I have ordered a bottle of unflavoured salt nic juice with 50/50 vg/pg and 12mg nic. I am going to vape it with my sub ohm tanks. I want to mix some flavours with that to see what all the fuss is about the salt nic.
Has anybody done it before? I am sorry if this topic was discussed before.
My thinking is that , there should not be much diffrence in the flavour or generally as a juice.
Bit sceptical about the whole salt nic hype.
12mg salt will feel something like a 5-6 freebase as far as throat hit
You'll be fine. You'll just need to take fewer pulls, which is the goal, for me at least.
thanks...what is funny, is that some time ago every body was chasing that throat hit and vendors were promoting a good throat hit.
Now it appears it is not "inn".
i just bought some 72mg nic salt still waiting for my flavors and vg to arrive so mixed it with some 3mg strawberry 100% vg freebase in a ratio that would normally make 18mg nic salt but because of the freebase already in not sure what it would make maybe around 21 mg it was a bit rough so diluted down slightly
But in regards of mixing...there should not be much difference in flavour?
I'll no doubt get a flurry of downvotes but in my experience salt has a negative impact on flavour profile. I'm back on freebase and it tastes much better even at equivalent strengths.
Do a test batch first. I'm doing almost the same thing except I'm mixing freebase and salts together. The salt juice I tried had a bitter taste to it and I'm not sure if that was just a bad batch or if it is just salt juice. I also sub ohm my salts and it was 30 mg juice, but I also sub ohm 24 mg freebase with no issues.
that is what i want to do...but what should come out of the mix of two nics. what is the procentage of two two juices you are mixing?
I've never heard of a Nic Base being referred too as a percentage before. The Freebase is defined as 100Mg/Ml on down...Even Nude Nicotine has Nic Salts listed that way. And if it is that way and /u/Lo0shCat has 100Mg/Ml Nic Salt base, then yeah 5% would = 50Mg/Ml. But unless my eyes deceive me, he/she doesn't state how strong their Nic Base is.
I bought a bottle of salts to mix for a friend who wanted to get off the ciggies. She ended up quitting cold turkey. So now I use them in my subohm but I mix super low at 0.5mg generally. It’s so low I’d hardly notice a difference if it were freebase or otherwise. I do notice, however, that it will seem like a fair throat hit if I vape any of my freebase juices above 1 by comparison. Also, I mtl at 1.5 -6 depending and now I notice a difference between the freebase and the salt at this level.
You need a low wattage device designed for nic salt vaporization
No you don't
*Should
Ya definitely should. I'm waiting for my pod style from Smoant right now to do exactly this. Something small I can take to the bars as that's where I find I have a hard time not smoking and don't like bringing a big mod everywhere.
Plus it's nice to be able to step outside for a couple of drags at work really quick without the giant cloud.
Fasttech has some good options and a few you can actually rebuild the pods yourself.
I don't recommend sub ohm for nic salts. People do do that but I just got 5% nic salt and I'm on a 1.0 ohm coil in a breeze 2 and I keep coughing on it. It's harsh.
5% = 50mg/ml
There's a reason you think it's harsh.

I was a pack and half per day smoker. I am a relative newbie and been vaping for about 4 months. I started out using commercial freebase nic products at a 12mg/ml level and that was way to harsh for me but I couldn't get enough nicotine to satisfy my addiction.
About a month after I started I discovered salts. Started out on 35mg/ml and it still wasn't enough for me. I ended up vaping 50mg/ml using an AIO MTL device (Aspire PockeX). I finally found a decent nicotine level and (for me) it is not anywhere near harsh - couldn't do that with freebase. But you definitely need to use a 1.0 or 1.2 Ohm coil (no sub ohm stuff) or you'll burn out your coil in less than a day otherwise.

Umm. 5% man. Why do you think that doesn't work well?

thanx
but everybody says that you can vape salts on subohm tanks if you use the mg of nic as you use them in normal juice
I've been only using salt nic in all my mixes (3mg/ml up to 45mg/ml) since last December. Lots of DL and MTL juices. Imo it's much nicer than freebase in every regard. It doesn't oxidize noticeably to me at all, it's substantially smoother(20mg/ml is equal to 6mg/ml in DL, in my experiments(no I don't do this I stick to 6)), and it hits me more quickly. All around nicer imo.
You can, but I really dislike salt nic in a DL setup. It's all personally preference but I feel salts in my chest and it's not that pleasant, like a tickle bordering on needing to cough. But you may like it!
