you tried?
- If so, did you like it?
- What profile(s) do you think FA Spearmint works best in?
- Do you have a favourite FA Spearmint recipe and if so can you list it please?
That's me taking advantage of your AMA!
I'm pretty sure I ordered a chocolate mint in my first order... ìirc it was blacker than FA Cocoa so I was hesitant to ever try it. Is there a good chocolate mint, or am I best off using separate mint and chocolate?
The only "Chocolate Mint" I've tried is FW. It's so bad. If that's the one you have maybe put it in some coffee or hot cocoa or cake frosting... or just throw it out... but don't vape it.
You might want to try FLV Creme de Menthe. It's a very poorly named concentrate. It doesn't taste like creme de menthe. There's a solid chocolate in there that makes it tastes like a Junior Mint. The mint part even tastes like the inside of a Junior Mint instead of like a creme de menthe.
You'd want to accentuate that with a little more chocolate if you're after something more chocolately like a York patty or Andes mint or building a Thin Mint cookie. But then if you're doing that you're already using a separate mint and chocolate so you could just build your own with a different mint.
- Lava Flow by /u/Chrisdvr1 - Third time I mixed it. Upped FA Coco to 3% to boost the coconut a bit, perfect strawberry vape for me.
- Bavarian Cream Doughnut by /u/slashaLo - FA Zeppola and FA Joy doing some magic here. Perfect cream, little citrus ting to it.
- Horchata by /u/xGRANITEx - never had Horchata, so I can't compare it to the original. Mixed it up to give FE Sweet Rice another try, but that flavor really isn't for me. Might mix it up again without Sweet Rice (didn't enjoy Mango Sticky Rice either, so 🤷 )
- Best Damn RY4 by homegrownvapors - Magic. Somewhere between a nice RY4 and a thick vanilla caramel cream. Glad I let it steep for a month.
Haven't followed up on the Rhubarb Cheesecakes except steeping them a bit. First one with only VT Rhubarb Compote developed a very strong cheesecake taste. Second one with INW Rhubarb didn't steep that long (woops), but still needs more fruit.
Leche de Coco by /u/hashslingingslashur. I'm sure you all know it so I don't have to post a link.
It's my first more complicated recipe and I'm really digging it. I really didn't expect the realness of the coconut. Just epic.
I noticed one thing tho. I would like it a little sweeter. I'm sweet kind of guy, when it comes to vaping. Do you think that upping FA Meringue to 1% would work? I don't have any sweetener in my stash. Any recommendations?
>Do you think that upping FA Meringue to 1% would work? I don't have any sweetener in my stash.
Yep@! That should tide you over til you get some sweeteners.
I have been working on vaping numerous half filled bottles I've accumulated:
- Tenacious T by u/skiddlzninja - Pretty solid recipe, but the tobacco makes it a bit weird for me.
- Goofy's Juice by Stafylidis Vladimiros - I mostly decided to try this because it was the top rated recipe on ELR.
- Slow Deocide by u/mlNikon - A ridiculously authentic strawberry milkshake, and one of my favorite S&Cs.
- Sang Petillant by DIY or DIE - A bright, citrus forward blood orange champagne one-shot.
- Old Skewl by fresh03 - An awesome ready-to-vape custard combination made from ice cream.
- The Pink Kiwi by Tootall - I really enjoy this simple 1-2-3 recipe utilizing pink guava.
- Morning Bowl by madamimadam - I'm a cereal recipe fan and this one is pretty solid, it's strawberry and banana.
- Longing by u/ID10-T - The sadness ice cream recipe that introduced me to FLV Cream, I'm eternally grateful.
- u/eyemakepizza's Melon Recipe - It's a very bright and delicious mixed melon recipe.
- God Milk by u/skiddlzninja - I probably don't need to explain this one, a very bright and clean S&C recipe.
- Cardinal by Fear - I didn't think it was possible to improve on HHGRY4, but this does it.
- Toasted by Mr Burgundy - I will always have a bottle of this mixed up, cinnamon sugar corn flakes.
- Vanilla Cronut by u/mlNikon - I'm trying to hold off as much as possible on finishing this so it can steep.
- A project I've been working on with u/ID10-T has given me many testers to finish, they're not all bad.
- My Mixers' Club submission has done the same.
- Finally, I've been vaping my latest public creation Xinxian, a full discussion can be found here.
Hopefully I will find a balance between mixing and vaping, because the new bottles keep adding up.

> /u/ID10-T has given me many testers to finish, they're not all bad.
Interesting 'praise'
It's a difficult project. Not every attempt is going to be a winner, but I think you will like the end result. You, juthinc, personally. It's a profile you want, I promise.
/u/AlfredPudding you're vaping all those previous versions? I've done tossed those in the box that'll be donated to needy vapers once it fills up. The days when I used to force myself to hate-vape every drop of failure have long passed.
Here's what I'm rockin this week:
ATF:
Thrice Pudding Twice by LonesomeRhodesTN
I personally mixed this up because I have FE Sweet Rice but I havent used it in anything recently. This is just a damn good rice pudding in my opinion. I threw it in an atomizer after 3 days just to let everything settle and the starch notes with the caramel really blend well together. From my previous experiences with FE Sweet Rice, I think VT Rice Base is acting as a booster for the rice base and I'm really enjoying it. I think I want to do single flavor tests on VT Pudding and Rice base separately though to confirm it. If you're into rice pudding I would definitely give this a try.
My Stuff:
I have been destroying my 120ml of This is Just a Tribute that I made in celebration of the recipe being finished. It really is my favorite apple cinnamon recipe.
Root Beer Float 2
I decided that StarsandClouds and Mr Burgandy from ATF needed to have a baby. I'm attempting to combine The Spider with Fitz and so far it is going fairly well:
MFG|Flavor|% :-:|:-:|:-: VT|Creaming Soda|2% VT|Fizzy Sherbet|1.5% DFS|Holy Vanilla|1% FLV|Root Beer|4% CAP|Super Sweet|0.25% LB|Vanilla Ice Cream|3% OTHR|WS-23|0.5%
I am really enjoying it, but at the same time I think LB Vanilla Ice Cream could use a slight bump. Although I'm not sure if the issue is not enough LB Vanilla Ice Cream or too much FLV Root Beer. I definitely plan to tinker with it more because this is a great start. If you wanna try this batch give it about 5 days.
currently, working on Vanilla Wafer Banana Pudding. Waiting for [Dutchie's Stropwafel](http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/566942/Dutchie%20-%20a%20Delicious%20Stroopwafel](Dutchie's Stroopwafel) to finish it's week long steep tomorrow.
- Forbidden Fruit by mr. Ckemist, however I think I had the wrong cherry flavor and used Wisnia Cherry instead of INW Cherries. At the percentage he called for I think it was a mistake. The mix is good albeit a bit waxy and not as sweet as I expected a fruit vape to be.
- my Iron Monkey a "Bananas Foster with a bourbon caramel drizzle and a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream." It's a twist on my go-to banana bread-ish mix I've always defaulted back to, this time without TFA BNB and with FW Caramel Cinn Roll instead. Excellent flavor to use btw.
- Still got Turkish Jade in the kayfun. It's my primary tobacco/cigarette vape now whenever a craving hits.
- Buttersquatch tried my hand at a creamy butterscotch. May have overflavored though, just didn't come out super well. Still vapeable though.
A few different projects... I got impatient and started vaping my Red Army before the month was up... I really am liking how it's developing, but it's not quite what I had expected... need to come up with a way to dry it back to tobacco range before I attempt any more tobacco custards. Still vaping candidates for my "Bloomin' Tangerine"... not sure how many more iterations it'll be. I should probably start keeping track of variants on it better, for when I do post it. And... just mixed up a bizzaro grack variant with some FLV Boysenberry. Dunno yet if that was madness or genius. Or being too drunk to read labels. I'm liking it so far, tho.
Decadent Vapours Absinthe at 5%: https://www.chefsflavours.co.uk/dv-concentrates/2911-absinthe.html
I'm doing a SFT and with about 15 hours of steeping I can say that it just took the crown from FLV Creme De Menthe as the best single flavor vape, which those 2 are probably the only ones I'd vape straight up without putting anything in it.
I'm going to have some fun with this flavor and my head is already spinning but I'm going to use it more as an accent than a primary, which would be just fine, but I think it could bring a lot of mixes to the next level.
I'm literally the only one on ATF that has That's Nice Anise: https://www.chefsflavours.co.uk/flavourart-concentrates/3009-that-s-nice-anise.html - but it's awesome, or better yet unique. It has a very very light anise flavor with a chocolate note and the word musky comes to my mind as I've never had anything like it with almost a dark caramel at the end. It will play well with so many mixes with an obvious combo with FLV Creme De Menthe to kick up the chocolate and Vanilla's for sure. I've never had a tobacco vape ever, but I would think this would be perfect for that.
https://www.chefsflavours.co.uk/flavourart-concentrates/2091-pernoir.html -- I'll try later as I bet my cotton and coils got blasted which is my last Anise/Absinthe flavor from when I went on a rampage at chefs. I did get TPA's Absinthe V2 but why bother when I have DV's and I also picked up DV Black Liquorice but it either needs to steep more or my %'s are off because I'm not a fan right now as it tastes the same as FW that's 8x cheaper.
